A grin formed on Sorr's face. At least Valenya Valenya was smiling probably for the first time ever. He didn't know how long she was a slave, but Sorr was happy to get her away from Gorgor the Hutt. He chuckled seeing Valenya spread her wings and look at the blue stream surrounding the Tiaza's Purr. There was a childlike wonder inside of Valenya and in a way she reminded Sorr of himself when he was a kid. Sorr would look up at the stars in awe and he told himself that one day, he would venture across the cosmos.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," Sorr said getting up. "We should be approaching Jakku in half an hour."

The young man turned around smiling at the woman. "So do you want something to eat or drink?" He asked.

The words were heard, maybe not at first, and she didn’t even turn to face the speaker. She was ever the listener, speaking only when spoken to, but it was as if she didn’t register speech at that very moment. Like he was there, another person who shared this cockpit on this ship with her, though she was so alone. Lonely, though? No, surely not. Not by far.

The universe had opened its heart to her beyond the viewport in the form of stars, or starlight, or rivers of lights flashing by before her eyes. She was…free. For the first time, like that bird with wings, Valenya was free.

No. A voice inside reminded her. It was the same voice that haunted her for as long as she could remember on that world. You’re still a slave girl. With a collar around her neck.

“I’m…”
Her lips split, feebly as a fish, forget bird, and her word was whisper-thin. “...I’m…” Interlacing her fingers before her face, Valenya’s eyes never left the viewport. Her lips curved upward as she pushed that voice aside with the galaxy’s glow melting in her eyes. “Enjoying…myself…”

Something troubled her just then, furrowed her brows, turned her lips upside down, as she struggled to resist a redness resting in her cheeks. “...Um…” Her stomach had rumbled. Suddenly Valenya's hands became fists as she diverted her gaze and tilted her head away from the smuggler so he couldn’t meet her eyes or see her face.

“I-If you have food and water to provide me with then I won’t deny my hunger and thirst, s-sir!”

She couldn’t even believe she had uttered those words, fluttering them out of her mouth as quickly as a butterfly's wings, but it was too late. The sound her stomach had made was something she could not hide.

"Sir?" Sorr chuckled while placed the Tiaza's Purr on auto-pilot. "It's Sorr by the way. I don't like it when people call me by any other nomenclature." There was only one person who called him captain..... oh how Sorr missed her.

"Go ahead and explore the ship!" Sorr said. "I'll be back with the food and drink!"

He'll need to find a way to free Valenya Valenya the problem was that there was no doubt that Gogor was watching them. Sorr wondered why the Hutt wanted Valenya to go with him. Maybe it was because that he wanted to mess with Valenya? If that's the case then it was another reason why Sorr did not want to work with the Hutts despite them paying mroe.

Sorr reached the lounge collecting the food and drink. He wished M.O.M was here but she was with Brinna Dara Brinna Dara on a mission with her boyfriend. "Hey Valenya!" Sorr said. "I got some Hot Dogs and some Jawa Juice!"

“Oh.” Valenya caught herself after the captain of this ship, if not her captor, corrected her. Head still bowed, facing away from his gaze, she at least felt the burgundy leave her cheeks. She couldn’t put her finger on it but there was just something in the way he conducted himself, his speech as well, that made her feel at ease—under the circumstances at least.

“Sorr…” She whispered the word, weighing it on her tongue as she turned her face toward the viewport. “Sorry, sir—I mean, Sorr!” Go and explore the ship, he said. He’ll be back with the food and drink, he says. She wasn’t certain if she could even believe him or this situation given the collar on her neck. And the fact that I’m still a bird trapped in the cage that is this ship.

Nevertheless she was hungry and thirsty if her stomach and throat were anything to go by. What could be worse than satiating her need if he was offering? At least food and drink would keep her from starving and dehydrating. So, after the captain left the cockpit, Valenya sat back and watched the stars, picturing herself flying between them. Free. That was where Sorr found her when he brought back hotdogs. She hadn’t even left her seat to explore.

“Jawa…Juice?” Head flipped toward him, she licked her lips, eyes widening at the sight. "Hot…dogs?" Hoping her insides weren’t making noises anymore amid the butterflies, though hardly caring at this point, Valenya felt like no less than a dog in the way she gazed at that plate. Only this man clearly did not expect her to beg. Nonetheless she waited patiently and accepted graciously.

Well, she intended to, anyway. Yet, as soon as the juice and hotdogs landed in her lap, Valenya became another person, more of a beast than anything. She sipped the juice, bit the hotdog, then tossed the straw to wash back pieces of bread and meat, chomping and gnashing her teeth as she tore and feasted. She uttered no words, of course, just made noises with her voice.

“Nom nom nom nom nom nommmm mmm-mmmmmm nom nom nom mmmmmmmm!”
