Faction The Shadow Hand Initiative | Final Dawn x Shadow Association

TSOSS BEACON , DEEP CORE
At an Abandoned Relay Station...

Sularen stood within the Main Conference Room of the Abandon Relay Station on Tsoss Beacon , repurposed for perhaps the biggest conference he had ever attended in his lifetime. In this very room , Admiral Natasi Daala unified the remains of the Galactic Empire to form the Imperial Remnant by executing the Thirteen Major Imperial Warlords and collecting their Assets when they failed to reach an agreement regarding the future of the Empire.

Now , Sularen had organized a similar meeting with a similar purpose : To integrate the Shadow Association into the FINAL DAWN and re-organize it into a more Centralized "Shadow Hand Initiative". With recent events at Byss , Sularen required powerful allies within the Core Worlds if he was going to successfully challenge the Galactic Alliance and push forward the Final Dawn's Agenda in the Core Worlds and his planned "Shadow Hand Initiative" was the best way to ensure that everything went as planned.

Given the importance of this meeting , security was tight within the Asteroid with a Flotilla of 5 Invincible-Class Heavy Battlecruisers stationed around Tsoss Beacon while Sularen's Crimson Guard stood guard within the Conference Room alongside a Battalion of Constitutional Guards which acted as a Garrison for the Relay Station patrolling it's many hallways and key areas. It was imperative that what ever happened here did not reach the ears of the Galactic Alliance to ensure the continuation of the Final Dawn's Plan.

Thus , Sularen sat down at the Main Conference Table awaiting the arrival of his Associates within the Final Dawn and Shadow Association in order to begin the process of organizing the "Shadow Hand Initiative" and finally laying out the foundations for the eventual dismantlement of the Alliance. With this new Initiative , Sularen would finally be able to strike back against those who had defied him and finally take what was rightfully his. And with the assistance of High Regent Derix Tirall and Admiral Garrick , he was confident that it would be only a matter of time before his Associates accepted his "Shadow Hand Initiative" after all the Pros of Sularen's Ideas heavily outweighed the Cons.

And even his associates refused , he already had some contingency plans in store to ensure that they co-operated or even better to replace them with more collaborative individuals. One way or another , Sularen would have his Shadow Hand Initiative and the Alliance would fall. This is the will of Sularen , this is the will of the FINAL DAWN.

Under normal circumstances, he would not have been there.

His arrival was signaled by the appearance of the Vindicator and it's stalking escorts. Within mere moments of it's heralded arrival, a single obsidian shuttle departed from it's hold, and within moments of that, the High Regent stood face-to-face with one of Sularen's aides. The aide, apparently a BSDF Captain lead the High Regent and his red guard through the halls of the Relay Station and to Sularen himself.

"Marlon" He extended a white gloved hand to his Grand Overseer. "I'll keep to myself here. I need to see who will be extremely useful and who will be leaders"

The Admiral was not far behind the High Regent and his flanking Palatine Guard, his own entourage made up of crimson Neo-Imperial stormtroopers nearly identical to the ancient Final Order’s Sith Troopers both in design and purpose. They’d arrived to the Deep Core relay station from the nearby Resurrection Class Battlecruiser ‘Vindicator’, flagship of High Regent Derix Tirall Derix Tirall . He knew very little of the proceedings other than what was relayed to him by his superior, the recently appointed Grand Overseer Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen .

The meeting would focus on assimilating the Shadow Association directly under the Final Dawn’s umbrella. The secretive sect of Neo-Imperials were represented by the trio of figures present, Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen himself being a leading figure in both parties.

The Admiral scanned the chamber upon entry and with a gesture deployed his men around the room. As the duo approached their host the Sith Cultist stood at attention with a warm smile, “Grand Overseer, a pleasure as always.”

The First to arrive was , High Regent Derix Tirall Derix Tirall as expected. While Sularen wasn't that fond of the man , as long as he received what he was promised by Solipsis then he had no issue serving under Tirall within the Final Dawn. After all he already enjoyed a considerable position as Grand Overseer which was more then anything the Grayson Imperium , Galactic Alliance or New Imperial Order had ever given to him. So Far the Final Dawn had been more welcoming then the other Factions and thus Sularen had little reason to betray them unlike the Galactic Alliance which turned on him within just a year after his ascension as Lord-Imperator.

"Marlon. I'll keep to myself here. I need to see who will be extremely useful and who will be leaders"

"Of-Course High Regent" Sularen said as he shook hands with the Final Dawn's High Regent. "You will find my associates quite useful in our efforts to conquer the Core Worlds although their loyalty has yet to be tested hence our meeting today. If everything goes as planned we shall be one step closer to our conquest of the Core Worlds through the creation of my envisioned 'Shadow Hand Initiative' which will begin eroding the Alliance from the inside out until the full weight of the Brotherhood of the Maw comes crashing down on them. Already recent events at Byss have exposed a weakness within the Alliance and i intend to exploit it"

Then came Admiral Aldo Garrick Aldo Garrick , another key individual within the Final Dawn. Sularen did not know the man that much but already he had come to respect the Admiral given their shared views. Garrick reminded Sularen alot of Ben Craig , who once served under him in the Directorate but betrayed him to join Credius Nargath and his Zweihander Union in 861 ABY which taught Sularen an Important lesson : to never trust anyone , not even his closest allies. His trust in both Cedric Grayson and Credius Nargath caused him to fall from grace causing Sularen to go from being a Duke in the Grayson Imperium , the equivalent of a typical Imperial Moff to nothing more but a Captain in the New Imperial Navy within just the span of 2 Years. Sularen would make sure he would never go through such Humiliation and disgrace again.

“Grand Overseer, a pleasure as always.”

"Ah , Admiral Garrick it's nice to see you once more. I was telling the High Regent about my plans regarding the 'Shadow Hand Initiative' in which would be used to weaken the Galactic Alliance to the point they will be unable to repel a Mawite Assault on the Core Worlds. After all a Nation toppled by it's enemies can rise again , but one that crumbles from within is dead forever. If the Alliance crumbles from within , then the Core Worlds will be conquered at a faster rate then if it would under a Fully Unified Alliance and my Shadow Hand Initiative will ensure that such this happens one way or another."

A black Delta-class JV-9 Escort Shuttle shot out of hyper space above Tsoss Beacon and aboard it the mercenary captain. Sularen had usually informed him of the odd mission through encrypted communiques so this was more or less out of the ordinary but Kenth heeded the call regardless. The 5 Invincible-class Battlecarriers emerged from the astroids and the pilot immediately spoke. "Looks like we're being locked onto sir." Kenth remained calm and withdrew his data tablet and plugged it into the shuttle's flight computer. "Transmit these codes" Kenth said and in an instant the turbolaser batteries of the Battlecarrier's lowered as the shuttle closed in on the abondend relay station.

The shuttle touched down in hanger 3 and it was instantly met by Sularen's men. "Captain Berik. Your escort is to remain at the ship. We'll show you to the conference room." Berik gave a quick nod to the two Adjudicators which accompanied him before following the constitutional guards. Security was tight and it was obvious Kenth would have to keep his eye out.

Within the conference room he was met with some familiar faces and some strangers, the two most notable bearing insignia the mercenary was not too familiar with. Perhaps he truly had spent too long in the core. He turned to Sularen and gave a military salute. "Lord-Imperator. Reporting as requested. I see your list of allies has grown." he said calmly. Within though he still remained vigilant. The actions of the Shadow Association had been secretive and yet Kenth could sense something was coming.

"Unification is an ideal that is quite difficult to achieve" He reminded Sularen. Natasi Dala had to execute nearly a dozen Imperial Warlords before the barest illusion of unity was achieved, and he would be no different should the actions of Sularen's most prominent allies prove incompatible with that of the Final Dawn.

Deep blue eyes surveyed the first of the Association High Command, a young Kenth Berik Kenth Berik . From what he had been able to disseminate from the numerous reports his number two had submitted, Commodore Berik had been vital in ensuring the continued sovereignty of Byss. Under Final Dawn, such actions would no go without necessitated reward. Admiral Aldo Garrick Aldo Garrick was a prime example of what young Berik could become, and unlike the Imperial machine of old, whatever connection he had with Sularen would not factor into his own ascension, instead his work and merit would.

One of the many great errors the Final Dawn would correct.

"Commodore Berik is it?" His voice was stoically Imperial in nature, marked by clear words and pronunciatated vowels. "Tell me, what is your opnion on the current military standing of the Galactic Alliance?"

"In other words, how long would it take for...say a nascent, secretive organization to confront it's industrial and military prowess?"

Heath Valhoun was home. More precisely he was onboard The Utopia Victory I Class Star Destroyer, half way across the galaxy from where Marlon Sularen had called the meeting. He was going to attend, but not in person. His reasoning was that the meeting was too far away, and he couldn't be so deep in the territory of potential enemies.

Instead he would appear in hologram form when the meeting started. He was uncertain as to what would be discussed, though he assumed it meant Sularen was planning to take the next steps in his plot against The Galactic Alliance. Heath still hadn't amassed the force he had wanted to, and The Triumvirate had done very little to help him thus far. He did not like the lack of support that had been promised, but he couldn't complain. Sularen hadn't used him in any way yet. It was as if their alliance was non existent, just words said between men.

Things had been quiet on Heath's side as well. He had refused to concentrate his forces anywhere, and had instead offered aid to anyone fighting The Sith Empire, and sent forces to fight The Bryn'adul, overextending his limited Empire even more. Of course The King didn't see that he was overextending. In his mind, the more he fought, the more recruits he would get. The more he spent on the military, the more its' conquests would bring in resources. The more alliances he made, the more he could steal for the greater good. In his mind, his council's warnings were invalid and misguided. Only time would tell who was right in the end.

The meeting was set to begin soon, so Heath sent the call. Sularen would receive the call and Heath would greet him, ready to begin the talks.

The younger naval officer looked to Derix as he spoke. The clothes he wore were not traditional naval uniform and he instead prompted one to think of the regal outfits that the advisors to Emperor Palpatine wore. It’s clear he held some level of power as the admiral with him followed rather then led. Kenth listened as the man spoke. He could’ve had asked Sularen who had more intelligence and resources but Kenth thought perhaps he wanted a second opinion. Or this was a test of some sort.

“I’m simple mercenary leader making his way through the universe.” He initially replied. “But if you want my opinion, well, the Alliance military and industrial complex is no easy opponent. They’ve taken on both the Sith Empire and Bryn with resources to spare.” He said while moving his hand up to his chin. Kenth had known Sularen had plans for the core, it seems now he intends to implement the next stage of his operation. “Time would depend on resources and it would require a great deal of subterfuge, men and strong allies. Bringing down a galactic superpower is easier said than done after all.” He continued.

Kenth knew Whatever these men were scheming they would have to act fast. The flashpoint at Byss did not erupt into a violent conflict where one could hide in the chaos but instead harsh and organized action against those involved.

“Well met, if permitted I too would enjoy the honor of hearing your strategy. I also trust the collective gathering will be.. open.. to the idea of assimilation into the umbrella of the Final Dawn.”

A crooked smile spread across his lips, the Sith Cultist turning only upon the arrival of others in the form of Kenth Berik Kenth Berik and Heath Valhoun Heath Valhoun . A brow raised as the Neo-Imperial looked upon them, taking their measure. As the High Regent Derix Tirall Derix Tirall addressed the younger naval officer from the collective, the Admiral made sure to pay close attention to the words exchanged between the two and study him.

“The military junta of the Final Dawn has everything that is required of such an endeavor with direct control over several assets throughout the Core Worlds stretching on into the Unknown Regions. Our actual domain lies within that of the Unknown Regions within the territories of the Brotherhood of the Maw. We exist within their structure and coordinate their efforts.”

The admiral stepped forward, “You’ve seen what they can do, imagine being the guiding hand. It doesn’t stop there either, with our considerable allies and assets in the Core Worlds… we have operations out reaching everywhere.”

Aldo smiled warmly extending a hand shake to the Imperial, “The question isn’t if we can do it, it’s what place do you want to see yourself in when we do.”

"Thank you Admiral Garrick" Sularen said once the Final Dawn Admiral had finished. "In addition to this we have the tools and resources to help you accomplish some of your overall goals which in a certain extent align with our own goals"

"Take Kenth Berik per example. Your Adjudicators have been dedicated into protecting the remaining Imperial Worlds in the Core Worlds from the decadence and Corruption of the Galactic Alliance. However such endeavor has been rendered difficult due to the sheer amount of resources at the Alliance's disposal. With our help we can ensure the further protection of Core Imperial Bastions in the Core Worlds and even liberate certain Imperialist Planets such as Byss , Carida and Anaxes."

"For Health Valhoun , you have established the Revisionist Elysium Empire with the goal of uniting the Galaxy and ending the constant state of never ending conflict that has engulfed it. The Final Dawn holds similar goals aiming to create a Galaxy-wide Neo-Imperial "Pure Order" similar to what we had previously discussed about. By joining the Shadow Hand Initiative , we can help each other and throw aside any ideological differences in order to end the Chaos and bring Order and Stability throughout the entire Galaxy once more."

"The Pros of joining the Final Dawn heavily outweigh the cons gentlemen and with our help we can transform your respective organizations into something bigger , something greater and with better purpose. Together we will provide this Galaxy with a clean slate , a forge a new "Pure Order". No more Empires , Republics or Theocracies but only one singular Purist State ready to bring forth a new era for the Galaxy."

"What say you gentlemen?"

The mercenary's expression remained cold. So it was the Maw who Sularen had allied himself with. Raiders and cultists, hellbent on destroying the galaxy is what Kenth once thought they were but it seemed there was something far more sinister at work. Even while Sularen had given the pros Kenth couldn't help but now look at the two Final Dawn officers with disdain. Working with the dark side. With the Sith. The exact reason Kenth had left the Sith Empire was his disdain for them. They could unpredictable, prone to violence and would rose to power based on inherited powers rather than merit. Still he would have to choose his words carefully and his allegiance even more so.

"Working with the Sith. I remember you originally recruited me to exact revenge on one of their kind." he said. "What place do we have. Those of us who don't revere their overlords as gods." he continued. "While they have power is the vision the Sith have the same as ours?" Kenth refrained from outright cursing the Sith but a hint of resentment was present. He only hoped he hid it well enough behind blind skepticism so the others wouldn't act hostile towards him. For all he knew these cultists could be the type to kill all blasphemers on sight.

"Couldn't have said it better myself, Grand Overseer."

The Final Dawn Admiral and Sith Cultist, Aldo Garrick shifted his gaze back from Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen to Kenth Berik Kenth Berik . He listened intently and snickered in a light hearted manner. Even with the pros and cons provided to the Imperial by the Grand Overseer he was still hesitant, especially with their revealed ties to the Sith. He didn't blame the man, to be associated with the Sith in this time was to warrant death or dishonor in most circumstances if not outright betrayal by their hands. Such was the ways of the Sith Empire, such was the ways of the Old Sith Order.

"Our vision is their vision, we do not serve the Sith as you know them. The Supreme Ruler has... remade them into something grander, as he has us. A pure order will be realized along with a structured galaxy, but this triumph can only be achieved with a dismantling of the current order of the galaxy."

Aldo opened his hand in invitation as a gesture more than an actual reach for the Imperial,

"Your place in the Final Dawn is what you make of it, that is the freedom of the coming dawn. A Final Empire to claim dominion over the stars, one where a man can become anything.. make no mistake we do not serve, we follow. When the time comes it shall be us that inherit the galaxy."

P O W E R
HIGH REGENT OF THE FINAL DAWN

"Excellent"

The High Regent's voice was ominous Within that single word wasn't a baseless sense of superiority- but a glorified promise. The military indsutrial complex of the Galactic Alliance, and it's meager coalition of allies could not withstand even the most minor of economic disruption, otherwise the powerful and ultimately overextended Alliance military would be crippled beyond repair.

The cultist eyed the next individual to appear- via hologram, with genuine curiosity. Heath Valhoun was a name Sularen rarely, if at all, uttered in Derix's perseverance, thus the Sovereign of the Elysium Empire was an unknown. What he did suspect however, was the man's shrouded importance in his Chief Minister's schemes.

"Perfect symphony" He turned to address the young Commodore once more. The young man's ascertain of the Sith as mere boogeymen wasn't unfounded- in fact, the Sith Empire was suffering the consequences of it's myriad of missteps. If only the Zambrano's had learned their mistakes decades ago. "I have no overlords, no gods"

"The vision of the Sith isn't in line with our vision- it is our vision" He paused. There was much to consider here, while the mercenary's comments were rooted in history and he was well within his rights to voice concern, the High Regent concluded the man hadn't truly taken to heart the prospects of a true, Final Empire.

"For far too long, this galaxy has ricocheted violently from ideology to ideology. The struggle between light and dark translated into politics- the eternal war between Democracy and Imperialism"

"How long do you think the allaince between the New Imperial Order and Galactic Alliance will remain? It didn't work for the Fel Empire and it certainly will not work for them. I for one, am tired of constantly teetering on the edge of suicide"

"The end draws near, child. I've served many sovereigns, child. Graf, Malvern, you can name the desperate warlords on your hand- Light always translates to democracy, dark to Imperialism"

"I don't have a religion" A claim with a tinge of truth. "But if I did- it'd be absolute reverence to power. It's the only way to correct our mistakes before it's far too late"

"No."

Heath's answer was simple, bold, and likely a surprise to Sularen and his Triumvirate. Heath decided to give his reasons before they asked him to.

"I will not align myself to the scum that destroyed Csilla in any way. I will remain an ally if you wish to strike out against The Galactic Alliance, but I will not help The Brotherhood of The Maw. Frankly, Sularen, you have not given me anything. Very few supplies have made it to my fleet. Only a handful of weapon shipments, and absolutely no ships, no intelligence reports on our enemies, or anything of the like. I have little reason to stay within this Triumvirate, and now I learn that you are helping my enemies? Why would anyone stay in an alliance if the "ally" does nothing but support an enemy?"

Heath's heart pounded in his chest. He was safe, far away from the men in the meeting, but it was a risky move to call out Sularen in front of so many. The last thing Heath or The Empire needed was another enemy. However, it needed to be done....He could not ally himself with the destroyers of Csilla, the home of his best Admiral and the source of over a third of the refugees to his empire in the past few months.

As expected , Sularen thought. He was aware of Valhoun's recent declaration on the Brotherhood of the Maw and the potential complications that might come with attempting to integrate the Elysium Empire into the Final Dawn. Nevertheless Sularen remained firmed completely confident that the Elysium Empire would cave in eventually. Afterall Sularen had a back-up place to ensure Valhoun joined the Final Dawn and remained loyal to it same going for Vel'alari and Kenth Berik.

"First i would like to state that i was pre-occupied by recent events in the Core Worlds which culminated in the Illegal Occupation of Byss by the Alliance and my Removal from my Throneworld. Second i would also like to point out that i've been allied with the Brotherhood long before we even formed our Pact as they were the "Secret Ally" i had mentioned during our previous meeting. Finally the whole point of our pact was that we would help you consolidate your position in the Outer Rim in return for you helping me and my associates aka the Final Dawn overthrow the Galactic Alliance. The Elysium Empire isn't threatened in anyway by the Maw not to mention you are already surrounded by enemies such as the First Order and the Confederacy which are closing in on your holdings in the Outer Rim."

"Like i said earlier , the Final Dawn could provide you with the resources and materials needed to further consolidate your position in the Outer Rim not to mention that we share similar goals. While indeed the Brotherhood of the Maw has utilized unorthodox methods to carry out it's goals such as the destruction of Csilla , the pros of joining the Final Dawn heavily outweigh the cons. Our reach throughout the Galaxy is limitless and we can help consolidate the Elysium Empire and transform it into a regional power in the Outer Rim capable of fending off it's neighbors. But in order to do so we need more then just an alliance. Without our help Health Valhoun , the Elysium Empire risks getting overrun by the First Order and/or the Confederacy but by joining us we can guarantee the sovereignty of the Elysium Empire under the Final Dawn and perhaps even help you reclaim the Anoat Sector from the First Order."

The Elysium Empire was a tough nut to crack but Sularen knew the outcome and so did High Regent Tirall and Admiral Garrick , one way the Elysium Empire would join Sularen's Shadow Hand Initiative and by extension the Final Dawn one way or another. Integrating the Elysium Empire into the Shadow Han Initiative was critical to Sularen's Plans and he needed to ensure it happened at all costs to further expand the Final Dawn and it's influence in the Galaxy.
