The need to freeze and wait for Master Noble had been immediate. The Wookiees were, in nearly every respect, as intimidating as their reputations stated. Not only large but clearly strong and fierce, willing to protect their own at any cost. It was honorable, Fa-Olan had to admit, once you got past the claws and fangs and roars.
With blue eyes shifting back and forth as the pair spoke, Fa-Olan remained statue still.
Better not risk being smacked into a pillar.
Then Master Noble spoke, having understood the Wookiee mother. It was a relief. And while Fa-Olan didn't have any specific answers, he immediately felt the need to help the family at all costs. He couldn't stand by and let their father die. The Padawan continued to listen and was reassured when the Jedi Master began to explain the situation, providing some clarity to the mystery and danger of the old ruins and the Wookiee family.
"Right," Fa-Olan nodded as he quickly moved forward and started to assess the pack leader.
"There are deep claw cuts, some blaster wounds. I can start with the bleeding, then apply bacta patches to the burns."
Fa-Olan began to do just that, as he methodically started treating the larger Wookiee. Being so close, hearing the heavy breathing, smelling the forest in the warrior's fur, and seeing the intense eyes watching carefully, the Padawan couldn't help but feel awe-struck. Wookiees were amazing.
I can't wait to meet more nova sentients.
Bandages soon wrapped the deepest cuts, along with bacta spray to assist with healing the torn flesh. Fa-Olan began to pull out patches when he heard Master Noble mention Trandoshans...
"Oh! Aren't those natural enemies of the Wookiees?"
Fa-Olan had seen mention of the... reptilian species, if he recalled correctly, in some data files.
"They must be just as intimidating, if they can go toe-to-toe with Wook--"
The Padawan paused, his brows furrowed, patch mid-application...
"--murder... hunting... tracking. There's danger, Master Noble. Close!"
