STRENGTHS
  • Own the Stars: Despite being a millenia old, you wouldn't know it, as their top flight manuevering and speed along with powerful defenses make them extremely deadly for all but the greatest of pilots to face in battle, and their powerful weapons can possibly bring down all but the most heavily defended fighters in a dog fight
  • Aegis: It's Hull and Shields are extremely durable, and even examples dating all the way back to the original First Order are often found in a fully combat capable state
  • Hotness: Look at that thing. It's...it's amazing. It will definitely turn heads, and the idea of receiving it as a reward for doing you a favor can open a surprisingly high number of doors. Just be sure you really can let this beauty go. True Love happens only once.
  • Stealthy: These masterpieces are equipped with a stealth field generator, enabling them to hide for an extended period
WEAKNESSES
  • Overheat Issues: Due to the age of these unsecured examples of a TIE/vn, often aged a hundred or more years old, while they will still offer top flight performance most of the time, the age of these particular craft can often make their powerful laser weapons overheat after ten to twenty seconds of firing, and start to lose accuracy if firing continues for more than two to three seconds. Also, if the engines are gunned to max speed for more than a minute, they tend to overheat and drop to low speed for a few moments while the engine cools down
  • Stealth Limits: Another issue brought about by the age of these preserved examples, The Stealth Field Generator can only be active for a total of two hours before it needs over 14 to recharge
  • Repair Limits: Its parts are highly specialized and difficult to calibrate properly/come by in the field. A Vendetta that has suffered extensive enough damage will take longer to repair, especially with the age of these particlar examples, and its more expensive to repair, leading to them only to be taken out for truly deadly opponents
  • Green Eyed Monsters: It's too beautiful for its own good. Seeing it is bound to turn some poor bastard of an NPC into a Gollum, and this fighter WILL be their precious. (They will obsessively try to steal it)
  • Recharge Issues: The age of these craft mean that their shields take longer to recharge after being depleted, and need frequent recalibrations after every sortie.
  • Imbalances: Speed is higher than agility
DESCRIPTION

Developed by The First Order, the TIE Vendetta, or TIE Silencer, is one of the greatest fighter designs ever made, not just because it can legit kick the teeth in of most modern fighters despite being millenia old, but because that design is so gosh darn gorgeous. I mean, look at it. LOOK AT IT. Doesn't it just make you want to sign up for the First Order to fly that bad boy?

A stealthy recon fighter, the Vendetta was never deployed in massed numbers due to the immense expense, but any who fly such a wonder had better be sure they have the skill to back it up, for such fighters are not an abode for the unworthy, and novice pilots will only put themselves in danger if not ready to control its awesome power.

Most fighters that ended up in hands other than First Order pilots were unsecured examples, lost sometimes via a misplaced shipment (Someone surely died for that) or obtained by a Moff with the right connections and put in a rainy day storage. Others still might have been used in some testing facility by the now twice-defunct Junta. Whatever the reason they ended up unsecured, they are often once in a lifetime finds, their sturdy, dependable construction often rendering them still combat capable to an immense degree despite having hundreds of years pass since they were first constructed. They are considered rare status symbols, selling for potentially millions when found in an ancient storehouse or some such, at two or even four times the price for what it originally took to build one.

Such Fighters are never easy to locate unless as an heirloom (Which raises its own questions at times), but when they are, and if they should prove worthy they will be granted the power of Th--

--wait, nevermind. You spot any pilot in this thing, you do what Pantoliano would. You run.
