Name: The Vault

Classification: The Vault is a technological facility and settlement reorganised in Vega's image, soon intended to be designed for black market trading.

Location: Constructed on a rogue moon in the Unknown Region of the galaxy. Closest planet, Zakuul

Affiliation: Under Vega's control until otherwise invaded or sold.

DESCRIPTION: The Vault is a technological facility based upon a rogue moon within the Unknown Region of the galaxy. The facility has many different areas of interest, all used by Vega in one way or another. Beneath is a list of the most significant areas.

Hangar Bay: The size of the hangar bay stretches roughly 200 metres in both width and length, capable of holding a fair handful of smaller craft with enough space to walk about. The hangar bay is protected by a default blast door, backed up with a generated shield should the door become unstable enough to maintain its defensive purposes.

Technological Research Facility: This facility consists of technological research projects which Vega conducts in order to benefit either herself, the Vault, or her craft. Most of the facilities' terminals and technology are mostly that of which the Droid armies used; however, Vega has come to make some adaptations to the facility in order to conduct her work at a pace which synchronizes with modern technology. So far, Vega has only used this facility to construct technology for her craft and mainframe system of the Vault so it didn't require too much energy to run its entirety. There are plenty of other uses she can make out of this facility, but has yet to extend her research to the areas they consist of.

Droid Factory Facility: This facility was designed to create soldiers for the Droid army, but Vega has yet to make use for its entirety. She has taken it upon herself to conduct one experiment, but the information remains classified until she is sure it will have a functionality she is content with. (Update: Vega recently manufactured a fully functioning synthetic intelligence known as [member="Project 69"] - or Vera, to be simpler.

Pre-War Armoury: This Armoury possesses weaponry that the Droid army used in their conflict against the Republic and Jedi. Droid rifles and weaponry can be found here, but again, Vega has yet to find any specific use for the age-old technology, but has considered modifying certain items fit for black market trading.

Quarters Wing: This wing of the Vault was used for organic lifeforms, mostly those of higher authority in the Separatist organization. The wing holds up to twenty-two rooms, a lounge room, dining area, and bathroom facilities used by the organic life forms that required their usage. Vega has only recently got the power in that wing up and running, but still needs adjustments.

Command Wing: This section of the Vault was the commanding area, where the governed bodies remained to keep things in order, or to attend meetings with other higher authorities to discuss war-related matters, plans, and battle plans. This part of the wing has only one room used for quarters throughout it, making the rest of the wing completely used for their efforts within the war against the Republic.

Communications Room: This is one of the only areas Vega has gone through enough effort to reorganise. Once used as a communications room to track incoming craft, nearby objects and systems, and track the galactic map, it now serves as Vega's personal facility where she gathers intelligence occurring throughout the galaxy, hijacking passing frequencies so she can hack into the terminals and mainframes of their destinations. Through that, she can tap into the databases of nearby systems and factions to gain intelligence on their movements, news, and keep herself updated. She can also use this skill to look for work and ongoing jobs and locations which can be beneficial to her.

Engine and Power Level: Beneath the Vault lies the engine facility and core reactor for the Vault, where the power streams through the entirety of the structure. Despite this use, Vega reconstructed the engine so it didn't require one source of fuel she could no longer get her hands on. Instead, it thrives of cosmic and solar radiation released from nearby suns that have been carried past the moon with thanks to solar winds. However, this isn't always a reliable source of energy, so Vega also reconstructed a back-up engine that merely runs on ship fuel.

Cryostasis Facility: This facility was designed by Vega once she discovered use for the room that once served as a preservation area for organic materials. Through the 'Stasis technology in her craft, she designed a second back-up 'stasis facility should anything go wrong with her craft.

Trade Wing: According to the data Vega uncovered from the terminals, this wing was created for importing and outputting cargo. Vega's intentions for this wing consist of rebuilding it to be a trading post for black market technology, considering it has its own smaller hangar which can hold up to at least seven small cargo ships. Her second intention is to make it within full function for the use of black market technology.

There are a few other areas within the Vault, but they aren't considered to be anything of importance. Below are a list of notes for more information such as the moon it is stationed upon.

-It is unbeknown to Vega what sent the moon out of the orbit of its former planet. She suspects it was maybe once orbiting Zakuul, but she has yet to find any evidence to back up this theory.

-The moon's surface can be fairly icy in some places, considering it has too thin of an atmosphere to preserve heat. As a result, Vega manufactured an artificial atmosphere around the facility, expanding as far as a mile and half out it in order to preserve the heat and explore the safe zones of the moon to mine for possible materials. The rest of this rogue moon has yet to be discovered.

-The vault itself is fairly large, expanding as far as 4,260 feet in length and 2,412 feet in width, making it a possible trading post for black market equipment.

HISTORY: The vault - original name unknown - was supposedly designed as a backup, off-grid moon base should anything go wrong. However, due to the resources being needed elsewhere throughout the galaxy, interest within the facility was lost, and it was taken off the records as it was no longer considered a place of importance. Despite this effort to keep it hidden, Vega sought it out during a mission for the Jedi Council who discovered it through Republican spies. When Vega arrived, the facility was without power, seeing as how the back-up generators were shut down. Other than the fact it was used for the Droid army and Separatists, there is little to no information Vega has on it. What she does know is of little importance, and isn't considered beneficial for anyone to know.

Intent: I am creating this submission for more than one reason; firstly - the location is hugely relevant to Vega's story and history, being one of the most recognized locations in her backstory. Secondly - I believe it can be an interesting location for roleplayers, especially those who possess characters which revolve around - or reside in - black market trading and outlaw relations, looking for places to sell and buy merchandise. The location is also significant in Vega's current lifetime, being her own settlement and facility away from civilization, along with the intent of making it a trading post.

Hello and welcome to Codex! I'll be your judge on this one. Overall, this is an interesting and well thought out submission that I don't think it will take long to get approved.

Please include the full template and do not make alterations to it. The section you've omitted is Intent. This will need to be included. This is your reasoning as a writer for this location to exist.

Intent: (Why are you creating this submission?)
Thanks

Hey there, and thank you very much for your reply and compliment on the matter!

I must have not saved the edit I done to the Intent, but thank you for reminding me. I'll see to placing it in now c:
