Dune Sea, Tatooine

As the twin suns moved across the sky in their eternal arc, on their way to retirement for the night, the desolate sands of the Dune Sea were almost empty. Tatooine had seen much over its history, with many of the galaxy's greatest heroes and villains originating from its sandy surface, even if it was course and irritating. The cloaked woman observing the sands from the shelter of a cave was not one such figure.

Several years ago, she had come to this cave a younger, angrier, and naïve girl, and had come out a student of the Dark Side. Now, she returned to it, in an effort to find the one that had changed her, the one that had turned her onto the path of Darkness.
Unfortunately, that person was not here.

She had searched the entire cave, inch by inch, and there was no trace of her quarry. Sighing, she had taken residence in the place, for now. She wasn't exactly sure how long she had been here, now. She got water from a natural spring in the back of the cave, and feasted on rations she had brought with her and the wamprats that made this cave their home. In this hole in the sand, she studied herself, searching deep within the soul that inhabited her scarred and battered body.

A few times, scavengers had tried entering her cave. A flash of her tri-bladed light saber was usually enough to scare them away, but violence had erupted more than once. It never ended well for the scavengers when it came to that. Unknown to her, a group of scavengers had pooled all of their collective resources to put a rather large bounty on her head. Rumor had it that a Sith Lord once inhabited that cave, and the scavengers wanted whatever they had left in it.

Even if she had known, she would not have cared. While she did not delight in violence as she once did, she was certainly no stranger to it, and would not hesitate to defend herself and her new home. Even against the ones she had once called family.
