The thunderous cries came over the Senate and for but a moment a small smile formed on the Count's face.
Adron took Lucien's hand into his own, bowing his head humbly to the man as he spoke. "Thank you, but we're not done yet." He said, before turning back to the hall before him.
The Count raised his hand, bringing silence to the Senators who clapped so vigorously for him. "Please....please. What you have done here today was the first step to a greater future. A future where every man has a voice and no one goes unheard." He stated.
"We haven't been that way of late, have we? We have been selfish, we have lacked insight, and more than anything we have forgotten what truly matters. The people. Only a government that truly shows love for it's people is fit to be instilled so long as I rule."
A moment of silence came over the hall, the tension in the air nearly palpable. "That is why as your elected Archlord I hereby call for the reformation of The Dominion into a new Republic for the entire galaxy to witness!" Freedom will rain, and diplomacy would thrive in this new government. The young Count mused, his hand raising to the ceiling as he pointed to the heavens.
"Justice, peace, and prosperity will become the ultimate goal of our Republic. With Serenno leading the way to a new age we shall destroy all who threaten our security and spread our wealth and knowledge to all who would have it!" He yelled, once again the Senate came into a thunderous roar.
"The Dominion is no more, that chapter is closed. Now is the time for the Republic of Greater Serenno!" The senators took to their feet, applaus raining down on their leader.
