The Songs of Ghosts (Clan Ordo)

Ordo stepped through the hatch and into the ship. Only emergency lights were on. Black out lights drew very little on the reactors which was why they couldn't tell with the scans of the ship. Life support was still active and there was a steady tapping echoing from somewhere, but from what he couldn't tell.

"Anija, HK?" Ordo said on the comm, "we are on board we came through the starboard docking airlock near the aft of the ship."

Ordo held his rifle muzzle down but at the ready as they stepped into the corridor.

"Are you picking up anything yet Ri'ika?" He said as he cycled through his HUD vision modes. "Thermal scans are showing nothing here but I can't look through walls. If you're sensing nothing we'll have to clear it room by room."

Wincing in pain he shoved his back against the metal wall. It was so dark, oh so dark. Heavy, labored breathing came from the young Mandalorian. With a grunt and great effort he pulled his helmet off and tossed it to the ground, his face glistening in sweat. Closing his eyes he let his head fall back against the cool durasteel. Gritting his teeth he took a few short breaths before looking down at his side. Of course he couldn't see anything now, without his helmet he was blind in the dark. He had always had terrible night vision. But he didn't need night vision to know what was there. The sticky sounding resistance he felt when he tried to lift his hand from his side told the story. He swallowed hard so as to not scream.

How had things gone so wrong? Why did he always pick the bad jobs like this? Whimpering now a single tear welled up in his eye. He couldn't feel his feet or his left leg and the smell of melting synthetic fabric and flesh filled his nostrils. Fumbling with his utility belt he lifted out a syringe filled with life saving bacta. Biting the cap off he shoved the needle into the leg that he could feel, releasing the healing juices into his bloodstream. With a realizing sigh he let his head fall against the wall once more as his free hand searched for his helmet.

Rianna was still, "there's life, faint life" She whispered it not sure who or what they had found. She pointed down a hallway that led into the darkness, into more of the unknown.

Her breath felt frozen in her chest, was it her imagination. She looked back at Ordo, she reached back touching first Ordo's hand, and then her lightsaber. It gave her a sense of familiarity to do so, it gave her motion to go forward, carefully. Her senses heightened as they moved. "Anija and HK need to be careful this could be a trap"

It would not be the first time someone had lured the unsuspecting in.

HK led his squad of honor guard, after securing their initial landing zone, into the actual body of the ship, through the narrow, dark corridors. It was something like that old GamesWorkshop game Space Hulk, a team of heavily armored elite troops moving through narrow corridors of abandoned ship. Except they usually got swarmed by aliens and most of them died a horrible death.

"We have landed via dropships in the hangar, our landing zone is secured and watched, but we are more or less opposite to your position, Ordo, let us try to meet up halfway through. No movement on our side, let us hope it stays that way, keep in contact, over."
HK rose his shatterpistol at the ready in one hand, in the other he had the hilt of his lightsaber, his four copy-guards of the Greycloak squad were armed in a similar manner, while his Iron Knight guards had the heavier bolt guns, set to grapeshot rounds for the purpose of this mission.

The droid scanned the corridor ahead, his guards having his back, looking through doorways and windows of each room they passed, carefully, the guard at the back was turned, walking backwards among his companions he kept watch over their flank, in case something decided to drop from the ceiling, or sneak up on them.

"Keep your wits about you, lads."
HK muttered to his soldiers,
"Yessir."
One of them answered absently, paying more attention to his surroundings.

Anija sighed, and checked the power cell and clip on her rippers again. The ship was eerily quiet. She to felt a very faint presence. It wasn't line that was familiar. She moved forward, ripper in hand as she moved down the dim corridor. After a moment, she keyed her com. "Buir, I'm closing on your position from the port side. Got a fix on a faint life sign reading. We should meet up at the coordinates, given our current paths."
