SPECIAL FEATURES
- Beam Weapon Traits - Beam Weapons by their nature are highly accurate, they primarily deal Heat damage with low Ion damage. The damage is continuous while it maintains contact with a targetted object and increases gradually (beginning at Low and raising to Average). The beams appear bright orange.
- Unlimited Munitions - Providing the ship has power, the Tlamin PD has unlimited ammunition.
- Myoflex Heatsinks - Provides additional heat absorption enabling sustained fire.
- Exceptional Tracking - The Tlamin is highly accurate across its effective range, it can track fast-moving targets such as Missiles.
- Heat Generation - Sustained fire is limited by the heatsinks capacity resulting in reduced effectiveness over long periods. If the Heatsink is destroyed or damaged the weapon system may similarly fail.

The Tlamin has become a staple of Avali Starship design, a modern Particle weapon designed as a dedicated point defence system becoming a favourite for its limitless ammunition and ability to deal with most common threats such as asteroids. In a military capacity, with exceptional tracking, the Tlamin provides adequate protection from most lightly armoured and fast-moving objects making it comparable to common high-grade civilian PD.
This has primarily been attributed to the Avali's spacefaring culture, making traditional limited munition weapon systems less favourable.
