Name: The Sons
Intent: To further document the development of a Unit that is close to my heart
Affiliation: Themselves
Availability: Unique
Quality: A
Type: Special Forces
Strength: 213
Description:
The Sons were once part of Titan Industries Elite Special forces unit called the Sons of Titan. This group of soldiers was perhaps the most well trained, diverse, and effective special forces roving the galaxy. The Sons of Titan were perfectly trained for years to suit nearly any means of combat. They were well equipped, well funded, and had the backing of one of the galaxies biggest Corporations. Most of these assets disappeared when Alric Kuhn was said to be assassinated. When Tsavong Kraal took control of Titan Industries the Sons of Titan were relegated to a roll of executioners. The Son's were used as a means of showing force, going up against Sith Warriors and Yuuzhan Vong alike. They fought hard and effectively in the short "Revolt" That Titan Industries held against the One Sith.

When the terms of the company were brought down, and the dust settles, the Sons were left in greatly reduced number, losing nearly a third of their total forces.

Though Titan Industries still stood, the Sons were left broken, mostly replaced by Tsavongs own Yuuzhan and Myrsha Vong. They were left as simple guards on Titan Industries asset. This left many Sons of Titan completely unsatisfied. They were soldiers, killers extraordinaire, being left as glorified security did not sit well with them. A few of the Sons reached out to their former Commander, Kiran Vess.

All Sons of Titan were indoctrinated in their training. A cocktail of drugs, pheromones, psychological and physical torment had seen their minds completely reprogrammed to follow the word of Titan as law. Kiran, through the kindness of his friend Alric had escaped this fate through counter conditioning. Those Sons that reached out to Kiran asked him how he had gained his freedom. When he told them of the procedure, the pain, anguish, and psychological breaking he had undergone to free himself, the Sons listened carefully. Word quickly spread among the Soldiers, and slowly each one came to a decision.

Out of the one thousands and thirty two Sons of Titan that remained nine hundred and one decided to undergo the procedure.

The decision did not come lightly to any of them, but they knew that in order to have freedom, it would need to be done.

The procedures began, and slowly, agonizingly, nine hundred and one Sons of Titan began to twist themselves back into freedom. Of the Nine hundred Sons of Titan that went through the procedure only four hundred and twenty seven survives. The mortality rate of the procedure was costly, breaking, killing, or driving more than half of the Sons into insanity. Those Sons that remained, the ones that kept their sanity split into small groups. Some joined Saeva Incorporated, Kiran Vess' Private Military Company, others became Bounty Hunters, some retired, and a few simply disappeared.

Two hundred and thirteen Sons did something else however. In a strike for their own freedom, in a reach to never be controlled again these Sons lashed out. Dropping the name of Titan from their moniker the Sons struck a blow against their former corporate owners. They raided the shipyards on Copero, stealing a Skrii-Roi'ik Cruiser Analog and nearly three tons of Equipment from Titan Industries Storage facilities.

The Sons, as they now called themselves banded together aboard this new ship and did what those who loved freedom did, became pirates.

With their knowledge of tactics, the equipment they had, and all their combined strength the Sons banded together to become one of the most feared Pirate groups in the outer rim. Using their Yuuzhan Vong ship, and their knowledge of the Yuuzhan Vongs inner-workings they managed to strike at several dozen transport lanes. Moving slowly and hitting cargo runs for food, trade goods, and sometimes weapons.

The Sons now sit in the outer rim, striking at anyone they please and doing as they want. Their signature armor and it's blue skulls flickering ominously as they hail victims with a single word.

"Surrender."

Alright, looking through this, it's one hell of an interesting read. There's a lot of potential here for kickass stories. I just have one major and one minor concern.

Quality A units require development threads, and for units as large as this one, substantial development may be required. If you have any RP with them that you can link and think might be relevant, I'll be more than happy to take a look and see what we can use.

Also, under availability, you have Rare. If the Sons are the only Sons in the galaxy, then that should be unique instead. Minor issue, but it still needs to be fixed.

Anyway, thanks for the submission, and I'm looking forward to working with you to have it approved.

The Previous submission this one is based off, The Sons of Titan, have a development thread and they've appeared in several other threads over the course of the last year or so.

I've added these under links, there are more if thats necessary.

Sorry about that, been reading through the threads. It looks to me as though everything is in order.

Approved, pending.
