"We already made it." Alric told her, pointing to the platters on the table.

Myra had after all already helped him with the pancakes and scrambled eggs earlier. Maybe Danger was a bit too out of it as of late. He frowned for a moment and gave her a concerned glance. He wondered if maybe this was getting to her a bit too much.

It wouldn't do to have her fall apart now...not with everything happening. She was too strong for that.

"Come sit." He told her. "Relax before you have to go."

He pulled out the chair for her. "Or I'll make you."

His tone was joking of course, but there was a very real hint of concern to it. Alric worried about his wife as much as he did his daughter. If she wasn't doing well it meant inevitably he wouldn't be doing well, and now was hardly the time for that. They needed to be whole, for Myra.

" I sincerely doubt you can make me do anything there Mistah Kuhn," if he wants to have his fun at her expense, then danger would have hers as well. Even if it was just by word play. He was right, her mind was elsewhere. But that was to be expected. it was one of the reasons why danger wanted to distract her mind.

" well maybe in my old age I am going blind as well ." She said with ample humor. The scent of piping hot caf would fill the air. Curls of steam rising from the dark brew. Truth be told the woman didn't have an appetite.

"Are you going to take Mister Tuggles with you?" A change of topic. Myra had already begun to dig into her meal. Which was just fine by Danger. The medical droid went floating on by, its little hover naught but a faint hum.

"Sit." He told her, his voice a little bit more serious. "Please."

Myra looked up for a moment, but Alric gave her a smile.

"I'd like to spend a little time with my wife before I have to deal with this pain all day." He jerked a thumb towards Myra who gave him a grin, quickly returning to eating her cereal. Alric watched her for a moment and then glanced towards Danger.

"Don't think we can." He told her. "The Park doesn't allow pets I think."

Not with all those rides. That would be dangerous.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"I will," Danger assured him. She had caught the way his blue eyes had tightened in concern. He worried for her, that much was clear. "I'm just getting my caf." Some might say she liked a little caf with her sugar, but it suited her fine.

"Well there is always the gardens if you're feeling like enjoying a stroll more than the rides." Much like other stations Pharmatech and MaraTibx had contributed in development, this one was no different when it came to adding hydrophonic gardens and plenty of flora. Part of it aided in keeping the station self sustaining. From the water recycling, to the organic matter used from the fish in the pond to fertilize, and the solarium glasteel, it all came together. Dark energy harvester would just be the latest.

"Maybe that's where we can meet." Alric suggested.

It would be nice.

"You can pick up Mr. Tuggles on your way back from your meetings." The little guy wouldn't like staying inside for long, but at the very least he would be able to get out when they went to the Gardens. Plus it was sort of a tradition for them to go to such places together. "It'd be nice."

He glanced at Myra. "We could have a picnic."

The suggestion was one that Danger had always made, and he knew that she liked those sorts of things.

At the very end of things, despite being the richest woman in the galaxy Danger was still relatively simple. Smart, but simple.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

Now that was an idea. Danger was normally the one to suggest such things like a picnic in the garden. Or even a walk through one. Back on Elysium, and they would take about an hour walk up on top of the forest dome of that space station. When they moveed to the farm they were able to take small walks around The estate. Although things got a little hectic after the three had taken a tour and the picnic along the river. That was when Myra's first symptoms began to show.

That memory bloomed in her mind, and the woman smile pros for a moment. However, she was quick to play along her expression softening. As if the Tuggle knew they were discussing him being reunited with the little girl later in the afternoon, he lifted his head. Thick, bushy Whitetail begin to swing back-and-forth.

"Now I reckon that would be a fine idea. " she said with the drawl.

"Good." Alric said with a smile, glancing at Myra to find her with a face half full of pancake syrup. He looked at his daughter and simply smiled, not saying anything but instead simply shaking his head.

There was no reason to admonish her, and she'd clean herself up eventually.

The doctor had told them that the disease would sap her strength at times, that she would get cold often and sleepy very quickly. Yet their little Myra had done well so far. Generally, even before the Probe told them something was wrong Myra would alert either Alric or Danger that she wasn't feeling too good. A small tug on their clothes or a tiny nudge was enough to signal that something was wrong, and when either parents caught wind they usually handed the situation quickly.

With that in mind however, Alric always made sure to let Myra do as much on her own as she could. It was a way of building confidence for the girl, to show her that even while being sick she could still live.

"We'll do that then." He smiled at Danger. "When should your meetings end?"

They didn't need an exact time, just a window.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"Around one or two o'clock. Danger replied, the caf machine giving a few little extra spurts before it finished. She then pressed a setting that would add the amount of sugar she desired. The Queen of Trade had a tendency of enjoying it on the sweeter side.

Curling her fingers around her cup, Danger made her way over to the table. Myra had practically gobbled up almost half of her food already whereas Alric had yet to have a single bite.

"Aren't you hungry?" She inquired, hearing the distinct clicks of Mister Tuggle's claws against the polished floor. Danger set her caf cup on top of the table. Sliding into her seat, she offered a small smile to her husband.

He had waited for her to sit to actually begin eating. "Not much."

Like Danger, Alric had really lost his appetite as of late.

It was something that couldn't really be helped, their lives had been half turned upside down. He cared about his daughter a great deal, the same could be said of Danger. When they weren't feeling well, he wasn't feeling well. That was how it was. He couldn't help.

"I'll eat at the park." He gave a side glance to Myra. "Cotton candy."

Eyebrows waggled. "Fried dough."

More waggle.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

" Cotton candy ain't food, Mister Kuhn." That prompted Myra to giggle aloud, her lips sticky with syrup. Mister Tuggles padded on over to set himself down beside the little girl, his head tucked along her lap as if begging to be petted.

"You know that." she gave him a mock cluck of her tongue, a soft tsk that made the youngling gggle even more. It was good to hear Myra giggle. Good to hear her laugh. It made Danger feel as if Alric and she were doing something right. News of Alric's stepdaughter's death had come some time ago. While it had sombered Alric, Danger had done her best to support him in whatever way she could.

While they had never been close, Danger knew that Alric had tried his best to connect with Lissete. Now they were all the more protective over Myra. Calls to Rose and Lily had been made. Now they were simply trying their best to do what was right by their family.

"Fried dough is though." He grinned at her.

His hand went under the table and snaked to her knee, his palm gently resting on her leg as he gave it a light and playful squeeze.

"So I can just eat plenty of that." Alric went on. "None for Myra though of course."

The little girl immediately looked aghast, almost horrified at her fathers words. Her eyes opened up, welling with tears for a moment until Alric spoke again. "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine."

He really was a push over.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

Danger dramatically rolled her eyes at the playby play.

" But not too much, understand? The woman eyed both man and youngling with in a mock stern expression. The giggles returned. Chuckling to herself, Danger brought down her right hand and let it rest over Alric's. It was warm, the flesh riddled with scars from his pugalist days. But it was a testimony that he was here with her.

"Try to stay out of trouble. Over eating will end up with both of your bellies hurting." the reminder came along with the woman selecting a few pancakes to eat. She would at least have one before the meeting. Although to be frank, Danger was sure that aeri would provide refreshemetns and something to nibble on while they went through all the reports on the Dark Energy harvester.

His thumb slowly stroked across her skin as he used the other hand to eat his food. The process wasn't all that difficult, though more than a few times he had to wildly stab at one of the pancakes in order for it to actually stay on his fork long enough for him to bite eat into. Each time that happened Myra let out a little giggle, smiling slightly Alric gave her a face.

"We'll see." He said, though of course he'd listen to Danger.

"Won't go to the Park first anyway." He told her. "I think I want to see the hangars first."

They weren't complete yet, but they were fascinating enough. "Show Myra some of the ships!"

Myra had always liked a pretty view...well who didn't? The hangars werent' entirely completed, huge as they were, but they stared straight into a nearby nebula. The sight was something to behold, and he wanted to get a few pictures.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"Going to see the ships then?" Myra was bound to enjoy that. During the first few months the youngling had been a bit hesitant about space stations and ships. The first time they toured the Foundry had been a rather stressful affair. Only after living at Elyisum had the little girl become a little more used such large constructs. This one would be no different.

"Sounds fun. Vanir Technologies was taking point in that, with Haven Shipyards supplementing resources and materials. Green eyes met the bright blue of her husband's

"What was the largest ship that could dock again?"

Alric Kuhn

Handsome K'lor'slug

"Two thousand meters." He said taking another bite of pancake. "At the longest docking arm."

That was more than enough to fit pretty much every ship in the Alliance fleet.

"Most of them are only sixteen hundred though." Alric said as he chewed, Myra giving him a dirty look because she'd just been told yesterday that it was rude to chew with ones mouth open. Alric looked at his daughter for a moment and then stuck out his tongue.

He was an adult, he could do what he wanted.

"Nothings there right now though." No Star Destroyers. "Just a few freighters."

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"You are a bad influence, Mistah Kuhn" Danger would tease the former Titan with another click of her tongue. She was joking of course, only teasing them both. Myra gave another giggle, shaking her head from side to side as if to suggest there was no way that her adoptive father could be a bad influence.

" Are you taking his side missy?" Danger would ask, gesturing with her fork in a teasing manner to the little girl. Myra gave an eager nod, hiding her lower face behind her hands.

"[coloorange]tsk tsk[/color]". It was light banter between them all. Something to do before she went to her meeting. "Better be careful, I'll remember that!".

He smirked at Danger. There was no doubt that between the two of them Danger was far more strict, though Alric took on the role when necessary. That was due to how Danger was raised. She was taught control and patience, while Alric...well Alric was left running free. It was his sisters that had raised him for the most part, not his mother or father.

That sort of freedom ran straight into his parenting style. "Don't worry, I'll protect you."

He told Myra with a wink.

"She's smaller than me." He pointed out. "I can just lock her away for a day."

Alric glanced at his wife, give her a light smile that would give the words an entirely different meaning.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"Uh huh, and who was the one who managed to save your life out in the desert? " Danger was quick to toss back. Now there was a bit more natural warmth to her smile.

Taking a sip of her caf, Danger continued, "Don't let him lie to you, Myra." she added, leaning close over the table towards the little girl.

"I can still beat him up." now it was she who gave the youngling a mischevious wink.

At that moment her datapad gave a small beep. It was an incoming message. Setting her cup of caf down, Danger brought up her datapad. More reports and an update.

"Who would have thought we'd be able to do this..." she murmured lwo.

"Pssssssh." Alric said.

"She's just trying to make herself look better." He told his daughter. "I can toss her over my shoulders as easily as Mr. Tuggles."

The Tuggle picked up his head and looked at Alric at the mention of his name, eyes narrowing.

He gave the creature a quick smile, then returned his attention back to Danger. Typical of her she was already back to doing work, though in truth he couldn't blame her. The device that Mara was building was truly incredible. He was a bit jealous that Vanir hadn't come up with it first. The idea of it was simply fascinating, and the concept? That much power at a near limitless rate? It would be the greatest boon the galaxy could ever hope for.

Of course the prototype was nowhere near that, as Danger had told him, but still.

"Alright honey. Since mommy is going to work...I think we can leave her to do the dishes while we get the day started." He gave Danger a smirk, though of course they had a droid to do the dishes for them.

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

"That wasn't what Lily or Rose said!" Danger added with another rapid-fire quip. At last until the last suggestion that had Myra giggling deviously registered.

Bright green eyes surveyed the two over her datapad, her lips pursing in mock affront.

"Excuse me?" Myra giggles some more.

"Dishes? You expect me to do dishes!!?" her voice rose to a silly octave, prompting Mister Tuggle's head to rising and his tail to wag again, expression hopeful that he just might get fed again.

"That wasn't what we agreed to!" she exclaimed, setting her datapad down. While the Dark Energy Harvester barely dipped its toes into converting it into quintessence, it was still a moderate amount just on par of the standard hypermater reactor. More research and development would have to go to increase production for now.
