White Spire, also known as The Fortress, is the name of a massive, polished white structure hidden in the mountains on the world of Feenix in the Feenix System. Situated at some distance from the nearest settlements or cities, the ancient fortress oversees a series of terraced farms and smaller hamlets that provide much of the foodstuffs required by the Templar Order. The structure was intended to be capable of self sufficiency, and was not intended to be reliant upon other settlements or cities.

Located at the top of the towering, central column that gives the fortress its name, is the Grand Convocation Chamber. A large room that in a way resembles the Jedi Council Chambers at the top of the Coruscant Temple. It is within this massive chamber that the Knight-Vigilant and a council of Senior Knight-Commanders meet and carefully guide the Templar Order in its continued mission to bring order to the galaxy and to destroy the Sith and Jedi Orders.

Deep within the White Spire is an ancient vault, which within is held those relics and artifacts that the Templar Order have deemed to dangerous to be permitted to remain in the galaxy. From here the Keepers of the Order watch over these artifacts, learning all they can from these dangerous devices, while also researching and locating other such items that need to be hidden away. The vault itself is designed in a such a way as to ensure that if it is buried, it shall remain such; serving as a tomb to what is locked within its countless chambers.

The Hall of Recognition, a gallery that sits at the far end of the Temple, is viewed as the most important and most highly regarded place throughout the Temple. This hall, reclaimed from the dust and cobwebs of history, serves as a place of remembrance and holds busts of those members that gave themselves to the Order fully. It is within this hall that the names and accolades of the Templar Orders members are held and within this chamber the initiates of the Order are brought and read the names of those that came before them as a reminder of the Order's mission.

The Upper and Lower Courtyard are separated by a massive stair case of gleaming white steps. The Lower Courtyard contains housing for the members of the Order, as well as training facilities, guard houses and armories. The Upper Courtyard is a place of serenity, a massive garden with glistening fountains and fonts. It is a place for members of the Order to reflect upon their duty, and up the lives of their fallen brothers and sisters.

History:

An ancient fortress built for an eon in which ancient armies clashed blade upon blade. The Fortress, then nothing more than a small structure built at the foot of a mountain, was used as a minor outpost. In time, as politics shifted and the very geopolitical structure changed, it became the center of a vast, ancient kingdom. The Fortress was slowly constructed around the small outpost over the proceeding reigns of various monarchs and despots. In time it would become known as the home of a folk hero, constructed of marble, polished as to ensure it gleamed in the sun and was marked as a beacon for the people.

Over the years, as technology changed, and the people either left, or died off, the fortress remained; stalwart and defiant in the face of time and the elements. As the passage of time continued, and new beings came to settle upon the world, the fortress was left forgotten in the mountains save for by those that often found it as shelter when lost in a storm. Though the fanciful tales of a lost city was often disregarded as nothing more than the ravings of madmen. Every now and then though, individuals would take up to living in the ancient fortress.

As the galaxy continued to fall into conflict throughout the years, the remote location of the world saw that it was left untouched. The Mandalorians never came to grace the surface of the world and lay claim to the Fortress. Neither did the Republic, Confederacy, or even the Galactic Empire come to find the ancient fortress. As the Vong tore through the Galaxy, the white stones remained untouched and left forgotten.

The fortress may have been left untouched had it not been discovered by those that came to claim the world from pirates and slavers that infested the world. The Templar Order lain claim to the Fortress, turning it into their home, and seeing it as a gift and reasoned it as a sign that their mission was just.

Intent:

Provide the Templar Order with a unique location with which to call home. Much like the Sith Temples and Jedi Temples, the White Spire is meant to be a place for the members of the Templar Order to come together and strike out as they carry out their mission to bring Order to a galaxy overwhelmed by Chaos.

Hi [member="Amelia Sorenn"]

This is a very well thought out submission just two issues :

  1. Does the Citadel have defences beyond manned walls?
  2. Can I have a list of the major artifacts in the vault?

The White Spire is much as the Jedi Templar on Coruscant was, with no major defenses (i.e. Turbolaser Turrets, Anti-Infantry, etc etc).

Currently there are no major artifacts / relics in the vault. When there are, they will be included [Here] after the proper submissions have been approved.
