Podracing has proved so popular, in fact, that the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has been forced to fully legalize the sport, despite the many reservations that they hold against those who participate in it.

Of course, the legalization of Podracing has also brought a number of tangible benefits to the Imperial Remnant, with the most important of these benefits being increased credit collection from the sport's many spectators and gamblers. Podracing has always been a lucrative business, but with Mahporeem's reopening to the galaxy, the potential to gain credits has only skyrocketed.
