"This facility is a former black operations and advanced warfare equipment development and testing facility. The patient is an experiment on Dread guard physiology and how to remove persons from the Force."

At that all three doors to the current room opened.

"Warning." Came a voice over the loud speaker. "Patients 1138 through 1145 have been released. Patient 1144 is showing signs of disabling security mainframe. Mainframe contains fragments of data created to replicate systems Emah and Red Queen."

The small probe began go speak. "If those fragments travel along ASA or Techno Union holonet channels, we may be dealing with issues with the automated military."

Meaning droids with viruses.

"Why am I here? Why, I was going to kill you." Elgyn shrugged "It has been a few centuries since I had a Jedi prey." The armor Raziel wore was nothing of Jedi make or any other species he knew. It had peaked his curiosity. Too much had changed. "But threats must be eliminated and relics scurried to safety. Order must be restored."

The Sith's eyes went cold as he listened to the hovering drone. "Did that synthetic just say 'automated army'?" Elgyn had his own way of dealing with Yuuzhan Vong. However skinshifting would be a limited answer. He had been on carbonite for two long and his body had yet to fully recover. "Ready for round two?" he asked his companion waiting for the immanent attack.

Order must be restored. This was the type of person the Techno Union approved of. Order being restored meant things were organized. Life was not chaos. Not like this station.

"I must encourage you to begin preparations. Between you and the control room are mutated Force dead soldiers and a round of mad droids."

With that, the door opened. And the cries could be heard. Leading a group of scarred beings wearing lab coats was something errie. Something wet and pussing. Something carrying a heavy repeater. There would be five more of these larger soldiers. Accompanied by the remaining staff of the facility.

It begged the question. What was going on here?

Raziel answered his new companion by shouldering his grenade launcher and firing past their first opponent. There was a blue flash and further screams further down the corridor. Hopefully the cryoban grenade would slow down the second wave at least. Raziel reached out with the Force…and it did not reply.

He pushed down a wave of panic as his senses faded away from him. Force dead soldiers didn’t exude an aura of nullifications. Not normally. To any normal being, this was akin to having one’s eyesight slow fade to darkness.

Get it together! he thought to himself. He dove to one side as a repeated opened up on them. Without the Force, he had no chance of using a saber to defend himself against the torrent of blaster bolts.

He skittered across the floor unceremoniously between some lab desks. With the armor now back to adaptive camouflage it would help, but not a great deal in these close quarters. He dared not take out the lights without the Force to guide him. He slid forwards and pulled a shatter pistol from his belt, hoping to flank the beast.

Elgyn could easily tell [member="Raziel"] 's point on flanking. The sith would have normally and happily took the incentive of his companion. yet this situation was different. As the shi'ido sith began to toss off his clothing, first his wide black leather belt and than his soft-cloth tunic, he quickly passed by the dark jedi.

"Buy me a moment!" Elgyn said as he sped by Raziel, hoping he would get the message.

With a five meter corridor turn behind the Dark Jedi, Elgyn was nude aside the covering of his loinclout. His knee flesh was cut and bleeding like a child's scrape. But the Sith continued to focus on his inner flesh. His skin began to grow chitinous and his fingers grew claws. But something was wrong. His skinshifting was not as it was before he was frozen in carbonite. Some tendons and muscles had grown weak as though he had never used them. However Elgyn still kept focus as his body grew hard and the claws grew thicker on his left arm as his right hand gripped the shaft of his lightsaber.

He was limited but not weak.

Raziel stood up from behind cover, his heart racing without the Force to warn him of any impending danger. The mutated beast turned its head towards him immediately, but it would take longer to swing its great repeater around. Raziel fired a shot low, testing his aim without the Force. It glanced off the decking. Readjusting his aim he put two shots into the creature's leg. There was a great "crack" as the round shattered the thing's shin.

Unfortunately that didn't seem to bother it too much. It dropped to one knee with a grunt. The repeater was dropped to the ground, but only so that it could use one hand to pull itself back to is feet and the other to draw a second blaster. Raziel dove back into cover behind a desk and glowing bolts scythed through the air above him.

Vision was floating and watching the group. It had no weapons of its own. It had intelligence, a map, and scans of facility. Locking into the mainframe, and monitoring the process of the upload. Because otherwise, the probe was useless.

Computer virus is uploading at 33%. Four more organics from the experiment project remaining between you and the mainframe.

Raziel loaded a cartridge of the most lethal toxin he had on his person into his splinter pistol. He crawled across the deck as the blaster bolts arced over his head. A bolt passed perilously close to him, cleaving straight through the metal desk he was using for cover. The fact that the Force hadn’t warned him at all made him feel sick.

He leapt out of cover, using both hands to stabilise the pistol. At this distance the cloud of fletchette covered his target’s whole body. The shards were not enough to do any fatal damage, but hundreds of patches of blood welled up on the creature’s skin. It froze, a mask of pure agony etched on its features. A moment later and it dropped to the deck. At least his poisons had an effect, Raziel mused as he rolled back out of sight. There was just a hint of the Force returning as the creature’s life was extinguished.

Elgyn pushed forth around the corner as he watched Raziel unleash the rage of his firearm. It was clear that his body was insufficient to his species' natural shapeshifting ability. The sinuous leathery muscles of his left arm were out of proportion to the long fingered hand he had managed to form. Pressed tightly between the malformed hands were two disc like insects, Elgyn leapt over Raziel as the dark Jedi slid back to his cover. Elgyn wished that he could call on the void of the Dark Side. His muscles pounded stronger than most humanoids could. The White blade of his lightsaber tailed him as he threw the blastbugs at the forms behind the first Vong spawn. With a pivot of his feet Elgyn rolled forward behind a stack of Durasteel crates.

The Shi’ido cringed as he felt the blast bug's shock wave. He never carried more than two of them. He would be down to other Vong weapons. But if he was lucky he might find some form of Vong Shaping tool in this facility. He would need more of the creatures in the future. The Deactivated lightsaber in his hand he waited for the Jedi to act.

Raziel popped up from behind cover and leapt over the desk. His saber snapped into life silently, the mauve blade held in a reverse hand grip. His cryoban grenade had slowed down the creatures following the first, but whatever explosive his new ally had used, it seemed to have finished off some more of them. The effect that was negating the Force seemed to be cumulative. As the creatures were down his senses were returning to him. They were dulled, and tendrils escaped through the negating field to give him a sense of the world outside the bubble, but it was infinitely better than nothing.

His saber was kept close to his body as his quick feet picked a path through the lab. The tremor of the Force was enough to alert his keen senses, and a short slash cut off the path of a blaster bolt that lanced out towards him from the darkness. He rushed into the dark tunnel, nearly slipping on the iced floor from his cyroban grenade. One of the creatures was on the ground, moaning and trying to drag itself along by its remaining arm. Raziel put it down with a blaster bolt to the head.

The unit known as Vision surveyed the area, scanning the downed organics.

"There is no sign of any biological agent in the area. It appears that this possibility was not released. Through the next door is the mainframe. One more modified organic life form is attempting to upload the computer virus. We recommend that this program be ceased. The door will be opening in fifteen seconds. It will remain open for five. When the door shuts, This unit will electrify the remainder of the facility as the firewalls are down. This will eliminate all opposition aside from that in the next room."

There was a computer system in that room. At its command four autoblaster turrets, two flamethrowing turrets, two destroyer droids and at least one large mutated Force Dead Gamorrean.

Blame the Dark Side on the last one.

As the droid started to speak, Raziel had opened and examined a locked container. The “Hazardous explosives” symbol on the front had been too tempting. Inside were carefully wrapped and separated spheres, each a few centimetres across.

“Experimental micro-thermal detonators.
Single click button with ten second timer. Smaller baradium charge with thermite packing causes metre-radius thermal detonation. Found Geonosian dig site. Damaged have been transported for decommission. Working models packaged for storage and recreation.”

Great, Raziel thought. He pocketed two of the small spheres and collected three in his palm. His fingers found the small buttons and when he was five seconds from the doors opening, he clicked them all.

The doors slide open and Raziel rushed forwards. All hell broke loose. Blaster fire criss-crossed the air, and only his tenuous connection with the Force kept him alive. The pair of destroyer droids presented the greatest thread, he rolled the three spheres along the ground towards them.

The small balls rolled neatly through the destroyer’s shields, without being noticed. Three popping sounds followed. Raziel’s visor completely cut off his view a moment later, as the light from the blasts was cut out to save his eyesight. Even through the suit he felt the wave of heat.

As he rolled into cover he looked at the remains of the Destroyer droids. The thermal detonations had melted most of their lower torsos, and there was no sign of any life.

"Deal with the autoblasters!" Raziel shouted to his new ally, as he started to load an ion-pulse grenade.
