The Hellfire is Alterra's response to the galaxy's more modern period of shortened rifles, and carbines. It utilises the magnetic propulsion firing mechanism of a Verpine Shatter Gun, making it almost completely silent, aswell as giving it very high stopping power. It's rate of fire is notably average, though just below the mark that would push it into a high rate of fire rating. It fires 5.56x45mm bullets at an average range. The most notable quality of the Hellfire is that it is extremely average in almost all areas except the most notable.
The Hellfire's averageness is it's most notable, though often overlooked, strength. It is applicable in almost every situation. It's not too limited in how far a bullet can travel to achieve maximum result, nor does it fire as slow as most of the galaxy's slugthrowers. It's reload speed is almost entirely reliant on the wielder, as that too is almost painfully average, for the main part being just slamming a mag in. These are the qualities that make it most applicable as the primary weapon for the Confederate Viceguard, because when in all doubt, they can rely on it to get the job done.
