These are the days we won't regret (Open to all)

Mon Calamari.

One world Token always really enjoyed coming to. She loved the water. And that was really why she was here. Time to relax, get some sun, and get in the ocean, wash her cares away.

Token was taking her time getting situated in the real world again. After her trip to... wherever, she was having a bit of major panic attacks. And while Sindy was at work, even though the other woman knew where Token had gone, she made a trip out of the Fringe. Across the galaxy, really, to the area near the Tion cluster, and Levantine Sanctum. Token had lived around the galaxy during her short time here, and she knew some of the best places to sneak off to.

Sure, maybe it was far from her Fringe home, but she was also frequenting, or kept meaning to frequent in a more public fashion, the Levantine Sanctum. They seemed to be doing a lot of nice work, and while she was able to live in the Fringe without being so militant. She knew how to use the Force, but not all that well, same with a lightsaber. Exploration seemed to be more her thing.

And really, with all that was going on, Bright Star wasn't doing much.

But that was not why she was here. She was walking the floating cities of Dac, looking for a place to relax. What she really wanted to find was a nice quiet little beach-bar, with some good music, and good people. To unwind in this galactic war that was going on.

She was hiding from it, sure, she knew that. But if her friends needed her? She'd be there.

Anonymous Bar, Dac, Mon Calamari

Ceska Shattershield sat in a dark corner of an anonymous bar, nursing her drink. One look from her caused beings to steer themselves away. Her eyes glittered with cold anger, sharp like a vibroblade such as the one she had put through the heart of a smuggler. She wanted passage, and he had granted it without much barter. She should have seen his attempt to drug her and steal her credits coming.

He hadn't known that she knew about his nefarious infentions, sensing something off soon after leaving the space port. The smuggler's face was full of shock when she had plunged his own boot knife into his heart. The Rodian had thought her unconcious but she had been playing possum. His body had been dumped into the bottomless depths of Mon Calamari's oceans before she landed his cargo vessel.

A mind trick on a susceptible local and a few credits had caused the Mon Calamari official to fudge her landing in official records. She technically wasn't even here right now. Her expression was pensive as she took a pull of the whisky. So much had changed in these last twenty months, life was hardly even recognizable to her anymore.

Hmm a bar...a place of new world sins... Revelations, the people seemed outright lame, his old world flag on his back, walking to the bar he sat down, it seemed to be almosr empty except a few, most stared at him as he walked in.

of course, the flag was not significant to them so it seemed out of place. Jaykob sighed as the bartender reached him.

"What do you want?" The bartender asked.

"Nothing, just some water.... and a lighter." He said before pulling out a cigar. The man came back with a glass of water, then he lit Revelations cigar.
"New World cultures....means new world pains." He sighed.
He then puffed the smoke away.

"Where you from?" The bartender asked.

"An old city...farther off from here...." he replied.

The bartender nodded.

Ceska stepped back up to the bar and motioned for another drink. On the other side, a man sat and ordered water. She looked at him with a puzzled frown.

"If you want water, go outside. There are countless trillions of liters out there," she said curtly "This is a kriffing bar. Order a drink."

She finally found the place she was looking for. Smiling as she walked in, moving her sunglasses from her eyes and putting htem in the scoop neck of the tanktop she had, she looked around once her eyes adjusted. Seemed like a nice place. As good a place as any to sit down, have a drink and unwind. Biting her lip, she made her way over to the bar. There was someone over in the corner, all she could really gleam off of them was that they were not happy. Maybe if they spoke up, she'd approach them, but Token, in her naivete and need to think everyone was happy, just avoided those emotions for the most part.

Someone was lighting up a cigar and that gave Token a momentary craving. Sure, she smoked when she drank, who didn't? But right now? She wasn't too worried. And that was when the darker feeling perosn spoke up. Token could not help the small giggle that peeled off from her.

“The water out there though, isn't good without some spirits.” And then she faced the bartender, ordering a Whyren's on the rocks. There may come a day when Whyren's wasn't produced anymore, then she could go back to her fruit centric drinks.

Starshield turned her frown on the newcomer. This bar was fast becoming the Space Port, and the bartender looked quite pleased at the turn around in his profits tonight. Whyrens' was it, she thought, someone was a big spender. She studied the other and felt a distinct feeling. This one was Force sensitive even if she was not aware.

"Speaking of spirits, you don't like the cheap stuff." Ceska observed, attempting to suss out this potential threat. She felt for the distinctive shape of her lightsaber, just in case.

"Water makes up for what I smoke.....and people drink to forget....why would I forget my past?" The man said.

He turned his attention to the woman who had just walked in.

He then puffed his cigar one more time . He noticed the woman looked like she wanted a cigar. He reached back into his duster and took another cigar out. "Here...." He said before placing the cigar down.

Taking a sip of water he smiled, he then looked into the glass, he saw his reflection...

Traditional Echani white cloak, tunic, and belted attire. Taiden was spotless as ever, save the medical braces and walking devices he needed to get around at present, a great many injuries he was carrying and to anyone who knew body language that was easily evident. Even so, he moved with careful labored steps toward the bar, as with any of his race, each motion was a word or something communicated.

His family house had long maintained a small estate on Mon Calamari, the work of an ancestor known as Kiara Keth, her isolated trials and tribulations known only privately. So when he was in need of rest, as he was in his current condition he would come here, to this bar or one like it. The army of light’s war with the Sith behind him, and his own involvement failing miserably, house Keth’s fortunate had not risen on the homeworld, and they did not welcome him there, this was a fitting shelter.

Turning to the bar, he ordered triple distilled pure water, a trait he shared with a certain red priestess for the purity of the liquid, taken to its highest degree. Another order for water it seemed!

Receiving it, he nodded to those present in greeting, moving to a nearby table and resting. Taiden was also not short of credits, the gleaming silver Keth sword on his back said as much, only a vibroblade, adorned with various emblems and rare materials. Though wealth had dwindled in the war effort, his family had a long line of estates and properties, which he would again need to draw on soon.

Consider Taiden here for background, I don’t want to hold up your posting order.

Baring the Force, and the limited skill she did have in anything that could do any damage that wasn't sonic in nature, Token was really probably a reverse threat. More a danger to herself than anyone around her. Even if she could move her body fairly well. Just ask Sindy. Right, she was a dancer, and an entertainer, and really not a combatant. Why she was hired by Bright Star to do exploration runs and not bartend. Or dance. Not that she'd do the latter.

Most likely.

Smiling at [member="Ceska Starshield"], Token shrugged. “I'm a native of the world, so I guess, need to enjoy it while I can.” And that was exactly what she was going to do.

As for the cigar? She smiled again, because it was clearly her favorite because she might be Buddy the elf and nodded. “Once I get a few more in me, I'll light up with you, but thanks! And having a vice or two isn't bad!” Or three. Or four.

“And I never drink to forget, just drink for the fun of it!” Drinking, good people and good music, that was basically Token's holy trinity. Though she hadn't really seen much of it in way too long.

"Makes up for what you smoke?" Ceska shook her head slowly. This one was odd.

"I am not forgetting anything, simply passing a night," she growled.

What the man said hit a little closer to home than she'd care to admit. She did want to forget, forget how her Master would look on in disappointment at what she'd done and how it would hurt far worse than any injury. She watched the newcomer, an Echani it appeared, too ordered a water. She observed his careful walk of one recovering from combat injury. Unsurprising as Echani lived and breathed fighting.

Ceska turned her attention back to [member="Token Waters"] and raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"A human from Mon Calamari." She said flatly and exchanged a look with the Calamari barkeep who shrugged and went back to filling a mug of ale. "Ever been off world?"

Starshield was probing for information, trying to be discreet. That wasn't her strong point, subtlety, but she would try.

The man smiled and nodded to the woman who accepted his cigar.

"Fun is for te foolish." He said before turning to the other woman.

"Yes....for s smoking is something I am not proud of." The man said.

"That is what you say...but is it true?"

[member="Token Waters"]
[member="Ceska Starshield"]

Biting her lip, Token tried to suppress a giggle. "No, no... I'm Corellian, born and raised, not from Dac." Though, she did spend a lot of time here, after she left. It had some good surf, and Token did love a good breaking wave. Plus dancing, but for that she'd hit up Tion, or Nar Shaddaa.

Was what true? That she drank to have fun and not forget? Sure it was! There were times in Token's past, dark times, where she swore she would swear off of it. And she ended up with more regrets than she'd care to list because of those nights. Now? Things were better, they were bright and good, and fun. She ran a hand through her blonde hair.

This man was a bit of a tricky thing to get through.

"Yeah!"

Taking measured drinks of the water, he looked across the view outside. Floating atop oceans became a steadying influence, leveling you off after a long journey, on the inside he was calming, in his aura he was calming. Like all of those involved the Netherworld had taken it’s toll in fatigue on the Echani, but unlike the others there was no visible signs of it, only the signs of conflict, the signs were in his aura and keenly balanced emotions.

A pouch was removed from his tunic, containing various herbs used in healing and other medicines, a trait passed down by an ancestor Aiden Keth, in Echani terms he looked almost identical, having his face and the face of your fathers was not uncommon. Sprinkling the herbs upon the surface of the water, an aroma of cinnamon, lemon and something unidentifiable would surround his table. Partaking in his a drink, the young Echani's shoulders visibly dipped then rose, his herbal medicine beginning its effect.

Noticing a few others were smoking, Taiden raised to join them, labored steps continuing till he reached the trio, “may I borrow a light?” he said extending his curled silver pipe, whatever was in it certainly wasn’t tobacco, it smelt like a cross between sweet juniper and some bitter rim spices that were difficult to make out.

Although their appearance meant nothing to do them, and for someone who read language from motion with them stationary he could only tell so much about them, how they stood, how they exchanged body language, they seemed cordial, as was he in how he carried himself.

"Don't presume you know me." Her voice had an edge to it and her eyes were smoldering with tightly controlled anger. She turned her attention back to the woman.

"Corellian, then, that sounds right."

Her nose twitched at the scent of healing herbs and she looked over to the Echani. Citrus fruit, cinnamon, she could tell but there were other scents too. She had no training with the healers but she assumed they would know the names of the plants. The Echani himself was perfectly calm, of course, betraying nothing except through his movement. Ceska had had little contact with them so she couldn't read said motions. She took a drink and walked over.

"I'd expect an Echani with a blade, but healing herbs is something new."

Revelations looked at [member="Token Waters"] and shook his head, he then puffed his cigar.

The man grubted then turned to the other woman.

"I am not presuming anything.....history is written over everyone.....tellz a story of their life, their struggles......some people's history is tougher than others. " He camly said.

Starshield looked back to the man at the bar.

"History seems to depend on who's telling it. Lots of wiggle room, lots of 'interpretation'." She fixed him with a look as she said this. "It's best not to pry too much."

She turned back to the white haired male.

"A Corellian, a nutcase and an Echani all walk into a bar. That sounds like the start of a joke."

There was a lot going on. Token was watching, but she was paying attention to her drink. Remember kids, always watch your drink, and if you take your eyes off of it for too long, order a new one. That has been your public service announcement from Token Street. Seemed the person that wasn't really wanting to be around others was now interested in that, and being a bit... rough around the edges? Still, that was okay, some people just had bad months.

Token had a bad year once, she even joined the Sith for a fraction of a time.

Imagine that, Token all Sithly.

“Yep, born and raised, til I went off to University!” She smiled, to [member="Ceska Starshield"] about her time on her homeworld. Between the group going at each other right now and the Space-Elf, the blonde was trying to figure out what door she stepped into.

Did she go to a whole other plane again?

She really hoped not.

Right, focus.

“Oh... I don't have a light.” She bit her lip. Social smoker, this one. Sometimes.

And because she was Token, she was going to ignore the argument for now. Yep!

Taiden nodded thankfully to the lady who had answered, he had caught the notice of the bartender who offered over a light for his pipe, lighting and then offering it back. Puffing away to himself, he regarded the others around him.

Herbs and Swords, “one often times necessitates the other,” Taiden smiled to Ceska, his training at the baboa archives was extensive in both by choice. He didn’t have all that much real world experience, not until recently anyway, but that’s what his teachers were always telling him.

Conflicting the image of a sword on his back, he kept to himself as they argued and bantered. The way he stood reserved, just out of reach, there was a gentility to the young man, not because of the injuries that were evident, because of his heritage and just whose blood ran in his veins.

Puffing away as the pleasant aroma of his pipe mixed in with the surroundings, a blend that wasn’t harsh or cutting, but soothing. He was reading if they were all living around here in how they acted or interacted and moved. Someone else might have just asked, but Echani didn’t gain much from words.

“What did you study?” Breaking his silence, unable to gauge that much, people sitting down were very hard to read easily, and apart from a few he wasn’t used to non Echani, he was curious what education others got off his homeworld.
