- State of the Art Versions of all Standard Equipment

- Field Disruption: The disruptor allows a fighter to slip beneath the shields of larger craft in order to directly attack the hull of the ship.
- HUD: The HUD makes tracking friend and foe much easier while also marking projectiles and other objects for avoidance. Pulots are much more efficient as a result.

- Profile: Most TIE fighters arent as long as this one, which increases the overall profile and targetable area.
- Fixed Weapons: Modern design is a turretable weapon with a gunner assigned to their control. This TIE lacks this capability which means it can only fire direct front.

The TIE-X was designed to be the standard space superiority fighter of the Risen Empire. With average technical specifications and a slightly better than average defense, the standard Xn variant is comparable to most combat starfighters throughout the galaxy. It is somewhat larger than most TIE fighters, and maintains the older style of fixed weapons emplacements, but makes up for it in the ability to slip through shields. The Xs variant is slightly better equipped, faster, and more maneuverable than the Xn, but there are far fewer of them because of the cost.
