  • Accessibility: The club itself and its many common areas are easily accessible to the public, as the club is built on a well-used street and canal of Abregado-rae Spaceport. The seedier aspects of the club are designed for paying members only and well guarded from prying eyes.
  • Description: A swanky canal-side nightclub located between the spaceport and the historic Old Patch quarter of the city that serves as a den of entertainment and refreshment. The club covers a broad range of potential clients, locals and spacers, rich and poor, public and private enterprise, as well as providing a wide range of services ranging in legality.
POINTS OF INTEREST

  • The Foyer: Offering both convenient street and canal-side access, the foyer of the Venturer's Club is a spacious and ostentatiously decorated front room featuring a fully-stocked central bar and kitchenette from which to order refreshments. The bar opens up to both the foyer and the cabaret floor for customer convenience and features two hand-carved statuettes of Neimoidian Pylats.
  • The Cabaret Floor: The first floor is devoted largely to a large performing stage at the back of the club which hosts all manner of live entertainment for clubgoers. Occassionally, the central tables will be cleared to create a makeshift dancefloor for the patrons for special events and performances. The large, open central hall of the club also offers those on the upper floors a view of the stage.
  • The Gambling Hall: The second floor is devoted to more private forms of entertainment in the form of gambling tables, ranging from sabaac, to dejarik, to billiards. Food and drink can be brought from either the first or third floor bars, and a smoking lounge is also provided.
  • The Top-Shelf Bar: A nickname given to small third floor area of the club which features its own, separate bar and kitchenette area. The Top-Shelf offers a degree of free privacy to those patrons who cannot afford the private members-only lounges on the first floor.
  • The Roof: Available via club membership (and bribery), the rooftop offers excellent views of the historic Old Patch of Abregado-rae Spaceport, the charming local canals, and the distant ports of the city, both space and nautical.
  • The Private Lounges: Located on the first floor, this special VIP section is available only via reservation to paying members of the club and provides a location for private parties and business arrangements, as well as less socially accepted forms of entertainment. The lounge area itself can be walled off from the rest of the club for privacy and each individual lounge room offers a variety of security measures to ensure patrons are not disturbed or spied on. At least, not by anyone who isn't on the staff...
  • The Backroom: The private office of __ is located directly at the back of the lounge area and is the most private, well-guarded location in the entire club. This literal smoke-filled backroom allows __ to meet her patrons in total confidence and manage the comings and goings of the club. In addition to being lavishly appointed and well stocked, it also features a concealed passage to the cellar behind a large portrait.
  • The Cellar: Officially the cellar is primarily a place for storage, housing the reserves of refreshments and food for the upstairs club as well as other supplies needed in the day-to-day running of the club. Unofficially, it also features a hidden two-way tunnel that runs under the canals and toward a private hangar in the local spaceport, which serves as both an inlet for contraband and a potential escape route.

SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Normal civilian structures have a different scope in security, compared to military bases. As such a civilian structure with a Maximum security rating is not on the same level as a military base with a Maximum rating. A civilian structure with a Maximum rating could be the seat of a planetary government, or the headquarters of an inter-galactic corporation. Private security, alarms, perhaps even a defensive shield, but they should not have entire armies within or enough armament to destroy a fleet above. HISTORY
Thog was born to the Oltu herd on the Ithorian homeworld of Ithor, or rather above it on one of the many herdships orbiting the planet. The Oltu family had a tradition as conservationists specializing in the many rare and exotic animals of the jungle. Thog took to the work well, but not the philosophy, and after growing bored in his role took to helping poachers instead of stopping them. After being found out, Thog went on the run as a freelance big game hunter, ironically using the skills he developed as a conservationist.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Cutt Prel is, above all else, a creature of numbers; cost-to-benefit, fuel-to-distance, range-to-target, he's always looking to calculate the best possible odds to come out on top. This makes him equal parts intelligent and pragmatic as well as ambitious and avaricious, always on the hunt for the next business opportunity or looking to create one for himself. These tendencies often extend to how he treats others, as either business assets or liabilities.

At the same time, Cutt's worst impulses of greed are kept in check by his worst impulses of cowardice. He is deeply aware that he is not a fighter, prefering to fast-talk, fly, or draw his way out of bad situations and avoiding direct conflict at all cost. Still, despite his grasping and sniveling, he possesses a brilliant, unorthodox and can be quite bold (in his own way) as long as enough credits are on the line.

HISTORY
Cutt Prel was born to the Prel hive, a family of ambitious up-and-comers on one of the many purse-world colonies of Cato Neimoidia. Cutt grew up, as most Neimoidian grubs do, fighting relentlessly with his horde of grub relatives for scraps of food in a communal hive. What separated Cutt from his relatives even at a young age was hs curiosity and ambition, often going after feeding tubes directly and trying to leap from the hive to find other food sources.

By the time he had developed into a full Neimoidian, Cutt had developed a typical head for calculation and risk assessment, with a rather uncharacteristic knack for unorthodox thinking. For a while this made him a great asset to the Prel family, as he saw opportunities where others did not, but in the cutthroat world of Neimoidian politics it only takes a few slip ups to bring a great house low, and the Prel's had more than their share.

Rather than sink back into obscurity with the rest of his hive, however, young Cutt would take what credits he could pry loose from his family and set himself up as a freelance pilot. The ambitious Neimoidian took his financial future into his own hands flying passengers, cargo, contraband, soon finding success as a smuggler and eventually making his way into the employ of the Hutts.

Being a smuggler Cutt is first and foremost an expert in flying and maintaining starships, specifically freighters and shuttles.

Priga is a short, athletic young Quarren woman, almost bordering on wiry, with pale orange skin

STRENGTHS
  • Quarren Physiology: As a Quarren, Priga can breath air and fresh or salt water, is a naturally skilled swimmer, and can spit a thick, viscous ink from her mouth.
  • Starship Savant: Priga is an expert on all things starship, not just flying and navigating, but building, maintaining, and modifying them as well.
  • Quick-on-the-Draw Priga is a fast thinker, a fast talker, a fast pilot, and if it comes down to violence, a fast draw on the blaster.

WEAKNESSES
  • Sensitive Skin: Priga's skin is sensitive to extreme heat and dryness and can be damaged without regular exposure to water or to moisture-retaining substances.
  • Run Away!: Priga is not a professional fighter, in our out of a ship, so her first and best response to a direct fight is to turn tentacles and run.
  • What a Scoundrel: Priga is a lying, cheating, credit-grubbing scoundrel at heart

HISTORY
Priga was born on the water world of Lamaredd to her single mother who worked as a mechanic and shipbreaker at the local spaceport (while maintaining a sideline as a chop-shop). Priga grew up around starships from a young age and got into the family business as soon as she could hold a spanner, but her real dream was always to fly the ships she worked on. She would spend her free time between jobs pestering pilots and snooping on smugglers to learn everything she could about flying a starship.

SKILLS AND POWERS
If there is one thing Priga knows, its starships. She's a self-taught expert in the arts of flying, navigating, and maintaining starships, as well as other vehicles and similar devices like droids. She custom-built her own freighter practically from scratch and has been working in and around starships since she was a squidling. Outside of ships, Priga has proven to be a dab-hand at the classic smuggler arts of lying, cheating, and dodging consequences (usually blaster fire) and can usually give as good as she gets. She's also quite the smooth talker (in her own way) and is fluent(-ish) in multiple languages including Basic, Huttese, Bocce, Sy Bisti, Quarrenese, and Mon Calamarian. She can also understand Binary and knows at least one swear word in most galactic languages.

  • Social Chameleon: Nalah isn't just beautiful, she knows how to present herself and speak to others to give them whatever impression she needs to succeed in her latest con.
  • Jill of All Trades...: Nalah has had her hands in so many rackets that she's picked up skills in everything from blaster-slinging, to starship piloting, to even art appraisal.
  • Streetwise and Sharpwitted: Having climbed her way out of the gutter on Nar Shadda, Nalah combines the best elements of both a resourceful street criminal and a suave aristocrat.

WEAKNESSES
  • Zygerrian Hangups: Zygerrians have a reputation for being ruthless slavers, and despite her hatred for Zygerria's biggest industry, just being Zygerrian has gotten Nalah in trouble in the past.
  • ...Mistress of None: Nalah has learned just enough about flying, fighting, and other topics to make her operations work and this means she can be easily outshone by a specialist.
  • Compulsive Behavior: Lying, gambling, flying, smoking, loving, Nalah is drawn to risky ventures and will often double down on a bad situation rather than walk away.

HISTORY
Nalah never likes to talk about her past, she prefers to spread a range of outrageous lies that suit her needs than admit to the ugly truth, that she was born in the slums of Nar Shadda to a low-level guard in a slaving ring and a dancing girl. Needless to say, this did not make for the happiest or healthiest childhood, and Nalah was quick to flee home only to end up bouncing between clubs and casinos doing less-than-savory jobs. It was barely a step up from her home life, but in those dingy halls and smoky backrooms Nalah learned the skills that would help her claw her way up from the gutter.

She learned how to speak to others, and more importantly, how to listen. Distracted clients made for easy marks to con or rob, and chatty customers unwittingly taught her the ins and outs of the galactic underworld. Credits earned from these little ventures helped Nalah buy her way up out of the skids and into the high life, where she began to reinvent herself as a dazzling scoundrel. From there she would swindle her way into a starship and leave Nar Shadda, and a lot of bewildered marks, behind as she officially takes her criminal career galaxy-wide.
