Of every response that she had momentarily pictured to her wild tactics, this was not one of them. But it was too late to stop now. So, she kept running and screaming until her throat was raw and her voice hoarse. Yet she watched as her opponent charged in return. Armed with a sword and not much more experienced than she was. He ducked and swung at her legs.

Alana jumped, pushing off with all the momentum of her run so that his sword swung beneath her legs. And as she passed over, she kicked out at his face with one booted foot. With her hands, she pivoted the lightsaber to try and bisect his blade. She landed and the impact sent a jolt through her legs as she spun around. Her blade, she pulled back close to her body. Its plasma hummed in her hands as she watched what this man would try next.

As she flew over his blade a thick boot slammed against his skull, sending him to the ground. An involuntary groan forced its way from his lungs. As he lightsaber sailed towards the sword he quickly wrenched it from the saber's path, yet still a glowing notch of melted metal was carved from the edge of the blade. Pushing to a rise Vice rubbed his face, the fingers tracing the very imprints of the treading and heel overcome with budding enmity. The first blow of the fight and already his emotions began to simmer, a small ember igniting more of the available kindling.

After a moment of recovery the swordsman bore upon Sunrider once again, flourishing his blade with inefficient motions before attempting to drive the point of his blade through her guard, a feign as he began to pivot on his left leg, bring around a fist to strike the initiate's own head.

The moment anything other then the cults fleet moved it burst into a flurry of action, no tactic was used other than simply blindly rushing towards the enemy firing . So many different types of weapons were fried from Ion, energy, missile's many of which would fail to connect with anything due to being out of range and running out of fuel or burning out. The largest ships fired just as wildly even hitting their own fighters.

Although she wouldn't be able to see it, Mereel flashed Seo a small smile when she answered his question with his alias and grabbed his hand. As he let her lead him back through the spaceport by the hand, he began blinking through his HUD, looking for relevant city map data that he had gathered from spaceport terminals shortly after landing on the planet.

When they got outside of the spaceport terminal, he was already looking at a mapped walking path for them on his HUD, Of course I know where it is, I'm a natural pathfinder."

###
Mereel's shoulders tensed up as soon as the Academy grounds came into view. Familiar armor suits had made an entrance at the Tula Aspire Academy, and it made his blood run cold.

"Looks like the local security forces have resorted to outsourcing.. Might be best if you take the lead here, the less presence I have when dealing with Mandalorians, the better. If anyone asks, my name's Ordo Fett." He muttered to Seo. It had been decades since his clan had been exiled, but there was a chance that one of the Mandalorians here was the son or daughter of a Mando wronged by Detrik pre-exile.

He let go of Seo's hand to ensure that both of his hands were brushing close to his hips - one hand close to his KC-95 pistol, the other close to his lightsaber, as they made their way toward a gathering of Mandalorians and non-beskar-toting persons, one of the latter holding a lightsaber and, peculiarly, a dark cloak.

It was putting her on the spot to be sure, but he slowed his walk to let Seo take the lead for the duo's introduction.

Alana stumbled as she landed and spun back around again, holding the glowing blade across her body to deflect any more strikes. Her opponent lunged forward and attempting to stab her. She stepped aside from the blade, but it took her focus away, and his fist collided with her temple. Alana stumbled back a step and swung her lightsaber up to force his sword away from her momentary disarray.

She didn't want another punch to her head. Her ears were ringing and stars flashed in the corners of her eyes. Throbbing spread through her head from the impact. She needed to disarm him. With that, the lightsaber would ensure that the advantage would rest strongly in her favor. But first, to cripple the his weapon.

Alana stepped forward with a series of quick cuts, all aimed at the sword.

The initiate swiped his blade too and fro before plasma met steel, melting right through it. The once bulky weapon was now reduced to a sharp piece of metal, the fresh edge bubbling with molten metal. Dropping it to the wayside, the sword hissing upon the snow and ice, his rage grew with the steam that rose.

No longer suppressing his emotions Vice let them explode forth. The edges of his sight began to darken as he attempted once more to drop low, bending his knees as he shifted forward, before springing off of them in an attempt slam fist into the woman's gut, placing his whole momentum and weight behind it. The cloaked figure howled in anger.

With how the relationship between Mereel and Seo had changed and grown since they initially met, he should be able to read her better now. This was probably a good thing because she slipped into the attitude of the day the met before they had moved too far. That day, they had investigated a kidnapping and worked together to solve that. After that, they had slowly gotten to know each other, had another adventure or three. Each one had lead them closer.

An attitude of a hardened investigator that had been around the block a few times. It was true, she had done single murder investigations, the finding of lost objects and even people. Nothing quite on the scale of what was in front of her though. Thankfully they weren't going to be doing this alone it seemed and others outside of the authorities were present.

Before they had taken more than a few steps away from the spaceport, Seo could tell Mereel's stance changed. It was similar to her own change, but caused by a different reason entirely. He let go of her hand and tensed up at the sight of a pack of Mandalorians. Knowing of his past to an extent, she hoped this exchange was going to go well...

"Does this mean I am now Mrs. Ordo Fett?"

Since they had yet to join or be approached by any of them, the question would only be heard by him. He lead them in the direction of a small group and that was also approached by another investigator that introduced himself. Getting the sensation Mereel was reluctant to speak first, Seo did take the lead. Looking at Giddean and giving him a small nod, she shook her head in answer to his question.

"We have only just arrived here and lack enough details to make any theories. Seo Linn."

She included no titles nor introduced Mereel, when the timing was right, she would do the latter.

He was furious. Alana could tell as he howled and threw aside the blade. That was good, wasn't it? It would throw off his focus and discipline. At least, that's what it was supposed to do what she had learned to do on Ambria fighting over scavenged scrap. Anger made people reckless and more likely to make mistakes. She shifted her stance, with one foot back behind the other, and the lightsaber held diagonally across her torso.

Then he dove at her, fist extended, springing from the ground. That wasn't something she had ever seen someone try in a fight. Alana pivoted to the right on her back foot, so that his fist slid past her torso, but she was still caught by the rest of his body in the spring. She stumbled sideways, but even as she did, she snapped her blade downwards with a flick of her wrist, trying to catch her opponent's arm with the blade.

Literally disarming him further, if the blade struck true.

As the humming blade sliced through frosted air Vice shifted to the left, pushing off with his right leg to avoid it. Lucky enough to avoid a dismembered arm, the blade sizzled and seared flesh, igniting the sleeve of his robe. The momentum and force of his dodge causing him to stumble and roll in the snow and ice. He was slow to rise.

A large red streak of bubbling and blistered muscle and flesh, visible through a hole in his cloak, seemingly caused him to roar in pain. The arm's mobility was nothing compared to what it was just moments before. The first of what might come to be many more battle scars, if he does not embrace death here.

Agony and pain, simple fuels for the dark side but effective as any other, coursed through his body. Predatory eyes locked upon his quarry and slowly did self-concern melt away.

Once more he dove back towards [member="Alana Sunrider"], this time attempting to keep to opposite side of her lightsaber so that she might need to change hands or rotate further to swing the blade effectively at the initiate. Making a two-finger point he began to channel the dark side into his hand before driving it like a spear point at her side.

A raw use of the force, a testament to his inexperience and lack of control.

“Beviin.” Mand’alor tilted her wolf-helm to Vyr, her HUD blinking up with the signatures of all his clansmen and troops come to secure the area. While the Mandalorians had no sovereignty in these lands, the similitude to the Obroa-Skai event brought with it a commonality of purpose. Jules’ badge was scanned without Yasha having to move, another illusion of stillness in the Infernal.

[member="Giddean Kuat"] rumbled up dragging a Cultist’s ragged body behind him, skid marks running the length of his travels in the snow. Bending on her haunches to examine the corpse, Yasha didn’t have to look far.

“It is a member of the Naphtali Erisi, Jetii Sentinel. You can tell by the markings on their necks, here… and here. They also have a tendency to drain their victims’ blood to be used in rituals… we know not what else.” The Infernal’s HUD scanned the oncoming duo of Mereel and Seo.

A Mandalorian with armour she didn’t recognize? He mustn’t have been one of hers. While Yasha knew well the hurt and harm done by the previous regime, she also knew that repairing all wounds was impossible to accomplish. Yet, all who asked it of the Empire received Cin Vhetin, Virgin Snow.

A fresh slate and new beginning. The sins of the past were done. Finished. Only through the unity of camaraderie and reconstruction could the Mandalorian culture and people be strong enough to survive the continued assaults of aruetiise and the Galaxy at large.

“Is this the first Naphtali Erisi event in Arkania to date? They have plagued us for some time, but my intel leads me to believe they have been holed up on Arkania some time before your Republic desired your move. Did they leave a message of any kind? A mandala, perhaps? Or Puzzle?”
