DESCRIPTION
Thermaline Stone is a synthesised mineral created by Jynra Dusk of the Dusk Corporation. Unlike conventional conductive minerals, Thermaline has an innate ability to resonate with organic matter. It is mid to deep green in colouration, and appears to faintly glow under low light situations.

Exposure of Thermaline to carefully isolated biological samples, most commonly blood, tissue residue, or genetic extracts, imprints the mineral with a “bio-signature,” allowing it to recognize and respond to the presence of the corresponding individual. When the attuned subject approaches, the crystal subtly alters its thermal state, either warming or cooling depending on calibration.

This versatile mineral is utilised for industrial and military manufacturing applications, as well as hand crafted artisans. In military and industrial applications, Thermaline is commonly integrated into tracking beacons, and proximity mines. Artisans often set Thermaline into rings, pendants, or bracelets attuned to a loved one’s biological imprint. These items warm gently when their bonded partner is near.

Despite its versatility, Thermaline is not without risk. Improper handling during attunement can result in unstable resonance, causing unpredictable temperature surges.
