"Well, you're just going to have to trust me," The Hunter said, replying to the individuals who had responded over the open channel.
"So long as you're not Sith, you're not who we're after."
Below, the Sith was beginning to feel the strain; and no sooner had the Hunter considered taking the weapon use up a notch, than the cloaked figure dived into a building for protection. But, Sidon winced as the building exploded, the turret that were designed for ship hulls tearing through its structure, so it was no surprise that a small construction would be decimated by the power. Calling a stop to the pilot, the ship angled around and hovered over the smoldering ruin of the building, scanners active and searching for signs of life. Nothing came up, no indication that the Sith warrior had survived after leaping inside. That was a shame, really, considering Sidon had wanted to find out who it was that had proven such a tough opponent...
"Take us down, Vena," Sidon said through the comm, leaving the heavy repeater blaster in place, as he walked down the ramp.
"I want to sift through here, see if we can make sure."
"Copy that," Came the reply, as the ship lowered. "I'll maintain repulsors for a quick getaway, just in case."
Landing on the ground with a thump, Sidon narrowed his eyes as he walked toward the smoking debris. Flames, rocks, duracrete and other building materials littered the area. So did numerous dead corpses, which had been flash-frozen with the fog before hand. It was a shame so many had to die, and absently the Hunter hoped some had survived. Still, he had a job to do, and with surprising strength Sidon began moving large pieces of rock and debris, searching. In the meantime, the Hunter's scout droid began searching the area, the flat disk of its body floating around the nearby area. After some time, and no real progress, Sidon called an end to the search. The sheer damage was evident, and the body was likely crushed, disintegrated or otherwise unrecognizable...
And good riddance, Sidon thought, sneering. Such a foul act on an innocent people.
The droid returned, beeping, as he cradled a lightsaber in its mechanical arm. It brought the weapon back to Sidon, who reached out to grab it with a gloved hand. At least something had come of the fight, he supposed, despite the fact he really wanted to make sure the Sith had perished. But, with a building still aflame and smoking in his wake, Sidon figured it was safe to call it.
"Fett, I saw you captured yours, nice work," Sidon said over the comm, looking across the field to the other Hunter.
"Want to get out of here?"
Glancing to the other individuals not far away, the Hunter shrugged. The pair had come to do what they were contracted to do, and hopefully they were able to provide some assistance to anyone in the area that survived the Sith's use of the Force... because it wasn't Sidon's concern, he had his job and he now had the proof he needed of completing it. The Sith's lightsaber. Boarding the ramp with a jump, Sidon walked slowly up and pushed the button at the top, raising it in his wake.
"Good luck, whoever you are," Sidon said over the open comm.
"I don't think that Sith will be back anytime soon. Condolences to the people of the village."
And with that, Sidon ordered the pilot to take the ship away from the scene, to meet up with Koda in orbit and to leave...
