Neldar eventually turned around after having what seemed to be a small fit, but a fit nonetheless; a mental battle. He wasn't insane, but to others...it may have seemed that way, although he was arguing with his Kalduu. Neldar abruptly interrupted anyone who may have spoken up, apologizing for doing so, but speaking up and getting [member="Bryce Bantam"] s attention.

"Mistuh Bryce," Neldar said loudly. As he started to speak, the droid translated from his Huttese. "Neldar would like to sincerely apologize if it appears as if he is uninterested in the event, he has been mentally struggling with something, but that is over for the moment. He'd like to apologize for the fact he can not properly participate, as at this time he and his company are currently too low on funds to make an investment, but he wishes to assure mister Bantam that he very much supports this project, albeit not as physically as others. Once the structural plans have been established, Neldar would like to offer improvements. Once the basic structure is made, and they are sent to his companies representative, they will begin sketching up and creating improvements to the structure and armor, as Golan Arms is famous for their sturdy and dominant space stations. Also, the Representative will create some Golan Arms Installation Weapons; he will make Golan Arms weapons that are suitable for space stations that are compatible with your stations. Neldar hopes this is enough to gain him forgiveness, as he truly does support this, he just can't as physically as he would like to. That is the extent that he can offer for free; tonnages of resources and materials, improvement of your designs, and physical weapon systems you can easily attach and configure for your space stations. Does Mister Bantam find this acceptable?" The droid tilted its head, waiting for a reply.

Golan Arms will offer a number of Space Station weapons for your use, Bryce. In a PM later we can discuss what you'd like if anything, and I will put some items on the table. Sorry for no investment, Neldar did acquire funds recently, but they happened after this event. Perhaps later he can help monetarily. But this should put-way to increased armor and defenses, if not structural integrity of the station. Maybe we can discuss a custom weapon, as well. I'm out on the road at this very moment, but should be home in the next half hour to send you a message

Dunames Lopez

Megalomaniac CEO of Star Tours
"Knowing what both I and my colleague Cathul here have to offer, I'm afraid neither of us can build either station in its entirety. Nevertheless, can we be part of a joint bid with other parties? Given the description of Grandle Ott and Aaris III projects, we feel that it is best to make a joint bid with each interested party. And, if my understanding is correct, Cathul is a better fit to work with the Guild of Hammers on Aaris III than for Grandle Ott"

Never would Dunames suspect anything. Building a large civilian station, 5000m in size, to be built as an attraction? A tourist trap much like Jiroch-Reslia was, to the standards of the Wheel and/or the Hologram Fun World? To be fair Jiroch-Reslia was a pet project of the governor of its time, especially since it gained a spot under the touristic spotlight by Hyperspace Traveler. Korriban was under the spotlight for this month, and Kriselist as well. Perhaps Dunames had the poorest understanding of the situation and Cademimu was her grand demonstration as to how failure to understand the local situation led to failure. Plus Hoth was found to be best operated on a small scale; all too many complaints arose from how patrons froze outside after going down just one slope and how they needed to get back to the heat of their prefabricated shelters for at least twice as long as they needed to get up and down that one ski slope, before going down another.

Audren had to work to keep his face neutral. Ceredir didn't have the resources or knowledge needed to build a space station, not even remotely close to it. He'd come here under the expectation of contributing in exchange for a mid-sized shop and inclusion in the decision-making process. Ceredir didn't need more than that, and this was a speculative investment as well. Not something to sink the entire company into.

The locations involved weren't quite what he'd expected either. Rather than being at Kal'Shebbol or the other systems that could be easily navigated to, these stations would be at Grandle Ott and Aaris III, systems that he'd not even heard of before arriving here. Even if the hyperlanes were expanded, these planets wouldn't be first on people's minds when it came to traveling. Nor did they seem to support the kind of products that Ceredir offered, which meant if he wanted a shop here he'd have to expand the company in a whole new way. That wasn't branching out, that was growing a new tree.

However...his new hire had a working relationship with a shipyard, and the two companies had been throwing designs around for space stations. Theoretical, but one or two of the designs might work for what the population of Aaris III was requesting. And while they wouldn't have a shop presence, this would be playing a longer game. The up-front money wouldn't be nearly enough to build the station, but the space ownership and the toll percentages would, over time, pay for the initial investment and beyond. And if Ceredir and their partner bought into the project equally, neither would lose quite as much money up front.

So he took the offered datapad and turned away to make a call to Tarlanc. Korlynn would have to contact the partner to verify they wanted in, but he had a feeling they would. Putting their name across the desk of a major galactic government was a way to build business, even if they didn't win the contract. Once he got the okay several long minutes later, he uploaded the designs and handed the datapad back to the assistant who'd given it to him.
