Spell Collection: The book features a wide collection of spells and attached rune clusters to cast them. Every spell comes with 20 page explanation, as well as 20 blank pages where runes can be drawn with a mix of ink and blood to cast them.
These spells are:
Call Starweird
Spell: "Dukra iv Vieta, Udai nuyak Xuontai" ("Daughters of Space, Obey my command.")
Effect: A dual rune cluster that combines two effects, can only be used in space: The first one creates a collection of artificial force auras to draw out up to 8 Starweird, the second one creating an illusion to direct them at a target. The caster is never in full control of the Starweird, and should focus on the spell be broken they will turn on the caster as well. To keep the spell alive the incantation has to be constantly repeated.

Effect: A twist on the art of cryokinesis. When caster the water in the air around the targeted area becomes ice. The effect takes time to be cast, and during the time the spell has to be constantly repeated. After the initial cast, it takes roughly 20 seconds to freeze an area the size of an average human. If cast quickly the ice is thin and brittle, and therefore easily broken.

Effect: A twist on the art of pyrokinesis. When cast a ring of fire is formed around the caster, which stays alive for 12 seconds after being summoned. While a single cast is all that is needed to summon he fire, the caster holds no control over the fire once created, and neither can the spell be canceled by means of the spell itself.

Ballistic Shredder
Spell: "Nuyak dvasi buti zo asimi, nuyak laikas âhci je'as figura nuo tave karza kia tapti'" ("My mind is a storm, my enemies cut into pieces for the war to come"
Effect: A twist on Ballistakinesis. When called upon the spell takes roughly 20 seconds to be cast. To be used the caster has to be surrounded by small rubble and debris, while repeating the spell. During these 20 seconds the smaller pieces of the rubble start to gather around the user. Once the spell has reached its peak of power, the collection of debris can be fired at once or in short bursts, each piece at the speed of a bullet fired by a slugthrower.

Effect: A quite complex spell, that allows the caster to shortly become a incorporeal being composed out of smoke. While doing so the caster has no control over his form, and can only move to a position determined during the initial casting of the spell. Beyond that the spell requires 15 seconds of perpetration, as well a open mind be summoned. Should the caster be stopped during the casting, the spell will backfire, leaving physical damage. The smoke can traverse through small spaces, but is affected by outside influences like actual smoke.

Effect: Basically a photokinetic cloak to render an area or object invisible like a common force cloak, only with a wider area of effect. While there is no set limit to how far the illusion can stretch, size determines how imperfect the illusion becomes. While masking a singular human leads to almost perfect invisibility, everything beyond that is more similar to camouflage than to actual invisibility.
Effect: Basically a photokinetic cloak to render an area or object invisible like a common force cloak, only with a wider area of effect. The spell contains the power normally used for storms of lightning focused into a single devastating blast that can be used even over a long range, with an impact strong enough to break light to medium armor. Summoning the blast takes 10 seconds, should the spell disrupted it will backfire and unleash its power on the caster.
Effect: Creates a singular blast of force lightning summoned from the hand of the caster. The spell contains the power normally used for storms of lightning focused into a single devastating blast that can be used even over a long range, with an impact strong enough to break light to medium armor. The spell is designed to take fear to heights that will trigger a physical response to it, draining the victims body slightly in the process (OOC Note: No PC can be affected by this without consent)

Effect: An extremely redefined blast of telekinetic energy, designed to leave surface cuts on the body of an organic being. These cuts create a rune cluster on the victims body alike the one of Tainted Touch, creating a more permanent effect like the spell above. Yet not only takes the spell 15 seconds to be cast, the cut in runes have to be activated as well, needing both time and physical proximity to the target to do so, making the spell only really applicable in non combat scenarios. The spell of the carved in runes fades after roughly an hour. (OOC Note: No PC can be affected by this without consent)

When used the casters mind opens for a few seconds, creating a mental maelstroms that tries to suck in as many thoughts and memories as possible, leaving victims in a state of short term confusion (. While not nearly as focused or elegant as actual draining knowledge, the spell can be used against multiple beings at once. While casting the spell the user is less resistant against mental countermeasure. The spell also doesn't discriminate between friends or foes. (OOC Note: No PC can be affected by this without consent, drained memories are picked by the Writers if any.)

Mind link: The Crystal allows the book to be linked to the casters mind, giving a sense of where the pages for the sought spell can be found with ease, as well as the option to keep the book floating the air without taking up much focus to do so.
Strengths:
- Shortcut to Power: The Spells erase the need to actually master the force abilities used in them, as the runes and the incantation are responsible for giving the force the desired form
- Less focus required: As the runes are responsible for giving the spells form, the caster has to divert less focus on the spells as when using normal abilities of similar nature
- More Power required: The caster needs to use more of his power to cast these spells than when doing it without them, as the runes take power to be activated plus to the spell itself
- Slow: Casting is a slow process, often taking far more time to accomplish things that are rather simple with similar abilities
- Rune Knowledge: While the caster doesn't need to hold knowledge over the used abilities, intimated knowledge over the art of sith runes and the old sith language is required to understand the spells.
- Dark Side only: The spells can only be cast by those able to call upon the dark side of the force
The Tome of Twisted Ink is the peak of Darth Abyss obsession with sith runes, a passion enkindled by Darth Lykos before the Abyss ascend to his current form. While runes had proven quite effective in the creation of various objects that the sith lord uses, their effectiveness by making up rune structure on the fly was always inhibited by their complex nature. The tome is meant to use various spells and linked clusters directly, without the need to either create a local cluster when required or to imbue it into a single object.
Yet the Tome is not only a weapon but a rather comprehensive and complete work on the nature and use of runes. Not many are able to understand it, as Abyss has written it completely in the old language of the sith to stop unworthy beings from accessing the knowledge stored there.
To use the book a mindlink to a red crystal in the book case, allowing to find the required spell without searching for it. The mindlink also allows to use a very simple rune spell craved into the cover, letting it float in front of the caster as well as switching sites by mental command.
