Talon had not only known the Sith lord but he had been his back up on Metalorn, a would be accomplice when they plotted to Corrupt Solari crystals on Rhen Var and Talon was a guard at the Sith's meeting when they plotted starting groups of Sith backed groups to assault Coruscant. Talon knew the Sith as no one else here did. He knew Vazela and this was not the same man. Talon saw his eyes in the Temple garden when he turned himself in and asked to come to the light. He had even found him the room he likely still occupied and he felt obligated to testify to the facts.
"If it pleases the court I would like to offer myself as a character witness," Talon would say if given leave to speak. If not he would nod and take his seat.
