STATION LOUDSPEAKER

"Welcome, one and all to the humble birthweek celebration of The Most Benignant and Tasteful Lrungo the Hutt. It's a beautiful Zhellday to make some money, live it up, and sample all that the finest tastes in the Galaxy can afford - all here aboard the lovely, the singular, the unparalleled Lrungo's Celestial Palace! Let's all cheer, jeer, and exult, as we check our wordly concerns and weapons at the docks! Aside from those favorite customers holding a Aurum+ Lrungo's Favor Chit - you can hold onto your weapons if you have one of those, of course!"
"Now, because there is more going on than any one person - aside from The Most Seasoned and Bemused Lrungo the Hutt - to experience, it is my delight as the pit boss to point you towards areas where you might experience the impossible - more fun than you were already having. My name is Zapp Boomslang, and I have exclusive access to the station-wide PA system to make announcements like this."
"We are pleased to announce that Lrungo's Celestial Palace is now the eleventh largest Casino in the Midrim! Whether you'd like to try your hand at betting on the races, experience Holoduelers V, or simply experience the classic pleasures of cards at one of our many of our sabacc tables - the Casino will be sure to delight and amaze! Thrills at every turn, and bloodsport twice a day!"
"Once you've experienced the heart-pounding thrills of the Casino, be sure to quench your thirst - and other desires - at our premiere nightclub, Lrungo's Palms! Neon excitement, in-house music, and the occassional fight to the death; there's never a boring night in the Palms! The great love of your life - substance or otherwise - is waiting for you in Lrungo's Palms. The Security Team would like me to remind you all that the upper level of the Palms is for Aurum+ Favor Chit holders only."
"And what would a birthday party be without presents? At the top of every other hour, the Courageous and - dare I say - Provocative Lrongo the Hutt will be Auctioning off one of the many treasures from his bottomless vaults! Ships, guns, slaves, drugs and more! Perhaps obtaining one of these treasures might help you feel a touch of what it is like to be as wealthy and powerful as Lrongo himself! Even if you're broke, be sure to come by the Auctions for a look at what the finer life is like on your way to sample our complimentory airlock service!"
"But not likely. Listen up for more reports, notifications, and info from yours truly, Pit Boss Zapp Boomslang - it isn't JUST a good way to hear the news, it's absolutely compulsory for anyone without an Aurum+ Favor Chit! And remember: %99 of all gamblers quit before they win big!"
In hated everything about this place. First, it was a casino - she had a tendency to lose everything when she visited a casino, so she just didn't visit them. She hadn't had a choice this time, though. While refueling at a nearby station a couple of weeks ago, her ship had been stolen out from underneath her. She'd followed a series of similar robberies here, and found that The Dancer in Green was one of the many stolen items going up for auction. Such ships were apparently sold with the cargo and posessions still in them - part of the lure for the buyer was not knowing what a cargo vessel might contain, apparently. Security had been too tight to steal her ship back, even with Niysha's help. So they'd gone undercover. Arriving just before Sagacious Lrongo's Birthweek Celebration had meant they arrived while the Celestial Palace was scrambling to find, recruit, or conscript as many employees as possible. In had lied about her name, of course, but since arriving had learned that even that amount of care was entirely unneccessary. The security team was well-armed and populated, but almost hilariously inept at anything besides basic security thug activities and tracking who did and did not have an Aurum+ Favor Chit. Sure, they caught most weapons when smuggled onto the station. But the real dissuasion to smuggling weapons in was that the security team was likely packing twice as much heat as you, up to their ears in high-end combat steroids, and all itching to be the one who went above and beyond. It wasn't unheard of for Lrongo to bless the a security goon with an Aurum+ Favor Chit. Such a treasure was worth a century of the average guard's salary.
In wondered if she'd be granted one for pointing out any of the four bombs she'd seen planted around the station infrastructure. Maybe she could use it to buy her ship back and get the hell out of here. Maybe she could shove it down the throat of the obnoxious woman who kept abusing the loudspeaker to play at being some kind of radio starlet."
For the time being, the Pantoran woman's broad knowledge of industrial mechanics, plant care, and hyperlanes had qualified her to wear a skimpy outfit and deliver drinks to customers. In minced about the Casino floor with a tray of complimentary cocktails and designer spice to offer to customers at the tables - quietly listening into conversations and waiting for a chance to make her move. There were probably an ocean's worth of schemes, heists, and sabotage at play for this event, and if she backed the right one she might be able to escape in the chaos with her first mate and her ship.
It was as good a plan as any. Flashing her winningest smile, In approached a new-looking customer and offered a refreshment. "Welcome to the Casino! Might I have the pleasure of elevating your night in any way?"
