ADVANCED SYSTEMS
C-3a "Mercury" Class Communications Suite: Haon finally broke down and bought a supply of them, hoping they will come in handy. These are much more updated communications systems than before, hoping it be more challenging for them to break into. (x)
Maneuvering Jets: While pitted all across the TIE/UD, it allows it to make complex turns while keeping the extreme amount of speed possible to do all of this. (x)
Scramjet Booster: How it is able to get to such extreme speeds in a hurry. Activating it will give the speed it requires possible for a short period of time before needing a recharge. In space however, that recharge is very short while in atmospheric, it can take a while.
ST2X Targeting Computer: While slightly aged in todays standards, it is still a prime example of targeting computer technology, allowing the user to keep target locked on and perform complex maneuvers while giving ridicules on where to fire. (x)
Phkalt Metal has been added on to allow a cloaking like device on board, not enough to truly add for defense, merely to interlaid and vanish.
STRENGTHS
- Turn And Fade!: It can turn extremely well, mostly from the Maneuvering Jets pitted all around the wings to the point of hilariousness.
- No SLAM/Scramjet Limit: Unlike previous generations, this SLAM is more perfect than the last one. It is almost close to full realization as it never overloads on this starfighter.
- Stealthy!: The Phkalt can be magnetically turned on and vanish the TIE/UD in a hurry, making it much harder to find by the naked eye when dogfighting. Better yet, it remains in stealth when firing!
- Clean the Jets!: It is not something anyone wants to do, but after landing on a high pollution planet or going through high debris fields, the maneuvering jets must be cleaned out, else it may cause jams and reduce maneuverability.
- Exposed Missile Launchers: They are bright red and hard to miss, they are mounted externally to avoid messing with critical systems. A good hit will ignite them and with it, the entire starfighter.
- Useless in Atmosphere my Phkalt!: Attempting to use the stealth device would automatically fail, as it would corrode and make the starfighter visible.
Elite Starfighters, more known as those more taken care of for better pilots, been a staple in most militaries. When Haon Hafey said he had a new idea for the new generation, people were ready to look it over. When the design was unveiled, they wondered if Haon Hafey finally short circuited a design. There was no way else to put it other than it looked like a box with brackets on the sides. Once however the cockpit was entered into, it was completely state of the art with nearly no credit left out of expense. Even the new Phkalt Metal has been installed, though in shavings and brought the design down by about six tons, making it very heavy. The term UD was meant to be Updated Defender, which hopefully it met though some still call him crazy on this being a TIE.
