STRENGTHS
  • Disruptor Shot: The Shyyyo's Claw utilizes disruptor technology along with the power of a kyber crystal to deal with increased damage to shields, armor, organics, and virtually any other target when compared to standard blaster technology.
  • Longer Range: The concentrated beam of the Claw from its kyber crystal amplification means that the pistol has a higher effective range than conventional disruptor technology.
  • High Worth: The Shyyyo's Claw is made out of, among other things, beskar plating and the claw of the elusive Shyyyo bird. Thus, the pistol is not only an extremely powerful weapon but a valuable one as well.
WEAKNESSES
  • Long Ranges: The Shyyyo's Claw is only effective up until average ranges -- the disruptor shot of the pistol loses potency at long and battlefield ranges.
  • Kyber Crystal: If damaged, the Kyber Crystal of the Claw can become unstable and potentially destroy both the weapon and harm its user.
DESCRIPTION
Long ago, a devastating war took place between the warriors of the Mando'ade and those who practiced the Jedi religion. Many lives were lost on both sides, thanks to the incredible skill and strength of the warriors who fought for their Mand'alor. One warrior killed a Jedi during the heat of batter, and having heard of the fabled kyber crystals that powered the lightsabers of the Jedi, took the fallen Jedi's lightsaber for his own. The warrior took apart the blade for the legendary crystal and added it to his own pistol, a rare disruptor pistol capable of doing immense amounts of damage.

The warrior journeyed throughout the galaxy with his kyber-infused pistol, eventually coming upon the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk. Fascinated by the gargantuan Wroshyr trees, the warrior spent months exploring them until he found something that was thought by most to be nothing more than a legend; the rare and giant Shyyyo bird. The Warrior and the Shyyyo bird dueled in honorable combat, until through strength and skill the Warrior was able to fell the enormous avian, taking a claw from the beast as a trophy of his victory and putting it on the holster of his pistol. The Warrior also engraved a feather pattern on the beskar plating of his pistol, after the feathers of the Shyyyo bird which he had fought and honorably defeated.

Upon the warrior's death, the Shyyyo's Claw, as it had come to be known, was passed down through the Warriors descendants, although as the years passed it became less of a weapon and more of an artifact. Carefully guarded, it was thought that no one would be able to take the Shyyyo's Claw and keep their lives until the Sith Empire fell upon Mandalore and brought ruin to the world. Now, the whereabouts of the Claw is unknown, although if someone were to chance upon it, they would find themselves with a powerful weapon at their disposal.
