DESCRIPTION
Sieron NovaTech doesn't get its profits from producing nothing.
As part of its technological consumer goods market, the TCHD Datapad is a rugged model with performance comparable to a standard datapad on the market. Where normally SNTC would focus its sights on improving performance and heightening the abilities of the device, the engineers who came in contact with R. M. Sieron realised that delicate and highly-crafted was not always the answer.
Functionally, it is the same as a regular datapad. It is capable of storing data, sending data, receiving data, keeping notes, taking pictures, etc. Physically, it is bulky, a little uncomfortable to store on the person, but ultimately can withstand one blaster shot, maybe two or three if they're glancing blows. It also has mild resistance to an EMP burst. It'll shut off, but you can turn it on after the wave passes due to its insulation.
If it does manage to break through heavy abuse, it's heavy enough to use to club people over the head, so it's also somewhat functional as a blunt weapon.
