The Undeserving Few OOC (Silvers and Reformation)

[member="Mabbik"]
Nope. He's using Force Persuasion as necessary to get around (IE for securing passage, getting through security, etc.). His Cred Chit is tied to his real name, which isn't really known since he doesn't introduce himself to people as such normally.

[member="Connor Harrison"] - with all do respect, it is not the job of others to worry about where or what your membership does if you fold. Your "where will they go" line sounds curiously close to suggesting the SJO must persist ICly for OOC reasons. Which I know you, so I will chalk up to jumbled words.

The crux of it is the issues happened ICly. And your Factions IC response generating much else besides retribution and anger on itself by others is silly. It would break many folks character's to respond in any way but the way they have to how you've all at the SJO handled this.

But honestly, you could just ignore it all and carry on. No one can force your narrative after all. But given we all share the same sandbox, that's poor form. I don't envy you lot the position, true. But it's happened. Best of luck handling it.

[member="Ijaat Mereel"] Point taken and thank you, but with all due respect to your comment, as a writer with the SJO/SSC for 2.7 years, I didn't mean my words to come across like that at all. I also have had many worries from new writers to the Faction about what this whole situation means and what will happen in the future - I don't like reading that from newbies and don't want them to worry about their time writing and crafting good story feeling everyone is out to "get them", so to speak.

You could just say I'm a writer who doesn't want anyone to worry about where their character can be, and a certain responsibility from that comes under Admin for the SJ. That's all it was so no other point was meant.

And I assure you in the numerous threads we've all been spread around since Korriban, it's nothing BUT IC...just sometimes it wears you down OOC, but we carry on and keep going! And we aren't going to stop handling it or progressing so long as those worried or worn out can be convinced it's all ok and in good form...because we don't like poor form ourselves.

I did mention that I was in disguise, so how did these guys immediately recognize me? Kind of poor form, I think. Also, unless the SJO has been spreading word out about a couple private meetinfs, I'd question a couple of local Joe's knowing who I am. I haven't exactly been out murdering planets. I have, in fact, been keeping a relatively low profile.

Now if you wanted to say he aroused suspicion when he came in, that would make sense. But the instant knowledge he's a Sith is a bit much considering its doubtful these guys have ever seen him before.

In a previous thread you boarded a diplomatic ship over Korriban. The Silver Jedi would have requested a copy of the holocams aboard ship and added you to the databanks since you were in a high enough position to warrant it. From there it's just a matter of sending out the information to the various worlds the Jedi protect and have it entered into their security systems. Holocams would then just have to pick out enough of your face to start an ID search and that would match you.

If they were still not sure public transportation in Star Wars is extremely likely to be automated for the sake of safety especially in lower districts like the one you went to. To board that you'd probably have to pay with a credit chip and since you said you were using your own chip with your name on it that would raise more flags. Suddenly you have enough flags raised that the system would automatically inform the officer in charge of the shift that a wanted criminal has appeared and provide the necessary information.

Most of this is pretty much common sense and using technology that is undoubtedly in Star Wars. It's just a matter of programming and getting some fairly good cameras. You don't need any human to memorize the faces and scan the crowd on landing platforms when you can have a computer do it for you and be far more accurate. Also in the posts previous to mine Z'Zharen mentioned he could see the green of your face which means it was not fully covered. Not quite enough to raise flags but then you throw in paying with a credit chip and then the alarm goes off.

Like I said, in disguise. Picking out enough of my face is going to be hard when I'm disguising it (think makeup and such, etc, to alter my tattoos appearance and such).

My name wouldn't raise flags. Only Teynara and a small handful of Sith know that Darth Ignus is Leos Palle.

Also, to be a wanted criminal you have to have committed a crime. I have committed none until now that would have been recorded.

Also, at the point Z'Zharen spotted me, I was already on the world, not within the confines of the transit system. And green skin isn't enough to go on. Mirialans aren't the only green skinned species in Star Wars.

But either way, disguised. Z'Zharen sees green skin, but green skin is not enough to identify someone.

If you can so easily break my disguise, then I guess nobody should use disguises in Star Wars. I established I was disguised, I am not a wanted criminal (heck, I approached the Silvers at Korriban peacefully for diplomatic talks). And my name is not publicly associated with Darth Ignus. If anything, it would merely indicate I, Leos Palle, am the owner of a public corporation which sells goods to everyone who wants to buy them (also not criminal). So, you really have no grounds for identifying me so easily. You might flag me as suspicious, but you wouldn't know I was a Sith.
