STANDARD FEATURES
  • Decent cargo hold with the capacity to hold two swoop bikes alongside a decent amount of cargo.
  • Cargo hold also contains a workstation with tools/equipment to maintain, repair and otherwise modify most items that the crew will bring along with them. Doubles as the living quarters of the vessel, with bunks for three, a small refresher/kitchenette on opposite sides of the hold. Center space has room for either a single person or a pair of people to spar.
  • Standard universal control scheme for all of the different piloting stations, allowing for members of any species to man, operate, or otherwise pilot whatever station they are on, from the weapons stations for the side mounted turrets, or the rear turret itself, or the pilot/copilot seat.
  • Auto-Doc aboard with several medical kits allows for treatment of most/all minor wounds and stabilize patients with major wounds. This allows for ship to take on injured and to keep them alive until they make it to the next major medical station/hospital.
  • Chaff-Smoke-Flare countermeasures allow for ship to have some more active defenses against missiles/torpedoes without actively having to attempt to shoot down said ordinance. Smoke launchers allow for the ship to deploy smoke screen to provide cover and concealment from enemy sensors to make a hasty getaway.
  • Deployable blaster cannon with an alternate firing mode with Class-D Disruptor rounds to ward off ground personnel attempting to board or otherwise steal the ship. Can be utilized with a gunner or set to an automated defense protocol.
  • Sensor diffusing plates inside the ship allow for concealment of onboard weapons, from the ship's own weapon systems to the small armory located onboard in the cargo hold. This allows for the ship to fly through local customs and deal with other ships scanning them, and not have the weapons come up as a red flag. MLMS Zeus launchers can be seen from inside the vessel, but shouldn't initially raise alarm as missiles feed system is disguised as a part of the ship's internal plumbing and exhaust systems.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Luft Class Life Support System allows for the ship to on the fly take a measure of the organic beings on board and create an optimized atmosphere to accommodate all life forms aboard the vessel, and can even change this atmosphere for each compartment of the vessel. These changes can be done on the fly and even done to specifications of the captain of the vessel or those with authorized access to the ship.
  • Deimos Rapid Fire Point Defense Laser Cannons aboard the ship give it excellent defensive coverage, weapons are in a locked position (only can adjust slightly in the forward facing position) when deployed. However these weapons are concealed unless the pilot deploys them, giving the vessel a sleek civilian appearance.
  • FIE-1 and FIE-2 Engines offer exceptional levels of maneuverability and speed due to their combined thrust and repulsorlift technologies. This provides the ship with extreme levels of maneuverability and speed, allowing it to pull maneuvers normally only associated with average and light fighter craft. This alongside the FIE series engine's extreme thrust to weight ratio allows for this craft to have exceptional speed.
  • Svalinn class shield generator gives the vessel a premium shield allowing for the ship to focus its shields in a particular direction and make use of advanced shapes in atmosphere to promote speed and maneuverability.
  • Silent running mode of the vessel allows it to run a faux-stealth mode where the ship will look like space debris as all emissions, heat signatures and other sensor identifying markers on the vessel will immediately cease. And while the ship can run its engines in this mode, it will retain all of the heat generated, meaning that running engines at extremely low power if at all is recommended.
  • Light Electronic Warfare Suite allowing for the ship to target enemy munitions to defeat them as an added counter measure for remotely guided weapon systems.
STRENGTHS
  • She's fast: This ship has speed and maneuverability in mind when it comes to primary traits, with defense coming in at a close third. Essentially this ship is designed to go wherever, whenever, despite whatever is in the way. And while I wouldn't say it's the fastest ship out there, with a thrust to weight ratio like that, you gotta gotta gotta respect the pilot of this vessel.
  • She's unassuming: This ship, doesn't look like it has any kind of offensive weapons, or any kind of weapons for that matter. It's sleek, gives that high priced civilian feel and flies as well as any yacht out there (if yachts could go fast). But when push comes to shove and some low down bad guy comes knocking for your money, this ship can immediately deploy weapons, including missiles that can lock onto and fire on something behind the vessel. This vessel is great for those pilots out there that want to have one hand offered seemingly in friendship, with the second holding tightly onto that blaster behind their back so if things go south they can suddenly and violently exfiltrate and get out of there.
WEAKNESSES
  • Flies more like a fighter: This ship unlike most freighters doesn't have the turret based defenses that pilots can rely on in dogfights. This means that this vessel will have to actually turn and maneuver with other fighter jockeys if they intend to engage. And sure the pilot can fire missiles in almost any direction, but those are quite limited, meaning that you have only several options to "get out of jail free". And sure this thing is fast and maneuverable for a freighter, but against an actual purpose built Space Superiority Fighter, she's at a severe disadvantage.
  • Silent Running mode: This mode forces most of the ship's systems to shut down or go into a low power state to prevent detection. That means that all of the turrets, chaff/smoke/flare launchers, radar and shield generator will be offline, meaning if someone spots you, you're a sitting duck. And I don't really need to emphasize how bad of a situation that is if you get caught in that.
DESCRIPTION
Approached by Lia Stilben Lia Stilben for a custom vessel for transport and assisting with their research endeavors, Freebirds Industries leapt at the challenge. Utilizing their latest and greatest technologies in materials, power generation, weapons, and even space saving designs for living space, they would make a premium vessel for a premium client. This ship would come with many top of the line amenities, making living aboard while not a pleasure cruise, very very comfortable. Combine that with state of the art controls, seating for three and a maximum crew of two, and a suite of options aboard for when things go sideways, and this is a very capable vessel.
