OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To flesh out a location that's been around, but unsubbed, for several years

Warchief Malgrog - Lord of the Underhold
  • The Graug - The species that inhabits this location

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: The Underhold
  • Classification: Military Capital
  • Location: Fornow, Pacanth Reach
  • Affiliation: The Fornow Horde under the ultimate rulership of the Panathan government
  • Population: The population of the Underhold is in constant flux due to the violent and unruly nature of the Graug who frequently kill one another for one perceived slight or another, but the great citadel has been known to hold several tens of thousands of Graug at any given moment.
  • Accessibility: The large surface sprawl is the most obvious entrance to the Underhold, but there are hundreds of smaller hidden entrances dotting the landscape in the most inconspicuous places.
  • Description: The Underhold is a massive structure of black iron and weathered stone that digs deep into the crust of Fornow and is filled with labyrinthine chambers, corridors, and a seemingly innumerable amount of forges and armories. It was built by the Graug over the ruins of an ancient Epicanthix stronghold that had fallen into disrepair during the Four Hundred Year Darkness, and the remains of that old fortress can still be seen on the surface. But that is only the tip of the iceberg as the Underhold descends several kilometers down into the surface of Fornow where the Graug endlessly toil to fashion weapons, armor, and breed beasts of war to support the war machine of Darth Carnifex.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Malgrog's Throne Room: The Warchief's chambers lie at the lowest point within the Underhold, a private complex accessible only by a private lift to which only Malgrog knows the access codes for. Within is a massive room that houses not only his throne but also the trophies he's collected from across the galaxy as he's murdered and pillaged in the name of his master. Adjacent to the central chamber is one reserved for his personal harem which contains a wide variety of humanoid females ranging from Human to Twi'lek to Mirialan and everything in-between, all of them prisoners of war from various conflicts.
  • The Breeding Pits: The Graug Horde is always expanding, always improving. Massive pits of muck and grime deep below the surface are reserved for their growth and adolescence, and it is where they are taught to fight and kill by their grizzled caretakers.
  • The Great Forge: A massive pocket of magma and volcanic rock, the Great Forge is the nexus from which all other forges in the Underhold work off of. Only the greatest of Graug weapons may be born in the primordial fires of this great pool.
DEFENSES
  • The Underhold does not possess any concrete defense measures against attackers, the Graug do not believe in such things. Rather in the event of an attack they would act very much like ants and use their superior numbers and willingness to throw themselves in harm's way to wash over any foe. However; they are capable of deploying makeshift weaponry and extra fortifications if needed.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Underhold was created by the Graug shortly after they were gifted the planet of Fornow by Kaine Zambrano as reward for aiding him in securing the throne of the Reach. They were further tasked with mining the mineral rich world of all of its resources and in turn using those to fuel the industries of war, quickly earning their reputation as master smiths and siegecrafters. It took them many months of unending work, but by the end of it all they had nearly strip-mined the surface of Fornow into nothingness. Great canyons rent in the earth exist where vast forests and lakes once dwelled, and plumes of smoke choke the air from thousands of different smaller settlements surrounding the great citadel each churning out weapons of war in massive droves.
