SETTING INFORMATION
Kara's Summer Palace, as it is known to most of the Thawne Children is a perfectly accessible colonial mansion located directly in the middle of Ylesia's largest swamp. The building and the land itself can be reached by Speeder, starship, and even some tracked vehicles. Most wouldn't have that much of an issue actually finding the Palace itself.

Of course reaching the Palace by foot is rather difficult given it's location in the middle of a swamp. To even reach the spice fields one would have to trudge through about three days worth of mud, trees, vines, and a whole host of other unpleasantness. For this reason it is suggested that anyone traveling to the Palace simply takes some kind of vehicle.
  • Security:
Though not hardened against attack, the Summer Palace does have a few defenses.

Mostly located throughout the Spice Fields, the Palace has a concentration of automated turrets, mines, and of course a large laser fence that rings the entire property. By no means a fortress, the Palace and it's spice fields would nevertheless be difficult to assault with anything short of military gear and training.

Of course, the Palace also houses a small garrison of Coratanni Synthetic Enforcers. Some Runners also make their home here, though only rarely.
  • Description:
The Summer Palace is an opulent, fanciful, and oddly historic building constructed within the central swamps of Ylesia. The compound itself consists of three main structures, each surrounded by a vast field which grows various kinds of spice.

The central building is the main house where Kara and whomever her guests are live and stay. The Main house is of colonial design, with large white columns, huge interior rooms, and warm wooden floors that are almost always bathed in light from the large windows spread throughout the entirety of the home. The Summer Palace is clearly designed to be an open and calming space, with nothing really closed off or hidden.

Outside of the main house are two other structures, the slave house and then the guest home. The Slave House, as one might expect is mostly occupied by the former slavers whom have had their tables turned by the Coratani Cartel.

The Guest Home on the other hand is generally occupied by a myriad of Coratanni Runners. These children are given a temporary reprieve from their lives on downtrodden and broken worlds, allowed to enjoy the Summer Palaces large fields, pleasant sun, and perfectly temperate pool.

POINTS OF INTEREST
Main House: The main house if the central structure of the entire Summer Palace, and consists mostly of a large Colonial style building located right in the middle of everything else. The building itself is expansive, containing twelve bedrooms, thirteen bathrooms, two elevators, and a wide range of other rooms with a host of different entertainments.

It is very clear that the main house was built with Luxury in mind.

Most everything inside is richly decorated with latices of aurodium, woven vine-silk carpets, and everything else that smacks of wealth. The house itself carries a pleasant aroma within it, putting most beings at ease. As one might expect the House is off-limits to all but Kara, her more important guests, and the myriad of servants that are required to maintain it.

Fountain: Located right in the middle of the main house is a massive fountain.

Though seeming somewhat out of place, the Fountain is a beautiful indoor garden complete with fruit bearing trees and delicious herbs and vines. The Fountain itself contains cool water, a statue sitting right in the middle of it. The Fountain room is most often used to host parties and large get togethers, a favorite of Kara's and something she loves to show off.

Spice Fields: Sprawling all over the rest of the territory bought by Kara Thawne is a massive field of three different kinds of spice. The field itself spreads to the north, south, east, and west of the main house.

The Field is hardly the largest kept by the Coratanni Cartel and is more of a side-project than anything else. It is here at the Summer Palace that Kara experiments with new and different strains of spice, growing the drugs for 'fun' rather than profit.

Of course the Spice Fields are incredibly well maintained and secured. Worked by slaves, Coratanni Synthetics and Runners watch over everything to make sure nothing is stolen and no intruders actually get any ideas.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Summer Palace, built my Kara Thawne, is essentially a getaway from her Spice City of Ylen.

Though she adores and loves staying within her tower in the Spice City, the planet it is located on doesn't get much sun or warmth. Being a Twi'lek this always sort of bothered Kara Thawne, and thus she came to the decision that she required a summer home of sorts, someplace she could get warm.

It didn't take her long to accept that Ryloth, her peoples homeworld, wouldn't work and other places were likely too much work.
Eventually the Twi'lek settled on the little known world of Ylesia.

Using her families corporation; SIN, to construct the actual Plantation, Kara utilized her own personal wealth to pay for the costs of fabrication. The entire thing went off relatively without a hitch, not even her parents complaining about the fact that she was creating something for herself.

Before long the Summer Palace came into being, with Kara's summer home acting as a place of peace and refuge for those of the Cartel that needed a little more peace and quiet.
