Naboo
Kas Larsen Kas Larsen

The snow had softened the world.

Aiden stood at the center of the small training circle, boots pressed into packed white where weeks of repetition had beaten the ground flat. Beyond the ring, the Naboo plains stretched quiet and endless, golden grasses hidden beneath winter's hush, the land resting rather than sleeping. Snow clung to the low stone walls and the edges of the homestead roof, catching the sunlight until everything seemed rimmed in pale fire.

He drew in a slow breath.

The air was cold enough to bite, but the sun was honest today, bright, steady, generous. It warmed his shoulders through the layers of his cloak, melting the edge of the chill and leaving that familiar Naboo balance between frost and light. He had always loved winter here. It demanded awareness. Sloppy movement punished you. Carelessness left you cold.

Good conditions for training.

Aiden rolled his shoulders once, loosening muscles that already knew what was coming. His lightsaber hung at his side, unlit but present, its weight a constant, reassuring truth. He reached out with the Force, not searching so much as listening. The homestead carried its usual quiet rhythms, the distant creak of cooling stone, the soft hiss of wind over snow, the low, steady pulse of life beneath the plains. Somewhere beyond the rise, a presence moved closer, familiar in its cadence even if still indistinct.

Aiden allowed himself the faintest curve of a smile as he shifted his stance, settling into readiness. Today would be a quick look over fundamentals, angles of attack, economy of motion, learning how snow altered balance and timing. No theatrics. No rushing ahead. The lightsaber was not a weapon to dominate with. It was a discipline. A conversation between intent, motion, and restraint.

Then, further training would come. The Force stirred gently around him, sunlight glinting off untouched snow as the quiet waited with him. Kas would arrive soon. And when he did, the lesson would begin.

OBJECTIVE: Find Aiden | Begin Training | Learn from Aiden

Arriving back on the planet Naboo and it was during the Winter season that Padawan Learner; Kas Larsen flew his TwinTail starfighter down to the Hangar Bay near the Jedi Enclave and Shiraya's Sanctuary. There was or a few ripples detected within the Force all due to the master and student bonds he shares with Jedi Knight; Aiden Porte. Frost, icy and snowy conditions not only felt but seen with his own eyes as Kas journeyed off to find Aiden. Only taking with him what would be needed as if one was to attend a training session and lesson within the Jedi Order but this of course was a one-to-one session with his master, mentor.

"He's here, waiting for me. Let's see what lies ahead for me. Keep an eye on the ship, Ernie."

Speaking to his R9 astromech droid before leaving the Hangar Bay to go find his master out in the Plains perhaps at the Homestead where the Porte resides. There were brief and some memories of previous times Kas visited where Aiden spent some of his time on Naboo whenever he wasn't located in the Jedi Enclave grounds. It will be interesting for Kas to undergo different conditions in the environments Aiden will have the young Jedi participate in. The many trips off-world and ventures on various planets in the Galaxy with and without his siblings Kas sure did encounter different environments that shaped him so far.

"Definitely colder around this time of year. Wonder what Aiden has in store for me."

After leaving the Hangar Bay and began making his way through the Plains to find where the Jedi Knight was. There was something in the Force, an instinct perhaps where Kas unclipped his main hand Lightsaber hilt off from his utility belt. It seemed to be a natural habit of Kas' now where if he was approaching someone or something with caution no matter if it were allies or safe zones doesn't mean something bad won't happen from within. There he was able to notice and spot a figure up ahead as he carefully made his way through the Plains to see Aiden his master within the Jedi Order. Now what did he have in store for Kas.

"Master, it's good to see you, again. Are we doing some training or something here?"

"Kas."

The wind stirred, lifting a thin veil of snow across the stones of the circle. Aiden stepped aside, gesturing subtly for Kas to come closer. "We are training," he continued, answering the question at last. "But not the normal way, on polished floors and controlled environments."

He looked down at the packed snow beneath his boots and shifted his stance deliberately, letting Kas see how the ground responded.

"Snow hides mistakes. Ice punishes them. Today, you'll learn how terrain changes timing, distance, and restraint. Footwork, awareness and the blade all at once."

Aiden unhooked his own lightsaber but didn't ignite it, letting it rest in his palm.

"This circle," he said, eyes lifting to meet Kas's again, "isn't about winning. It's about listening, to the ground, to your body, and to the Force when it's quiet."

A faint smile touched his expression, brief but genuine.

"Welcome to Naboo in winter, Kas. Step into the circle when you're ready."
