  • Very high muzzle velocity allows projectiles to be launched at fantastic speeds, making them very hard to dodge, and providing a significant kinetic impact.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
  • Maintenance please - Regular maintenance is essential to prevent critical failure.
  • DION Fibre - is easily damaged by Physical damage.
  • Auto fire - Excessive use of autofire will cause heat-shutdown for twenty seconds after 200 shots.

  • Bulky - The elongated barrel on The Twin Burners is unwieldy in a close range fight. The long barrel means that it’s harder to track and fire someone close to you and the weapon can be knocked away by a skilled opponent.

DESCRIPTION
Asaraa came to noverskaa looking for a pair of pistols. She found The Taffing Workshop where she spoke with Tom Taff. She brought designs for another company for what she wanted them to be similar to. Tom took a copy of the plan and then thought about upgrading it. So he adding a burning effect to the pistols from another weapon he had made with his own company. He then added so Isotope 5 to make it a decent shot weapon.

He then thought further on it and then added a quick fire option knowing she would be going against light-sabre wielders. Something to overwhelm them. When she returned to pick up the weapons Tom gave her a word of caution. "Don't use the autofire too long or you may find yourself without bullets during a heated battle."

This should have an ammunition limit. Eventually, the Isotope-5 power cell is going to run out of ammunition. Which also means that it should have a reload option probably (unless it's a disposable weapon).

Overall conceptually, this needs a solid, practical weakness it in its normal firing mode

[member="Tom Taff"], allow me to clarify. This needs as a weakness somewhere in its offensive ability, especially as this pistol has the range of a sniper rifle as is. That range, incidentally, largely cancels out any bulkiness of the pistol, especially given that comparable weapons (sniper rifles and the like) are even more bulky and lengthy. We're looking for something that's more like a game mechanic in something like HALO or CoD so that it has a solid role but isn't the ultimate weapon capable of doing everything well.

Things to look at downgrading may include its rate of fire, accuracy, power, range, ammunition capacity, and ability to be easily used.

Realistically, we're talking about something that's in the hundreds of rounds. For rough reference, typical blaster pistols have around 100 shots, heavy blaster pistols have ~50, and full-size blaster rifles anywhere from 50-500 shots.

We have to be careful to not write anyone's actions in our subs. Just like being able to dodge the shot, we can't really define another person's lightsaber. Each lightsaber is different almost by definition at this site, so it's entirely possible for a thin-bladed lightsaber to not realistically be able to block even one of these shots, or conversely, a lightsaber tailored for a Soresu user might be designed specifically to absorb large amounts of energy.

What I'd recommend for this would be to add something like "designed to" in this sentence to demonstrate intent, but not to dictate to the opposing writer what will happen. It could read something like this:

Quick fire - The full auto setting is designed to make it fire very quickly to try and overload anyone using lightsabres
