Thorvalds was born to a low class family in the slums of Livien Magnus, the capital city of Ord Radama. It was at the age of six when he was discovered to be a force sensitive by an Imperial Officer tasked with keeping the scum living there contained. In the busy hours of the late afternoon that same day, a group of Imperial troops marched in what can barely be called a residence and secured valuable cargo, young Thorvalds, for transport to the Academy on Korriban. Upon the group's departure all that was left of the poorly maintained living area was broken furniture and two blasted corpses. At the time Thorvalds was too young to remember it for all those years, especially after the time spent on Korriban. Upon his arrival to the Academy, he was assigned to be trained for a Sith by a figure that is both intimidating and ridiculous at the same time. It was there where he first heard stories of the sung battlestation that brought numerous victories to the Sith; The Star Forge. Years slowly went by and Thorvalds became more and more attuned to the Dark Side. Soon enough time had come for his education to end, and he was given an advanced lightsaber and sent to the Toprawa System. He spent several more years there, where he heard more stories about the fabled Star Forge. He found the topic to be more than interesting, and dedicated himself to finding what fragments of the enormous battlestation might be left, scattered across the Galaxy.
