The Liberator
Where one wolf fell another moved to take its place, driving them steadily back. Mia ducked beneath a swipe made for her head, the lupines claws embedding in the cave wall. Red crystals bloomed through the stone as it ripped them free. Her beskad came up in a vicious arc cleaving through the creature's limb before it could turn the claws against her again.
There was no reaction as the limb fell away, no howl of pain, no flinch, just a sharp snap of jaws before its other limb slammed into her torso sending her soaring into the opposite wall, her blade skittering away. She didn’t have time to recover before another was on her, its jaws closing around her armoured forearm as she brought it up to shield her head.
Anger pulsed from her, and Mia leant into it, letting it rise without restraint, her free hand moved, palm towards the beast chest as a burst of destructive energy blasted from her, tearing a hole through the creature's chest. It slumped, its jaw going slack and she shoved it off, reaching for her beskad in the force as she got back to her feet, her anger coming off her in palpable waves.
The beskad flew the moment it reached her palm, cleaving through the air to bury itself in the skull of another, as a blast of telekinetic energy threw another back.
“Ukoror etid norac!” she barked.
