Seems like it was decided pretty quickly the groups that were teaming up.

With Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor waving him over, he stepped along towards where the man was. Giving a glance over to Acier Moonbound Acier Moonbound , with a smile present behind his rebreather. "Looks like we're workin' together again. How've you been?"

After giving a wave towards the likes of Valery Noble Valery Noble , Fa-Olan Warren Fa-Olan Warren , Desbre Gensan Desbre Gensan , and Jax Thio Jax Thio and wishing them luck on what they needed to do, he followed Connel as the grouping started to make their way in. Did he know the man? Absolutely not. Only brief glimpses of him whenever they happened to be in the same area at the same time. But hey, this is another opportunity to meet a new person.

["Wrecked or not, I know this place like the back of my hand, so the three of us will head to the lower levels. I think there should be a group up here to back up those who went outside if they need it. Omega Squad is out there too, but they're not Force Sensitive."]

"Right. In that case, I'll follow your lead." A hand motioning ahead, before following behind the man. Keeping his flashlight up, as this place was way too dark for his liking.

Walking along, though halting suddenly as Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure dragged his blaster up, and pointed it towards an opening. Looking between the man and the opening for a few moments, though Vyn eventually lowered his arm. There was a gradual lean over, shining the flashlight's beam down into the opening.

["Looks like some endemic life has found refuge here."]

"Great..." Said with a huff, as he turned away from the opening. "All I know, is that if we decide to use this place, it's going to need some damn lights. And not just normal lights, I'm talkin' 'bout some industrial grade-"

["Hold..."]

He shut up, coming to another halt. Taking a moment to glance around, as he gave a look towards Ace and Connel. They both seemed to have picked up something, which is...not a very reassuring thing to witness. Shining the light around, to see if he can find what they were focusing on...

["Connel. Fancy seeing you here."]

There had been a flinch at the sudden voice, evident by the flashlight's beam shaking violently for a moment. Shining the light towards Matsu Ike Matsu Ike , as he looked up and down at her. Seemed pretty evident that the floating, glowing woman knew who Connel and Acier were, so he elected to stay quiet for the time being. After the conversation had concluded, he kept the light on her as she floated away.

"...goodbye?" Giving a glance back towards the others who were here, with a confused shrug.

When Connel offered the datapad to Fa-Olan, after a pause during the same to Master Noble, the Padawan slowly took the thing. He glanced between the pair, an awkward smile on his face, as he tried to avoid being dragged into any potential aggitation or insult. Since Fa-Olan had only been with the Jedi Order for a short time, he wasn't entirely sure what that had all been about, but it seemed the pair continued without too much happening.

Okay.

With a shrug, Fa-Olan tucked the datapad away and listened as Connel explained how it worked. It sounded pretty wizard, really. But that was fine, the Padawan would take care of it, and use it in case of emergencies, should any arise. He felt pretty confident being paired up with Master Noble, she was an incredible Jedi, and it was a chance for Fa-Olan to learn some things!

"As you command, Master Noble," Fa-Olan said with a nod, as the other Jedi mentioned covering their stretch and sticking together. He resisted the urge to salute. "I'll keep the datapad close by, just in case."

Fa-Olan nodded again when Master Noble gave sage advice.

"Funny you should mention that," the Padawan said, as he kept pace and alert. "The temple trainers said my instinctual use of the Force was pretty good. I was encouraged to look into something called the Living Force... but, before I could do that, things - uh - things happened. On Coruscant."

With a grimace, Fa-Olan pushed aside the memories of the event.

"Do we know what we might find? Or who? What if we discover some Wookiees, can you understand their language?"

Fa-Olan hadn't met a Wookiee, but he wanted to; he also hoped they were friendly, otherwise it could be a rough meeting...

: Was going to keep stacking boxes. Not a good idea for me to push myself too hard. :

As much as it pained Reina, she was doing her best to pace herself. Rushing straight back into the thick of things would only cause a potential breakdown for her. She wanted to be out there, fighting people and protecting people but at the same time she knew she was too eager to fight. Too eager to "punish" those she thought deserved it. To be fair, she wouldn't be doing too much fighting since she left her lightsaber with Colette...but hey. If Reina could find a way to fight, you best be sure that she'd have found some way to do it.

Obj I Upper Level -

No sooner did Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor , Gavin Restur Gavin Restur , and Acier Moonbound Acier Moonbound leave the main group when those left behind would hear not only a howling, but some kind of rustling and arguing? Was someone here? They did not sound all that violent, or even that they knew anyone else was here? Could they be surprised? Could a trap be laid?

Not really.

One side would find a small family of Wookiees, of the Shyyyo's Heart Tribe, the Patriarch was badly wounded, they were trying to hide from the Trandoshan slaving hunters. Yes, they would be happy to see Jedi, but mistrustful at the same time of how long it took someone to get here.

The other side would find a small group of Rodians. They seemed to be hiding as well, afraid but looking like they could handle themselves in a fight. In fact, weapons were not far away, weapons that were not meant for defense.

Obj II - When outside, Vera Noble Vera Noble , Tigris Aphra Tigris Aphra and Everest Vale Everest Vale would come upon a sleeping mother, and child Terantatek. They were dangerously close to the ruins. However there was also a strong light side presence nearby, and this was not Matsu Ike Matsu Ike .

Obj III - Word got back to the Obelisk, and those loading up the ships that those who had launched had run across an Imperial patrol, and alternate routing plans were being made. No news on what happened to the first group, though it is possible that Imperial ships were jamming comm frequencies.

Valery's steps slowed for a moment at Fa-Olan's mention of Coruscant. Her eyes lowered briefly, the weight of that memory still painful. "I was there, too," she said calmly, "We all lost a great deal that day." She looked at him then, her expression softening. There was no reason to linger on it any longer. They had a mission to complete.

When he asked about the Wookiees, a faint smile pulled at her lips. "I can understand any language if the speaker allows me to. The Force can bridge that gap. It is called Comprehend Speech." A smirk flickered across her face as she added, "So if we run into Wookiees, I will translate. Just be ready, sometimes their words are… very direct."

The sound of howling and movement in the distance pulled her attention forward. Her presence reached out, brushing against the distinct signatures ahead. She glanced at Fa-Olan, her decision made quickly. "Wookiees," she said, adjusting her grip on the strap of her pack. "Let's move to them. They will understand who we are, and if they need help, we can give it."

With that, Valery shifted her pace, leading them down the corridor toward the distressed family.

Zaiya straightened from the droid panel, brushing a bit of dust from her hands. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Michael Angellus making his way through the hangar, her interest perking as she saw the pilot.

The Lovalla Padawan's stripes rippled with a soft teal, joy flickering warm across her rosy golden skin as she lifted a hand in greeting. A faint golden glow threaded through the edges of her mottled spots, showing the perk in pleasure.

"Hey, Michael," she called lightly, wiggling her fingers before dropping her hand back down and getting back to work.

Just a bit more, she told herself, biting on the end of her stylus as she thought about what to do next.

"Okay, let's see," she muttered, scanning the datapad and moving toward the next stack of supplies.

Fa-Olan understood that few needed reminding of Coruscant, especially Master Noble. He nodded, hearing her words and the pain behind them, and decided to move away from that topic - unintentional as it had been to mention. Fa-Olan wanted to make sure to be more mindful in future, though he also couldn't promise that, he was naturally curious about - well - everything.

So, when the Force ability Comprehend Speech was mentioned by the Jedi Master, it was all the Padawan could do to not immediately ask a dozen questions. Instead, he continued to listen, focusing on how the power was explained, and found himself eager to see it sometime. The information about Wookiees also helped, offering some more clarity with how to approach or engage with the towering species, and again Fa-Olan hoped the opportunity would present itsel--

"Wh-Wookiees? Oh!"

--and without missing a beat, Fa-Olan began to run behind Master Noble. Senses opened, awareness spread, and the Padawan felt the emotions of the family of Wookiees like a creek that became a river current, stronger the closer the Jedi got. A few corridors, a small meditation hall, and a doorway later, Fa-Olan saw his first ever Wookiees. They were amazing, big and fur-covered, long limbed but clearly strong; these were a warrior species if ever Fa-Olan had seen some.

The family were huddled in an alcove, each showing evidence of injury, though they stood or crouched protectively in front of a bigger one:

"That one's hurt," Fa-Olan said as he blinked between the group. "I have medical supplies!"

Without thinking, Fa-Olan reached into his satchel and pulled a medkit free. He moved to the pack of Wookiees and slowed, holding up his hands peacefully, ready to provide assistance if they let him pass to help. There was fear, anger, pain. The Wookiees were on edge, one even snarled, but they didn't attack.

Yet.

One of the Wookiees, with a feather braided into hair who seemed to be the mother, began to grumble and roar in low tones...

"Master Noble?"

Master Ike… Tell us where you are and we can come to you. He wanted to ask, instinctively, if she was in danger, but inwardly laughed at the thought, she could probably have taken on one of the Death Stars by herself. He knew she was more than capable of handling herself in most situations, but the uncertainty of her current predicament made him uneasy. Still, he couldn’t help but admire her strength and resilience, even as he worried about her safety.

He could not sense where she was exactly, it’s not that he could not center the Force and localize her aura. He could do that easily, what with the girls outside, everyone upstairs, and… well he couldn’t find her. It was as if she had vanished into thin air, leaving no trace of her presence. He knew she was skilled in stealth and evasion, but this was different..

There was that weird groan again. Tapping his comm-link, the Shadow contacted his teammates… well the ones he works with outside of today.

Connel did not have to clarify. Not with Omega Squad.

"Oh I am around." She said it as she moved. Offering him a small grin as she walked. "The temple still has good bones. SOmetimes it just has to remember what it was." She said it and stopped while a charred area of wall was in front of her. One hand coming out and then her finger extended as she scratched at it with her nail and focused the force into the wall. The force infusing with the molecules and atoms as her use of art of the small let her fix things. Flecks of black char going away as a stark white dot appeared and then a second one... a head as she moved a finger around it. With a stick thin body but its arms were framed like a flex... a single eyebrow raised and bald head. She heard the groan while offering a look at the picture. "Perfect, might have captured the true essence that was Caltin."

She was framing it with her fingers. The groan came again and she noticed it... followed it as Connel asked where she was with the chance to come to her. An offer that might be helpful in some cases. Her eyes flicking around as she followed looking at the lightside presence that went across her senses. Her vision filling as it presented warmth as most in the light did but there was more when she walked in the air to follow and not disturb. "Oh I should have brought Rossi, she would have been able to do a lot more though sometimes ocean wookiees don't agree with the mainland wookiees. Call em howlers." She snickered with that but remained in the air. "Are you feeling the light presence? It doesn't feel like something I would have made, less sugary. More like when it rains on a hot day."

Ace tensed at first, but the voice in the dark revealed itself not as a threat but as a woman who drifted into view with robes trailing just above the ground. Her presence rippled through the Force, it was bright, elusive... and hard to pin down. But she waved at him all the same. He gave her a nod in return, Tic chirped uncertainly against his back.
She spoke of Caltin as though she had known him well, called him a friend, even conjured an image of mountains and Jedi beneath twin suns. Ace had never known the man, but he felt the weight in her words, the kind of memory that lingered in a place like this.
Gavin had asked Ace how he'd been earlier. Remembering he hadn't actually answered, he turned to the gunslinger and flashed him his usual lopsided grin.
"Oh, I'm still breathing. Counts for something, right? You?"
"Master Ike" was different, she wasn't like Valery or Jax, steady presences to lean on. She slipped out of reach, more like a reflection than a light. The groan rolled again, carrying through the walls, and Tic jittered tighter, letting out a nervous warble. Ace's jaw set. He didn't need words to know Connel had heard it too.
Ace had given Master Ike a nod when she waved at him, even answered Gavin's grin a breath later. She was right there... robes brushing the air, finger dragging across scorched bark, turning black back into white like it was nothing.
Then she was moving again, brushing charred bark with her finger until black gave way to white. She even sketched a flexing stick figure and named it Caltin. The sound that escaped Ace was half a laugh, half a disbelieving exhale - he couldn't tell if she was mocking or honoring him, maybe both.
Ace proceeded to lean over to Gavin, whispering "I'm... confused."
The groan rolled again through the dark. Tic clicked tighter, tucking against his back, but Ace stayed still. When she asked if they felt it... the light presence, he let himself reach through the Force. Warmth pressed faintly through the scars of the Temple, cleansing, patient.

"This is a good place as any not to push yourself too hard."

Aris glanced back to the hangar, smiling faintly. It was part of why he was here after all, a place where he didn't have to fight and kill and the like. His gaze drifted, lingered on Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti for a moment before he looked back to Reina. This was a good place to prove he and Zaiya could still work without being distracted, right?

"So, other than the unfortunate changes we've had to go through, how's life been? Anything fun? There's got to be something fun."

Her eyes followed Aris' gaze for a moment, breaking out into a small smirk. She made no effort to comment on it however. As much as Reina was jealous when it came to feelings of the heart, she would never make a comment on it. Though she nodded at the hanger being a good place to relax, even if it was still technically an important job.

Hm...Anything fun? What was there? There was Klar...but Reina hadn't seen them in so long, and she wasn't even sure if the Codru-Ji would like her....but there was at least one thing she could talk about. She waited until she had put down the box she had before she started typing again however.

: Well. I've found my family. Or well...they've found me. Found my real name as well. Apparently I'm called Raini, not Reina. Still using Reina though. :

"Raini? Wait- your family? What do you mean your family? I didn't realize you lost them, just that there was trouble with fishing back home." Visible confusion etched it's way across Aris's expression. This wasn't information he'd been told before, that she needed to find her family anyway. If they'd been lost, why hadn't she asked for help?

Ah, maybe they weren't that close of friends. Awkward, to say the least, but he wasn't going to let that hold him back from at least becoming her friend, right?

Reina blinked for a moment. Oh yeah. She hadn't told Aris. In fact come to think of it, there was very few people she actually told about her past. It was something she had been opening up with more...but that didn't mean everyone knew about it.

: Oh. I was lost at sea as a baby. I never really cared about my family. I wasn't really looking for them but my sister had found me. I wasn't looking for them but it's nice to know them. And that they didn't just abandon me. :

She hoped it hadn't made things too awkward between the two because she had left that out. In Reina's eyes, her birth family had never really been a family to her. For Reina, the Jedi had been more of a family than anything...even if she had sometimes felt like she didn't belong with them

...yeah, he isn't really sure what's happening, anymore.

For the time being, he was merely left to stand. While he was interested in learning about the Force and what it actually
is, all of this was too much for his puny little brain to understand. Because of that, he opted to simply look around the place, thinking about where would be good places to put up some lights. If they decide to use this place, that is.

But, Acier Moonbound Acier Moonbound suddenly spoke up.

["Oh, I'm still breathing. Counts for something, right? You?"]

He looked over towards Ace, almost flashing the light right in his face. "I suppose it does. As for me, I've been fine. Doing the usual, travelin'...more travelin'...you know how it goes." Letting out a brief chuckle, afterwards.

Watching as Matsu Ike Matsu Ike drew out a white stick figure on the wall. Personally, Gavin gave it a solid eight out of ten in rating. Better than anything he could do, he was absolutely abysmal at drawing. Or any of the arts, for that matter. Though, after she said Caltin, it had rang a brief bell in his head. Heard something about a funeral service for a man with that name. He didn't go, no point in going for a man you didn't know. Certainly seems like he was loved by many, though.

Glancing as Ace leaned in.

["I'm...confused."]

"How do you think I feel?" Whispered back, though it was hard to be super quiet with the rebreather's modulator. "I ain't got anything close to a clue on what's goin' on right now..."

Though, something else grabbed his attention. He wasn't sure how he didn't notice it before, but he just now saw the small droid that Ace had on his back. Tilting his head somewhat, as he looked at the droid who certainly was not having a good time, at the moment. "New friend?" Asking Ace in regards to the droid.

MJFPLfe.png

"Oh."

That explained even more than he thought. He smiled faintly regardless. They had more similarities than he thought with that. Not how they were found, but that they were. That their family that had adopted them was very much their family. Grant it, his real family was a test tube and a droid that raised him to be as perfect as a machine could be.

"Did they come here too?"

: No. They're "normal." :

Reina scrunched her nose up at that part. It wasn't as if she was trying to insult the rebels, it's just...her parents and her sister were absolutely normal people. No Force sensitivity. No habit for causing fights. Well, her sister liked to get drunk and party but...that was about it really.

: My sister's a courier. I was stuck with her on Tatooine when Coruscant was hit and then I got captured. Safe to say I hate Tatooine. :

And that was before she had the whole mermaidness. Now? She absolutely despised it. There was a small part of her in the back of her mind that wouldn't mind the planet getting blown to bits...but then the more caring part of her would be upset over the people who lived on the planet.

Tag: Aris Noble Aris Noble

: I nearly decided to leave to live with them. But I can't. Not with what I am now. :

Reina needed to get a better understanding of what she was and what she could do before she ever thought of leaving the Jedi. It was mostly a safety net for her and the people around her. Though she nodded at the comment from Aris about her family being safe. If anything, the fact they were normal meant that in the grand scheme of things...The battle of the Dark versus the Light didn't really bother them. They cared more about weird stuff like taxes...If she had to learn how to do those instead of being a Jedi, she'd probably stay a Jedi now that she thought about it.

Valery raised a hand gently to steady Fa-Olan before stepping forward herself. Her presence softened as she approached the mother Wookiee, and she dipped her head in a respectful nod. The low rumble of Shyriiwook came strong, and she let it flow through her until the meaning formed clear in her mind.

"She wants to know who we are," Valery said to Fa-Olan, her orange eyes flicking to him before returning to the mother. "She is protecting her mate, their leader. And she is asking why it took so long for anyone to come."

Valery's voice steadied as she answered in return. "We are Jedi," she told the Wookiee, the Force bridging her words. "We came from far away to help, and we are sorry it has taken this long. But we are here now, and we won't leave until we've helped you."

For a long moment the mother grumbled, torn between distrust and hope. Then, slowly, she shifted aside, opening space for Fa-Olan to move forward. Valery turned her head slightly, offering the Padawan a small nod. "Go on. This part is yours," she said, knowing she would be of little use with a medkit compared to the eagerness of a younger Jedi.

Her attention then returned to the mother, her tone soft but probing. "Where did the Trandoshans go? Are they close?"
