GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: The Thirriken Empire
  • Classification: Government
  • Affiliation: The Gordian Reach, The Sith Empire, itself.
  • Organization Symbol: See above.
  • Description: An Imperial nation-state formed in the wake of the total absorption of the Gordian Reach and its adjacent territories by the Sith Empire. The Thirriken used their natural predisposition towards administration to their advantage. One of their more ambitious members, crowned himself Emperor with the tacit support of Lord Inquisitor Saarai. This fulfilled an era-spanning ambition of their people: to once again rule the Reach. As a result the region is going through somewhat of a renaissance, as Thirriken all across the Galaxy return.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
  • Headquarters: Torque
  • Domain: The Thirriken Empire lays claim to the entirety of the Gordian Reach. Everything east from the Vallusk Cluster has mostly accepted the state of affairs. The Thirrikens are capable administrators and with the Sith supporting their government? There isn't much to be done about it. It helps, of course, that the Yavin system is the domain of the Saaraishash. A powerful inquisitorial organization, which stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the newly-crowned Emperor. East of the Vallusk Cluster... things are somewhat different. Around the Roil and especially the Hard Roil conflict and tensions are ripe. While the Rekali clan mostly pulled out of the Reach, there is still a formidable presence within the Roil. Any incursions into the nebula have been repulsed, which has emboldened the planetary governments to its east. There are no words for open rebellion. Yet. But taxes are always late, the levies are under-supplied and it is clear the Easterners apply as much indignities as they think they can get away with. The Emperor has petitioned the Saaraishash for assistance. The Saaraishash remains silent in response. To conquer the East completely means either of two things- either they crush the Roil or a chaotic, difficult to navigate rebellious region would split their forces in half.
  • Notable Assets: Jovan Station.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: At the very top of the Thirriken Empire perches the Emperor. Beneath him are his advisors, each with a portfolio of business. They serve as the ministers of the Emperor and ensure that the administration operates smoothly. The layers below are mostly occupied by bureaucrats, merchant princes, high-ranking military personnel and other voices of authority within the Reach.
  • Membership: When you are born within the borders of the Empire you are considered an automatic citizen. Immigrants who wish to settle are subjected to interviews and paperwork. The Thirrikens love their paperwork. Once everything has been applied, supplied and delivered in triplicate the actual process is relatively quickly. Within a month the request is either declined, or a hearing is called to iron out any necessary details. You swear loyalty to the Emperor and the Empire and that is that.
  • Climate: Autocratic, aloft and ritualistic. There are nine rituals one must complete, whenever one request an audience with the Emperor. If you think that is a bit much, you really don't want to know about the purification rituals before official feasts.
  • Reputation: Wary and suspicious. The Thirrikens have had a history of siding with entities that give them the most benefit in the short-run. They are overbearing, haughty and seem to care more about protocols than actual substance. And yet... and yet every time you make a deal with them, think you got the better of them? Somehow you find your wallet completely empty. Nobody likes the Thirrikens, but some manage to maintain an aggravated sense of respect.
  • Curios: Any official dignitaries of the Empire possess a medallion that they must carry at all times. A sun with an eye inside is burned in one side.
  • Rules: Many. A lot. Too much. Some wonder when they actually came up with them, considering they haven't been in power for more than half a decade. It is almost like they were planning this for centuries at a time. The rules do signify that. There are many contradictions, plenty of pomp and appearances. If you ask a Thirriken though? It all seems to make sense and centers around a center belief: oaths and promises are never to be broken. The rule of law is fundamental to a well-functioning society. Lastly, there always has to be a bowl of fruit for a visiting Thirriken.
  • Goals: Solidify power over the Reach. Cement a dynasty that will stand for centuries, if not more.
MEMBERS
The Pale Emperor - The Thirriken now known as the Pale Emperor shed their name when they ascended to the throne. High-strung, emotional, but strangely calculating the Pale has managed to outmaneuver several rivals in their quest to forge the Thirriken Empire. Few see them these days, but their proclamations vibrate through the entire government day after day without stop.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Thirriken Empire was a dream.

An idea, or an ideal, of their return to prominence. The Thirriken had survived in the Roil for centuries, but they had always known the fundamental truth. That they were destined for better and greater things. The arrival of the Yuuzhan Vong had been the catalyst. As the galaxy around them burned, they swore loyalty to the barbarians for a single purpose: conquer the Gordian Reach once and for all.

They succeeded. They ruled. The Vong fell... and so did the fledgling Empire.

Now they hope for a different future. The Sith Empire as their new patron, but with lessons learned from their past mistakes. A careful expansion, cementing their power without being too overbearing. Some are surprised by their moderation. Others see the calculating wing of Saarai behind it. Either way- most of the region is now administered by the Thirriken Empire after centuries of irrelevance.

Dream turned to reality.

Now they need to sustain that reality for generations to come.

Strangely enough the artist seems to have removed the art piece. I have managed to find a secondary source for the art, linked it and then also added an additional link to the artist's DA page.
