Through the Glass of Business

After her successful trip to Galantos, Taeli decided to make the short trip to Widek to make a business proposition to her. She suspected [member="Darth Vivaldi"] would be very interested in establishing shipyards over Widek to increase her world's standing amongst the Sith and to accelerate her world's growth and power.

"Widek Control, this Darth Arcanix requesting permission to land at the palace landing pad."

"Permission granted, Darth Arcanix," the reply was fast, as if they had been expecting her. Carliah was there to meet her when Taeli got off of her ship. She was wearing her usual clothing, although instead of red and black it was black and purple. The Mad Queen had her signature smirk on her face as she waited for her... Friend? Let's go with friend, its the easiest way to explain. [member="Darth Arcanix"]

"Carliah," Taeli said, greeting her . . . friend, well as much a Sith can have a friend. "So I see you're still going with the whole insane design motif here."

She smiled to take some of the sting out of her words, showing she didn't mean any offense to the Mad Queen. Annoying Carliah, while fun sometimes, was not what had brought her to the Widek system. After successfully establishing the new facilities on Galantos, she had thought it might be prudent to come to Widek and seek a similar sort of thing with the Miraluka, but more focused on Krayt's primary purposes of shipbuilding and anti-matter research.

"I was in the sector, doing business, when an interesting idea crossed my mind I thought you might like to hear," she continued saying. "Shall we take this elsewhere?"

Carliah merely grinned in response to Taeli's teasing remark and led her into the palace, into her green and silver sitting room. A small pot of tea was sitting on the table next to a plate of tarts. The Miraluka took a seat and poured herself a cup, leaning back and glancing over at Taeli.

"Well, what is it that has brought you here then Taeli?" Carliah asked, wasting no time in getting to the heart of the problem. She seemed as if she was bother by something, though with the mad grin on her face it was hard to tell. [member="Darth Arcanix"]

She always did like how the insane Miraluka could cut straight to the point sometimes.

"To be perfectly blunt then, I want to establish shipyards and an anti-matter facility in orbit around Widek to have another operation site," Taeli said, pouring herself a cup of tea as well. "I'd be prepared to design an entire catalogue of ships for your own forces use as well to make sure we would have permission to build them and also you gain a massive amount of economic and industrial power within the Sith."

"Well if that's all why would I say no? I enjoy weapons of mass destruction... And ships... Could you build me a planet destroying laser while you're at it?" The last part was said with a bit of humor in her voice. Carliah wasn't about to deny her request if she got something good out of it. A fleet of ships would do her some good. Widek didn't have much for protection at the moment anyway. [member="Darth Arcanix"]

"Oh that was much easier than I thought it would be," Taeli chuckled, sipping her tea. "You wouldn't believe the headache I had on Galantos the last few days. Anyways, the ships built here would be both used for your personal forces and for Sith forces in general, but I have a feeling you wont mind that too much."

Thinking about the planet destroying laser for a moment, she considered making that a project but rejected it. Too much hassle and they always got destroyed super easily because of some design flaw.

"Sadly, no planet destroying lasers, but we will begin building the shipyards almost immediately, all we need is your permission."

"Well now that you have it feel free to start whenever. Is there anything else you needed while you are here? If not I have an offer for you," Carliah replied, wondering if this business venture was the only reason for Taeli's visit. She did enjoy the other Sith's company somewhat, and wondered if there was anything else Taeli needed to discuss with her. [member="Darth Arcanix"]

"No, I was only really in the neighborhood and thought I would ask," Taeli replied before the next question fell from the Mad Queen.

"Oh? What sort of offer?" Taeli asked immensely curious about what the Miraluka might propose. Although if it was anything too twisted, she was going to say no. She might enjoy spending time with Miraluka, but sometimes her ideas could be a bit much. Such as her decoration choices, but then that was a personal decision.

"Well, its almost time for my apprentice's first lesson. I was wondering, if you would like to learn Force Sight. It sounds like a concept you would be interested in exploring," Carliah explained with a small smirk, setting her now empty cup of tea down and glancing over at Taeli. The other Sith's thirst for knowledge was well known to her and she felt sure that Taeli would want to learn the technique Carliah had been born with. The Miraluka was a master of it now, but she remembered the days when she would still trip on invisible objects because she couldn't see inanimate objects. She laughed a bit at the thought. Taeli sighed, but she couldn't stop the excitement bleeding out of her aura.

"You know my weakness, I would indeed by extremely interested in learning Force Sight," she said, bouncing a little in her seat as she set her tea cup down. "When we would start?"

"Soon. I'll let you know. My apprentice doesn't know I plan to teach her Force Sight yet," Carliah replied, smiling at Taeli's eagerness. It was kind of entertaining, to see her trying to contain her excitement at the prospect of learning the ability. It wasn't as amazing as people seemed to believe, but the again the Mad Queen had been born with it, so the novelty had long since wore off for her. She often wondered what it would be like to have normal eyes, usually debating what color they would be. [member="Darth Arcanix"]
