Objective: Deal with Sage Bane

Just when everything seemed to be over, there was silence. Lurcano looked up, his heart rate beginning to slow down and there was nothing there. His fear turned into confusion, and his confusion once again led to fear. Fear of the unknown. 'What, where did it go? What happened? Did it even exist? And if it didn't exist, then who or what am I facing that can influence my mind in such a way? Can I even be sure that THIS is real? Perhaps the monstrosity that was in front of me is actually there and I'm now incapacitated. All these questions...'

All his doubts however were dispelled once Sage Bane came into view. As his arm was finally released from its prison, Lurcano's fear turned into disgust. His lips turned upwards and he picked himself up. His stomach groaned in protest, and he took another shaky breath trying to calm himself down for the fight that was sure to follow. 'Wait, is that? I can't believe it.' Shaking his head, as his body began to shake; Lurcano's laughter would be heard resounding across the hallway.

"Son uva queen. Woulda you know. Out of all the people I might meet, I come across the brother of Mr. Cryax Bane." Activating his jet pack, Lurcano lifted his gun and immediately moved into action while it seemed his opponent was distracted. He would need to react quickly before he could gain full control over his arm. 'Blasted Vong technology. A scourge on this galaxy.' Switching to his Venom slugs, he began to fire a hail of bullets toward Sage Bane. He kept himself ready for any attempts to use the force, though he knew that it might not be enough to save him. If the slugs were blocked by Sage Banes Lightsaber they would disintegrate and molten metal along with boiling acid would be flung at Sage with enough strength to eat through a thin Durasteel plate.

He was ready to tactically retreat at a moments notice, and he kept the large variety of tools which were available to him at the ready.

Beskar boots continued to walk upon the cold durasteel floors of the hangar that haven't been disturbed or walked for many centuries up until this eventful day. It was unnatural to not be met with any resistance or activity from the guardians of this ancient and outdated station. Not even a sound made from any source of medium couldn't be heard besides the footsteps of the Mandalorian. However, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere wouldn't and will not lower his guard just because of the fact that he was alone with no intelligent life form or artificial intelligence around him or the HUD, built within his buy'ce, couldn't pick up. But this quiet and peaceful atmosphere would not and will not lower his guard. Expect the unexpected, wise men would say to strangers. Anything could happen in these strange, foreign tides.

But suddenly he was no longer alone as his ears picked up footsteps coming behind him and his HUD picking up the signature tag of a being in the hangar he stationed his transportation in. The Rally Master turned his body and head towards the left and saw a familiar, legendary face before him. Rygel Larraq. This very man was known for many, many things that earned him fame throughout the ranks of the Mando'ade and the countless of stars in this awe galaxy. The innovations that made in reality from his mind was one of the special qualities of him. But that was one of the many factors of this man. His unparalleled skills of fleeting, building the Mandalorian fleet that made Mandalore and its Warriors a powerhouse, making Dromud Kaas a complete wasteland after conquering it from the Sith Empire, and destroying every bit of the remains of the Sith Empire that was succeeded by the One Sith. It was great to have this individual at his side.

“Vod, shouldn't ya be sacking a planet?" the Warrior asked towards Larraq from his emotionless helmet. Continuing his path to a door that could lead him anywhere the Mandalorian began to hear a louder rhythm of clanging feet much louder than Vilaz's and Larraq's combined. Simultaneously, his HUD had alerted him of the outdated droids used in the Clone Wars among both figures. The station was indeed alive, after all. It was no coincidence that after the arrival of the two Mandalorians units and units of droids would come alive and defend what they were ordered to guard. While these were mindless droids that could be easily disabled it was best to not waste any ammunition on just mere battle droids. It'd be much more appropriate to use the ammunition on hordes of battle droids.

“Larraq, let's make a run for the hallways. These droids ain't worth a sweat," the Bounty Hunter said to his fellow Mandalorian as he broke in a run heeding Larraq's directions.

Rygel Larraq arched an eyebrow at the initial suggestion. "At the moment, my attention is best served here." Larraq said as he continued to punch buttons on his datapad. There was a flood of information flowing through it. He could see every power conduit, computer terminal, and automated door within 500 meters of his location. Life-sign sensors highlighted every other living being on the station within 750 meters of himself, and a combination of energy field and motion trackers highlighted every droid within 250 to 500 meters of his location. It was a lot to process in a very short amount of time, but he'd have to make do.

"I'm picking up what looks to be a... concentration of power conduits and electronics. It may be a primary terminal." Larraq said as Vilaz's words finally registered with him. Scrolling back slightly on the datapad, Larraq saw the wall of droids making their way towards the hanger. "Better idea." Larraq said as he quickly double checked the readings he was getting. "There should be a maintenance hatch 20 meters in that direction." Larraq said as he gestured down one of the hallways. "If we make a run for it, we should be able to bypass this cluster of droids." He said before opening up into a sprint.

To Matsu everything around her was always mapped by minds, bubbles of cognitive space lit by firing neurons and the push of hormones. While unable to directly read thought she was extraordinarily sensitive to presence and intention, something of a foresight of her own developed over decades of honing a mental connection to others. She’d discarded true skill with a lightsaber to find unholy prowess in the esoteric. While there were those that had practiced their own defense – Reverance among their number, as well as a few other mentalists soaring between the stars – for the most part she was adept enough to find a way in to most heads. Of course the concentration required was often unavailable in combat situations, but she’d found ways to defend herself.

However, a droid’s presence and intention were completely unavailable to her due to the distinct lack of brainwaves to soak up.

She had only the split-second inkling of danger before they came to life, the groan of long unused machinery almost deafening in the enclosed space. Several burning blaster rounds shot by her head, narrowly missing her. The battle droids were old tech. Flimsy was perhaps too strong a word, but regardless they came apart – dusty, brittle, scattering – with a good push of the Force. The grapple-droid was not so simple – it only blew back slightly in the wake of her push, standing its ground as its smaller companions flew by it. That the clawed ends of its hands were capable of stopping a lightsaber had to concern her even if that wasn’t how she fought. If it managed to get a hold of her it would crush her in its embrace, snap her delicate little spine in a dozen places. Although she wasn’t afraid to die, she didn’t particularly want to.

Concentrating, she siphoned some of the power she’d been saving for just such an occasion, raising both hands together before snapping them apart from each other in a simpler imitation of what happened to the grapple-droid as it tore apart in thousands of pieces. Gears, shards of metal, mechanisms she couldn’t name flew apart in a giant cloud to the tune of its impact sticking in the walls. From through this cloud she saw the woman (Mia Monroe) appear at the opposite end of the hallway, gun raised. The Sith Lady didn’t recognize her, nor did she feel any good intent. Shoot first, ask questions later.

Matsu didn’t hesitate, taking control of several long, sharp shards of the dismantled grapple-droid that hadn’t found their place in the wall yet and hurling them with a telekinetic shove towards the stranger.

Of course, the one time Keira wasn't actively seeking out an engagement, trouble decided to find her instead. Luckily it was only in the form of droids, and very few of them at that. They weren't worth her trouble, or immediate attention for that matter, so she deflected the blaster bolts that strayed in her direction with her orange-bladed saber, aiming to cripple or destroy, before moving on. If they pursued she would take aggressive action, but for the moment her weapon was disengaged and clipped at her waist. Sending a final Force Push in the direction of those nearby mechanical adversaries she left the hangar behind for the halls, her pace steady and senses open. Nothing would be catching her off guard if she had any say in it.

Leather boots tread near soundlessly on durasteel floors, and for her part she did her best in an attempt to remain silent and unnoticed by those not sensitive to the Force. Already she knew that her presence in the Force had likely been picked up by the others, and was of little consequence now. It was just a matter of avoiding a fight for the moment. But, present company considered, that was easier said than done. For the moment she would have to settle for finding out just exactly where she was and a way out while evading the others. The chances of things actually going her way for once were slim to none, but she had to play the cards she was given and concern herself with the implications of it all later.

What she couldn't otherwise see she could feel, and what she felt was yet another presence manifesting through the Force, again unfamiliar, and one she assumed to be hostile until proven otherwise. With the arrival of the new individual she had eight likely enemies to concern herself with, though they didn't seem to be friendly with those she considered enemy either. This one was another darksider, which seemed to be commonplace at this point. They were far enough away not to raise any hackles, so she deemed to live and let live for the moment.

Another tremor through the Force radiated with that same fog of darkness. Sith. Well, she wasn't the target of whatever assault had been called upon, so there wasn't a reason to bother with any further rudimentary investigation. She already had one Mandalorian and likely another to watch out for, and that was enough. A fight didn't have to eventually transpire, but knowing her and the present company it would. She knew from past experience that at least one of them wasn't one to be underestimated, regardless of the arrogance that she chanced to share on more than one occasion. That was one to watch out for, and carefully.

Despite her lack of want to instigate anything she reached out towards one all too familiar mind (Anja Aj'Rou). "Did you really miss me that much? I'm flattered." While they weren't exactly friends, it wasn't as if they were entirely enemies either. It was a strange sort of acquaintanceship they shared, if it could even be called that. But after how the rest of it had panned out, things couldn't really get much worse in any major sense. Either a fight would happen or it wouldn't. She just wished the powers that be would make a decision.

When Sage got a look at his foe, his light brown eyes narrowed. The grey-skinned Nagai wearing the gear of a mercenary, was incredibly familiar. Cerulean and pink neon lights flickered through his head. The Dragon Palace Casino. This was one of his half-brother's top brass before Cryax betrayed the organization. Sure enough the other man's incredulous laughter confirmed his suspicion.

"Huh, one of my brother's former guard dogs," Sage spat, then leveled a question at the mercenary. "What is it you do with hounds that have outlived their usefulness?"

There was no time to answer right away, as suddenly the man was firing upon him, and Sage might have been caught off guard, but his arm had minds of their own. The feral trio of amphistaves possessed a predator's reflexes, and when Lurcano's slugs came barreling towards Sage, the Master, the feeder, his Vong-formed arm instinctively knitted itself together, the black tentacles intertwining, forming a barrier with their thick, impenetrable skins. The Sith Knight raised his arm in a salute across his chest, and with anguished howls of pain, he let his arm take the brunt of the explosive chemicals. As Sage was connected to the creature, body and mind, it hurt like the devil, but the limb did its job.

The chemicals soaking into its leathery exterior only served to make Sage's arm as angry as a hornet's nest. The tentacles whipped around in a frenzy, hissing and snapping viciously. The serpentine limbs struck out like a whip and attempted to wrap themselves around Lurcano's shin. If Sage's opponent did not find a way to thwart the attack, the tiny razor sharp points would shred the other man's armor and slice into his flesh. Then Sage's opponent would be pulled off his feet and dragged closer to the Sith Knight.

His eyes reflected the red plasma beam of his waiting lightsaber, as Sage finished his earlier thought.

"You put them to sleep."

Just when Lurcano was sure that Sage Bane was going to be peppered by a hail of bullets, his Vong arm came to the rescue. "Disgusting! I hope you rot in hell with that monstrosity of yours." Quickly changing his mode of fire before he used up all of his precious Venom slugs, Lurcano didn't take his eyes off Sage. It was at this exact moment that he and his monster arm decided to strike. The long tentacle like appendages seemed to slither across the floor as they raced towards Lurcano. This incited almost as panic as the illusion Sage had conjured up did.

Spurring his already activated Jetpack into gear, Lurcano rose up several feet and propelled himself backwards as he tried to escape from Sage's arm. All thoughts of going on the offensive were abandoned as Lurcano tried to flee from the amphistaff arms. He knew enough about Vong technology that his armor wouldn't survive more then a few glancing blows. Maybe one solid hit if he was lucky, but Lurcano never was. This statement was only proved to be true once one of the arms got close enough to tag his leg.

It was only for a second, as it seemed the arm had reached it's limit in length. It wasn't able to wrap around his shin like it had presumably wanted to do, but it struck with such force that Lurcano was thrown to the side against the wall. As he hit the wall, his fingers quickly deactivated his Jetpack before he hit something the wrong way and exploded. After skidding on the ground for a few more feet, Lurcano eventually stopped. The sensors in his helmet were going wild, listing vital signs and various other miscellaneous information.

Quickly picking himself up off the ground, Lurcano ignored the cut which had manifested itself on his ankle. It would sting after, but for now it did little to hamper his movement. 'With the amount of adrenaline coursing through my veins, it's a wonder that I can even feel anything...' Lifting his gun, Lurcano continued to fire at Sage though he used regular slugs this time instead of the Venom slugs. He had a limited supply of them, and would need to keep them handy. It would only take 1-3 seconds to change his clip anyway if he moved quickly. Lurcano would be standing about 6 meters away from Sage, towards the back of the hallway.

All the while, he shouted out a slew of insults towards Sage, not caring whether or not Sage could even hear him. "Bold words coming from the brother of a laserbrain whose mind was so utterly raped by the masters you now loyally serve like the dog that you are. Family pride and honor obviously mean nothing to you. Hell, you're a useless piece of chit. Even your dumbkark brother had one thing going for him. He understood the Ravens were a sinking ship and got the kark out as fast as he could. That was something that took me a little longer to grasp but I got the message soon enough. What have you done though? NOTHING!"

Fight then. Always a fight. Never a chance to talk. Never the thought that, perhaps, Mia didn't want to fight.

Perhaps.

Not likely though.

Mia's lips curled into a slight smile, before she whipped back around the corner to avoid the shards of metal coming her way. They whistled past her, so close she could feel the air move. Stepping back out she fired twice before the shotgun clicked empty and she dropped it. If she came out on top, she could get it later. No time to reload, giving a sith time to do anything was always a big mistake.

The bolters found there way into her hands and lifted the siths way.

Anja couldn't help but feel a cold sigh wanting to escape when she realized who it was... [member="Keira Ticon"] once again was praising her own telepathic abilities, much to the Host Lord's disinterest. There were things afoot in this station yet it seemed to already be turning into a bloodbath. All around her she could feel the clash of souls growing closer together in a struggle for power over this eight centuries old relic. How many battles have they fought now. Two? Maybe more; it was turning into somewhat of a feud, a rivalry between them. Yet it was odd, really--Anja did not feel ill towards the heathen girl but fighting to the death was hardly a game; except when it was.

The path she wished to walk had been shut off quite rudely by her Sith ally but it wasn't within her nature nor interest to complain. Rather she noticed another way in the rather large and open hangar, a corridor that must lead somewhere. With her ship secured behind her the Host Lord began to walk in the general direction of the entrance way. She remained wary of that around her and had her vibroblade already drawn... For force-users it wouldn't be too difficult to detect her presence but for anyone else she moved quietly like a mouse, her footsteps clicked only subtly and wouldn't be easy to pick up over the ambiance of the space station. Especially not for those who could hear the sounds of battle.

A path was already laid out for her by those who went ahead, drawing enemies to them and leaving Anja almost entirely alone save for those who remained behind with her. The questions that remained is of what she would find within. What secrets, wealth, and powers lied hidden inside the station? Perhaps it was all for naught and this struggle is a way for the Gods to mock the vanity of egocentric mortals.

Whatever fate was hers she would accept it.

She liked to think of herself as a critical thinker, a Sith less prone to kneejerk reactions as her Master had taught her over a decade ago. But the concept of discussion went out the window when someone came around a corner with guns drawn – maybe a little hasty, but scatterguns weren’t a thing she wanted to trifle with.

The sound of the scattergun going off was loud in the small space of the hallway and Matsu’s immediate reaction was to find cover. It was in ample supply thankfully, another snap of her fingers gathering shards of shattered droid in a make-shift shield. It was messy but it, combined with the distance between them and the inherent drawbacks of a scattergun at range, saved her from the hole that might have been blown in her abdomen at a closer distance.

Regardless, an audible hiss snaked through the corridor as a pellet lodged in her shoulder, right next to the junction where metal and flesh met.

She held the shield until she could skirt herself behind one of the columns serving as decorative architecture for the space station. In cover as was her opponent, she reached out with her true strength, searching for the woman’s mind.

Come out. Come out.
We can talk terms.

She poured her prowess in to the mental tug, the power she’d been storing up, letting the pain in her shoulder become part of her convincing argument as she attempted to draw her out enough to get another shot.

I’ll bleed out.
Come out. This place isn’t important to me.

Whether it was her attempt at control or simply the woman’s plan to peek from the corner with another gun raised Matsu wasn’t sure but either way she wasted no time. The spell was her most practiced, intricate hand motions completed in the span of seconds before she released a Sith incantation – a spear of hatred, hoping to pin this woman to the wall behind her. It would jazz up the sterile interior of this space station, that was for sure.

Come out. Come out.
We can talk terms.

"Bullshid." Mia grumbled under her breath. Her rationale told her to stay put, to ignore the soft tones of the sith queen. She'd never had anything in the way of mental defence, hers was an open book for the world of mentalists to pick at. And what a glorious book of pain and suffering it was.

I’ll bleed out.
Come out. This place isn’t important to me.

Mia hated it. She hated being poked at. The audacity that someone felt like they had a right to go poking around in someone else's head, made her angry. Whether it was her anger, or the tug from the sith that drew her from her cover, Mia would probably never know. She regretted it in a heartbeat, when the spear came whistling towards her. Avoiding it completely was out of the question, a step to the left avoided it impaling anything serious, ripping through her right shoulder she hit the wall behind her with an snarl of pain. Spear pinning her in place.

Mia closed her eyes, clenching her teeth she broke the world down in her mind, reduced it to atoms and air particles. Air particles that she made dance till the were burning. Fire erupted around her and spread rapidly down the corridor to Matsu's position. Let her get warm while she dealt with this minor problem.

Opening her eyes Mia took the spear in her hands and snapped away the end protruding from her shoulder, allowing her to step forward, leaving the spear smeared with her blood impaled in the wall. There was a lot of blood, too much for her to last in a long fight. She needed to end this and end it now.

“Oh I’ve been to Hell, yinba,” Sage snarled, his arm thrashing and spitting green globs of venom. His light-brown eyes followed Lurcano as his Jet Pack propelled him to the ceiling in an attempt to escape the reach of his leathery tentacles.

“It’s not nearly as nice as the brochures make it out to be.”

All three of the arm’s tentacles had failed to get their muscular grips on the mercenary, but one amphistaff managed to make contact. Its barbed skin collided with the man’s ankle, piercing the armor where it landed, and the blow shot him sideways. Lurcano skidded across the floor and scrambled to his feet.

The dark Force began to swell up in Sage, feeding him, aiding his concentration as his control over the half-feral creatures waxed and waned. They had been promised a meal and then denied one, and it incensed them. One of the heads of the trio, coiled back and snapped at Sage’s own face. The Sith Knight returned his own animalistic hiss which cowed the amphistaff for the time being. When frenzied, he had found that his arm responded better to alpha-like posturing than to purely mental commands.

He felt a tremor in the Force, a prelude to Lurcano’s rain of slugs. As expected, the weapon fire came barrelling towards Sage and the Knight called upon the lighting fast reflexes that he was taught through his rigorous training in Ataru. He leapt sideways in a dodging maneuver and mostly out of harm’s way, but not quite. He was fast, but not fast enough as one of the slugs nicked him on the shoulder, and sizzled through his clothing, his flesh oozing where the chemicals burned. “Kark kanway,” he muttered through gritted teeth. Shouts echoed through the hallway, a stream of insults and accusations about Sage’s brother and the Red Ravens. Something something... sinking ship. As the man either stopped shooting of his own accord or ran out of ammo, Sage called upon the Force to enhance his reflexes once again. He dashed up and along the walls of the corridor, moving as a gravity-defying blur until he was behind his foe.

His Vong-formed arm began to wind their serpentine bodies around the mercenary, as his human hand held the lightsaber in front of the other man's torso. One tentacle attempted to insert itself between the man’s helmet and his armored chest, as it aimed to grasp his fragile neck and squeeze like a boa constrictor.

As his arm began to tighten like a vice, Sage let out a pained whisper right next to Lurcano’s helmet, where he presumed the Nagai’s pointed ear to be.

“Why don’t you tell me all about those dumbkark Banes, again, huh?”

Finger pressed down on the trigger, slugs were sent flying down the corridor. Just as it seemed he would be able to hit Sage and finish the fight once and for all, the sound of am empty cartridge clicking resounded across the hallway. It took a moment for Lurcano to register the fact that his gun had jammed. This moment of weakness, was all the advantage that Sage Bane needed to gain the upper hand in the situation and all but incapacitate Lurcano.

Sage Bane was a blur as his force enhanced reflexes allowed him to rush straight down the hallway towards Lurcano. Abandoning his rifle, Lurcano's fumbling fingers reached for the WESTAR 34 which was strapped to his waist. He pulled it out and looked up to face his opponent, but it was already to late. As Sage seemingly materialized behind him, the tentacles that were apart of Sage's left arm wrapped around Lurcano and prevented almost all movement on his part.

Thankfully, he had managed to get his WESTAR out, though he had been in such a hurry that he'd unable to take it off the stun setting. 'Quick...Think. Fast...' The sensors in his helmet were going wild as the Durasteel enforced armorweave which was supposed to protect his throat as Sage's vong arm constricted around it and threatened to crush his wind pipe, Lurcano pressed down on the trigger of his WESTAR at point blank range, only inches away from Sage. He firing off several shots. While he did this, his still functional Jet Pack also activated and attempted to wretch him from Sage's iron like grip.

Lurcano's intention was to force Sage into a position where he would have to let go of him to dodge the blaster bolts. If his fast reflexes were unable to dodge the point blank shot, that would work just as well. The shots would be able to penetrate through whatever clothing Sage might be wearing and knock him out cold where he would be at the mercy of Lurcano.

As the two men were racing down a hallway they had turned into pursuing battle droids began chasing the Mandalorians all the way from the hangar leaving them the options of stand and fight, or keep on running away from the synthetic guardians. Was it natural for Mandalorian to retreat from his opponents especially if they were inferior droids if compared to other droids and the vicious skills of a Warrior. Yes and no. While they were full of pride and lust of war and victory they had a mind that did put limits and barriers of what they could do and what they couldn't do in any situation. As demonstrated in the Battle of Empress Teta that occurred many years ago, years before the events of the Netherworld, the combined clans of the Mandalorians were forced to retreat from their offensive attack since it was clearly known that the odds were in favor of the Sith. That would be the appropriate time to retreat from battle. But from four ancient droids then it'd would seem weak to run away from.

“Well, as long as we don't throw ourselves in the dump I'm fine with whatever " the Rally Master replied back to his fellow vod hearing the suggestion from Larraq himself knowing that their previous plan to get to the terminals of the station was foiled by the countless of battle droids now awaking from their long, deep slumber ever since from the waning days of the Clone Wars. But if they were to continue with the previous plan there were slim changes for these two to come out alive from the hundreds of thousands of droids that would, no doubt, be patrolling the hallways, the hangars, everything in this station. Even with the near indestructible beskar they were wearing it couldn't protect from everything such as the explosion of a rocket or a grenade. And their chapters wouldn't end with mindless droids killing them on this scene.

Twenty meters they were away from the maintenance hatch and twenty meters they ran towards the hatch as directed by Larraq's instructions. His right hand found grabbing one of his holstered dual WESTAR 34 pistols and turned around still seeing the pursuing battle droids still after them. His arm rose up to aim at the droids and began retaliating with blaster bolts as the droids continued shooting at the Mandalorians. One of the blaster bolts coming from Vilaz found its mark on one of the droids that then fell down, disabled fro duty. “Get in!"[/color" he said to Larraq continuing shooting at the droids. But there were more beings in this station as he could hear the sound of a scattergun echoed throughout the hallways of the hangar. Friend or foe? Didn't matter as he had problems of his own to deal with.

As his Vong arm squeezed tighter, constricting the man's throat right through his armor weave, Sage noticed the man fumbling for his pistol. In his mind, he had ordered the two remaining tentacles to grasp the mercenary's free hands, but the amphistaves did not obey his commands, instead choosing to thrash around like wild serpents in the maw of a mongoose. Venom splashed against the visor of Lurcano's helm, toxins that would blind the man had he not been protected by his armor. Until Sage was a Master, he would not have full control over the creatures. It was one of the unfortunate realities about which Reverence had warned him that day in the Selvaris gla, where the Yuzhaan Vong shaper had painfully fitted him with the Vong prosthetic as he bit down on a piece of wood to protect his own tongue. Until he learned to dominate them, and trained them to be loyal, the arm would be both blessing and curse to him.

As Lurcano seized his pistol, he turned his hand backwards to shoot Sage at point-blank range. Man and tentacles moving as one, Sage released Lurcano to dodge the blaster fire. As he moved with preternatural speed, he swept his blood-red blade sideways towards Lurcano's hips where the joints of his phrik armor connected and were not as protective as the plates on his chest and legs. The maneuver was intended to bisect the man in two if the attack connected in the right place, and as he whirled to face his foe, Sage relished the thought of sending him back to the Red Ravens in two separate pieces.

OBJECTIVE: Fight!

A flare of anger – the other woman’s signature felt muddled to Matsu, falling completely to neither the Light nor the Dark, but that emotion was unmistakable. It was always expected when she went poking around where she didn’t belong. She knew she had no right to be there…she knew it wasn’t her place. She’d chosen this path specifically because she hated the thought of someone else doing the same to her. But that didn’t stop her from using it against others.

She had a split-second of warning as she felt the closure of concentration when atoms shook, heat produced, a great flare of flame forcing her to press herself in her spot of cover. It was an insufficient barrier however and in her need to get away she turned to the doors she’d been heading towards when the droids had activated. She was prepared to blast them open, hammer a telekinetic slam so hard they bloomed back and upwards, but they slid open with a much smaller effort, allowing her to sprint in to the next hallway and skid around a corner where she seemed relatively safe, at least from direct attacks for the moment. The flames ate oxygen, finding anything to burn.

She needed to end this now before she ended up as a crisp.

She had no direct line of sight with her target which took away some of her accuracy, but she could follow the familiarity now that she’d touched the stranger’s mind once before. She released pain – at first a trickling, white-hot threat dragging up nerve endings as it headed for the center, agony threatening to pull a skull in to a thousand pieces. If she could get the woman to falter she had a thousand options to end this fight.

Objective: Deal with Sage Bane

As Lurcano successfully managed to pull out his pistol, his eyes began to slowly fade out. As the oxygen was squeezed out of his lungs, Lurcano struggled to remain concious. His mouth gasped for air but nothing came and his activated Jet Pack struggled against the Vong tentacles which held him tightly to Sage. That was up until Sage sent him flying backwards, up and away from him. Now unhindered, his Jet Pack which had been operating at full capacity; sent him flying backwards many miles an hour.

This momentum carried him far away from Sage's sword, and it only landed a glancing blow against Lurcano's shin which was protected by his Phrick plating; so little damage was done. As he flied towards the wall of the corridor, he managed to slow himself down enough so that when he hit the wall, the shock absorbers in his suit were enough to blunt much of the impact. Falling down to a seated position, Lurcano quickly gasped for breath. Life saving oxygen flooded into his lungs as he gulped uneasily. The arm had caused him much pain, and he would no doubt have bruises all over his neck, but it had done little lasting damage.

Standing once more, Lurcano reached into his the bag that laid at his side. He would be unable to win this battle the way things were shaping up. He had nothing to deal with Sage's Vong arm. 'Damn, I should have come more prepared. A mistake I won't make in the future.' His hand found exactly what he was looking for. A proximity mine with just enough firepower. He had two of them, enough to seriously damage the structure of the corridor they were in. He quickly threw them outwards, one stuck to the floor and another to the wall. They laid halfway between Sage and Lurcano.

Leaning against the wall while he took his second pistol out, a course laugh came from Lurcano. "Alright, you win. You're a karking freak, but you win. Come any closer though, and those bomb's will damage the hull enough that this whole corridor will be breached. The blast doors will snap shut, stopping both you and me from leaving. All the oxygen in this room will be vented out into the open vacuum of space. Something I doubt either of us could survive. So how about we call truce? Who knows, maybe I can tell you some more about you dumbkark Banes just like you asked?"

A few coughs escaped Lurcano and he immediately winced from the pain it caused him. He wiped away the acid that half coated his visor, before continuing. "Oh, and in case you didn't know. I ain't a part of the Ravens no more. That's the one thing your brother got right anyway. Coulda shot us a warning before he left. Woulda saved me a lot of time, and a few near death experiences at that."

Objective: End the fight.

If was the key word in this battle. If Mia faltered the flames would reduce, but not go. They'd already found fuel to keep them going, they were already eating away at the oxygen around them. White hot pain exploded in her mind, coursed through her body and Mia's concentration slipped for a heartbeat. In that heartbeat she remebered the agony of devaronian blood poison coursing through her veins and she fell into old routine.

She split her mind, a good portion of it focused on crucitorn, keeping the unbearable agony at bay, Then she pushed forward, with a busrt of speed, boolter raised in her right arm as the flames ebbed somewhat. She passed the sith queen's former hiding place, caught glimpse of the open door and pushed forward again, keeping the bolter raised, ready to fire the moment she stuck her head out to see what was going on.

Objective: Make peace

His lightsaber cracked Lurcano's phrik plating as he flew out of Sage's reach, smacking into the wall and skidding down to the floor. Something about his rival's posture told Sage that his opponent was growing weary of their fight, and that suspicion was confirmed when he spoke. Despite the proximity mines he threw out, Lurcano wanted to call a truce it seemed. Sage extinguished the light of his saber as a show of good faith, and clipped it to his belt next to his focus. The tentacles of his arm still pulsated wildly. It was nearly impossible to get them back in their masquer once they got a taste of combat, so he let them thrash. They would settle down eventually. In the meantime he would simply have to grin and bare the infernal screaming inside his head.

"Fine," the Knight said, his chest wheezing from exertion. He fluttered his human hand towards the Nagai's weapon.

"Truce then, but put that pistol away, man."

Sage's shoulder burned where he had been nicked, and he lifted back the collar of his shirt to have a quick look at his blistered skin. He made a face and then let the fabric fall.

"So you left the Red Ravens too, eh?" Sage said with a smirk, his light-brown eyes still glued to Lurcano's pistol with hawk-like intensity.

"Didn't want to sign your own death sentence, huh?"

"Didn't want to sign your own death sentence, huh?" Chuckling, Lurcano gave a small nod as he slowly pocketed his two WESTAR's at his side. They had fought each other to a relative stand still, though Lurcano knew that if the fight had continued; the chances of him surviving were slim to none short of a lucky shot or a lapse in control over his Vong arm. His heart started to slow down as the adrenaline that had kept his body going began to fade away from his body. Suddenly he became aware of all the bumps, bruises, and cuts that littered his body. 'Damn, this will hurt like a queen in the morning, that it will."

"You Sith fellows don't get around very much huh? Well, because I'm such a nice fellow, I'll fill you in on some of the things that you missed. This includes an attempted assassination attempt on Miss Kritvaas, aided and abetted by yours truly. My flight from Antecedent with Lysle Rigger and a variety of other interesting fellows. Oh, and the fact that I'm currently wanted by both the Ravens and the Sith Assassins. Fun times I've been having recently."

"How do things go with you? You've obviously changed quite a bit since the last time I saw you. That arm is a nice little addition you've made. And by nice I mean disgusting, horrific, and generally sickening. Don't let my words sour your opinion of me though. You eventually get used to it. Oh, and no need to mind my little comments during the fight either. I don't really think all Bane's are big kark ups, and my comments about your familial lineage aren't really worth repeating. Heat of the moment, ya' know?"

Lurcano realized that it perhaps wasn't the smartest idea to insult someone who had the ability to plant terrifying images inside your brain and make you question reality, but hey! Who ever claimed Lurcano was smart?
