Halm - Ooru Mining Colony
It was a quiet day.
Everything seemed to be running entirely as normal. The Ooru mining colony was a busy place, set up in the middle of one of Halm's great outer deserts. It functioned partially as it's name implied, but also as a waystation, warehouse, and rallying point for those heading out further into the arid world's embrace. All of which to say; Ooru was a busy place. Enough residents to sustain more than a few taverns, fuel stations, and guard posts.
There were plenty of opportunities in a place like this. With a keen enough mind and just a little bit of intelligence one could make a killing in a town such as Ooru. Just large enough to be necessary, but small enough for most to call it unimportant.
Just the sort of place someone could easily hide themselves away.
One such man was Commander Eren Celd. A former Sith Officer long retired, and once in charge of certain facets of the Prison camps on Empress Teta. It had taken months to track him down to Ooru, but the right amount of credits, the correct word whispered into the wrong ear, and eventually Vask had managed well enough. Celd was here, living his life in a manor house bought by the suffering of others.
His connections weren't deep, but enough that he'd managed a wall and a few turrets placed around them, not that they would be much help.
Vask sat back quietly on his haunches, perched on a roof top just half a block away.
Macro-binoculars sat pressed against his helmet as he watched the entrance of the Manor house. Rocking slowly back and forth on his heels as the patience within him slowly wound thin. Dawn was coming, and he was very much hoping that the old man would stick to his routine. It hadn't taken long to figure out, military man as he was Celd had always run to a schedule, and once Vask had seen it, setting things up had been easy.
Almost right on cue the former Commander stepped out of his front door, a hand waving back as he said goodbye to his daughter for the final time. Vask continued to watch as the old man wandered towards his airspeeder, grabbing the handle of the door - his visor went briefly white as the explosion erupted a minute early, the shockwave striking him a second later as klaxons almost immediately began to blare. "Mm."
Vask grunted. "Fuse was short."
The Tetan shook his head, turning on his heel and clipping the binoculars back onto his belt. He'd killed the man he'd come for, now he just had to get off-world.
