XUTURI
SUMMARY
The Xuturi are a sanctioned order of Force-wielders who use their unique talents to serve the Commonwealth. Unlike the Jedi or Sith, the Xuturi do not view the Force as a spectrum of light and dark. Instead, the Xutiarad, the guiding philosophy of the Xuturi, preaches that the Force is an aspect of the soul deeply intertwined with the physical universe.SUMMARY
Young children who are found to be Force-sensitive are brought the closest Xuturi academy, where they are taught how to control their latent power. The newly minted disciples are then encouraged to pursue a Path, a lifelong journey involving a specialization in one of the Force’s many aspects. The Paths themselves are divided into two major categories: the Material Paths and the Spirit Paths.
LIST OF PATHS
MATERIAL PATHS
MATERIAL PATHS
- Path of Fire: The Path of Fire seeks the bold, adventurous, and fierce. Disciples learn to harness fire and flames as tools of both creation and destruction.
- Path of Water: The Path of Water favors tolerance, respect, and an active imagination. Disciples learn to draw upon ponds, lakes, and oceans, transforming pools of water into nearly any shape imaginable.
- Path of Earth: The Path of Earth settles upon the patient, grounded, and rational. Disciples learn to mold dirt and rocks into structures, weapons, tools, or barriers to be used for the good of society.
- Path of Life: The Path of Life embraces those who seek to nurture, grow, and discover. Disciples learn to understand the animals and plants of the galaxy.
SPIRIT PATHS
- Path of Body: Disciples of Path of Body seek total mastery over their physical forms. Their limbs are both their greatest tools and their most formidable weapons, and skilled practitioners remain at the peak of physical fitness well into their elderly years.
- Path of Soul: Disciples of the Path of Soul meditate on the nature of the Force within them and within others. Masters of the Path can manipulate the emotions and even the actions of others through subtle tugs on the invisible pulse of the Force flowing through all living beings.
RANKS
- Disciple: The youngest of the Xuturi are known as Disciples from their induction into the Xuturi academies until they select a Path to pursue, usually as a young adult. Prior to choosing their final Path, disciples can explore any number of Paths under the guidance of Masters and High Adepts.
- Adept: Adepts are Disciples who have chosen a Path to pursue for life. Adepts are the most numerous of the Xuturi and also the most diverse, including both the very young and the very old.
- High Adept: Older or more accomplished Adepts are afforded greater respect as a High Adept and often serve as teachers for Disciples as well as younger Adepts.
- Master: Masters are Adepts who have shown excellence in the pursuit of their Path and have been raised to their rank by the agreement of the Council of High Masters. Masters are among the most powerful Force-wielders of the Xuturi, having spent many years perfecting their Path.
- High Master: The greatest of the Masters are selected by the Council of High Masters to join their ranks. There are six High Masters at all times, one for each Path. High Masters hold their position for life, and new High Masters are only selected after the death of their predecessor. Deeply attuned to the Force, High Masters rival even Jedi Masters and Sith Lords in their abilities.
COUNCIL OF HIGH MASTERS
The Council of High Masters is the ruling body of the Xuturi, overseeing its numerous academies and reporting directly to the Prime Minister of Caragach. Each High Master has equal authority in the Council, and nearly all major decisions are decided upon by all six High Masters. The Council is headquartered at the Six-Point Academy, a sprawling Xuturi temple in the Commonwealth’s capital of Gaci.
