STRENGTHS
- Nimble: The Shadow Serpent is a fast vessel for its size, with several primary and secondary engine systems linked together. The ship is able to divert extensive power to its engine core allowing it to outpace many ships of its size without sacrificing maneuverability.
- Timeless: The Shadow Serpent is an ancient vessel, centuries old by modern standards. When it was originally built, the Serpents Shadow was a mighty vessel capable of dueling and defeating any ship the Old Republic could deploy against it. By modern standards, it is a pitifully armed corvette.
The Serpent Shadow was the flagship of Tervis Stel during the Great Sith War between Exar Kun's Brotherhood of the Sith and the Old Republic. Built on Empress Teta and manned by fanatical Krath warriors, the Serpents Shadow fought across a dozen different fronts in the war, earning numerous honor kills in its service record. It took part in the climactic battle that saw Exar Kun temporarily take over Coruscant, before being relegated to minor skirmishes for the rest of the conflict. When the Brotherhood of the Sith and their Krath allies were eventually defeated, the Serpents Shadow fled towards the Outer Rim of the galaxy. On the way, it became trapped in a briefly formed Netherworld portal, and trapped in a pocket that moved at a much slower rate than the rest of the galaxy. When they finally emerged, the Serpents Shadow transitioned from being one of the most lethal warships of its time to an oversized gunboat.
