COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Unique
  • Deployment: Limited
  • Strengths & Weaknesses:
[+]Heavy Infantry: Though Mandalorians, and thus exceptional fighters on their own, the Sarcina are primarily a heavy infantry group. This means that The Sarcina operate as a tight-knit unit, utilizing heavy weapons such as repeaters, flamethrowers, and other more powerful weaponry. They are exceptionally skilled at facing opponents that are more heavily armed and armored, often thrown into the midst of combat where the fighting is heaviest.
[+]Armor: Hailing from the Mandalorian culture, The Sarcina are each equipped with their own familial Mandalorian Armor. Though this differs from person to person, the Beskar'gam worn by The Sarcina mostly tend to be forged of Mandalorian Iron, and thus are forged for combat extreme condition.
[-]Numbers: Mandalorians who are willing to serve as Mercenaries for Criminal groups are rather rare, and thus there are actually only thirteen Sarcina total. Though they are extremely effective in combat, their limited numbers means their battlefield effectiveness can somewhat be hampered.
[-]Slow: Being equipped with heavy weaponry and wearing rather cumbersome armor, the Sarcina are not built for speed. As a military unit they are rather slow and most infantry are easily able to outpace them. This means that the Sarcina really aren't meant for chasing or fast paced combat, but rather better built for sieges and ambushes.
  • Description:
Once Loyal Mandalorians, the Sarcina are a group of twelve Mandalorian men and women who have forsaken the Resol'nare and have decided to instead serve the Coratanni Cartel.

Though their reasons for abandoning their Mand'alor differ from person to person, each one of the Sarcina once served within the Death Watch of The Undying. Their clans range from Spar to Vizsla, each one of them having once been loyal and each one of them having abandoned the Empire forged by Ra.

Their betrayal was a quiet one, and made no real noise.

Each of the twelve came to the decision on their own, though it was as a group that they left. Once having served under the banner of Warmaster Aryn Spar, the Sarcina left the services of the Mandalorian Empire shortly after the battle of Utapau. Though each had their own reason, they came together as a group in order to survive any would be reprisal.

Disastified with the states of their individual clans, and knowing that they would be branded Dar'manda by their kin, The Sarcina broke away and headed towards the Outer Rim. Their journey was bloody, and quickly the thirteen Mandalorians ran afoot of several governments and criminal organizations.

It was during a short stop at the Shadowport Ylen, that the Sarcina caught Kara Thrawne's eyes. It was the lady of Ylen that took note of the lost Mandalorians, and through her guiding hand they were made an offer to join the Coratanni Cartel.

Though some were displeased by the offer, the majority of The Sarcina saw the opportunity for what it was; Allies, profit, and a chance for a new kind of glory.

Members:
Sila Vizsla: The 'leader' of the Sarcina, Sila Vizsla is an extraordinarily cruel and rather boisterous woman. Having grown up on the fringes of her clan she is neither well known nor really cared about. Though she once carried the name Vizsla as proudly as any other, she ultimately became disillusioned her with her greater family and saw her Clan as more of a burden than anything else. Her reason for leaving the Mandalorians is a simple one, freedom. She wished for more individual choice that she felt she didn't have.

Bril Detta: Brill Detta is one of the gruffest, yet oddest men that one could ever meet. As far as Mandalorians go Brill is one of the more welcoming, considering himself to be friendly, helpful, and nice. Among the Sarcina he is the eldest, and often aids the others in whatever way he can. His reason for leaving the Mandalorians is simple; he felt a duty to the other twelve. Among the Sarcina he is the most likely to return to his clan.

Nirith Eldar: Easily the cruelest of the thirteen Sarcina, Nirith Eldar is a man that has always stood on the very edges of what it means to be Mandalorian. Less of a man, and more of a monster, Nirith fights with reckless abandon at the best of times, preferring outright slaughter to combat. His reason for leaving the Mandalorians is...well he was more kicked out than leaving of his own volition, shunned by other members of his clan.

Siruk Varad: Siruk Varad is the most technically minded of the Thirteen, and is often regarded as the engineer of the group. When the Cartel isn't able to fix something for the Sarcina, it is Siruk that will do most of the repairs for the rest of his friends. His reason for leaving the Mandalorians is more complex, linking back to the fact that he is not the best of combatants, a fact that shamed his father.

Lira Farr: The Medic of The Sarcina, Lira Farr is the one that most often patches up the others of the crew. Though she is no doctor, Lira is more than capable of field dressing and fixing up most small wounds. She is often most appreciated by her comrades. Her reason for leaving lays with her husband Tyr, and though she would go back to her clan, Lira would never leave Tyr behind.

Tyr Carid: The most complex of the Thirteen, Tyr is one of the youngest of The Sarcina. His reason for leaving the Mandalorians is a complex one, derived from his pure and unadulterated hatred of those who claim leadership inside of his people. Perhaps due to an anarchistic nature, or more personal reasons, Tyr has an absolute craving to see most Alor's of the Clans burn upon a pyre.

Xiruk Rodarch: Though once an intelligent man, Xiruk Rodarch has long ago gone a bit...wrong in the head. Cared for primarily by Carin Belu, Xiruk was once an incredibly skilled and deft warrior. Though this is still somewhat true, in the last great battle Xiruk suffered a particularly harsh bout of Post traumatic stress disorder, and this has left him somewhat...unhinged. This insanity comes in many forms, though primarily appears within paranoia of people attempting to kill him, The Sarcina being the only people he actually trusts.

Carin Belu: Xiruk's primary caretaker, Carin Belu is an incredibly fierce and defensive woman who will do anything to protect those she cares about. She left Mandalore alongside the Sarcina for one simple reason; her disagreement with the events currently happening on her planet. Of course being Xiruk's caretaker, the man followed along.

Sylith Spar: Once a loyal member of Clan Spar, Sylith followed the former Warmaster Aryn into combat countless times. After taking part in the burning of Kashyyyk, fighting in both Civil Wars, and running through the raid on Utapau, Sylith decided to leave the Mandalorians upon the death of her Alor. With Aryn gone, she felt less of a connection to her people, and thus decided to join The Thirteen.

Nia Sornell: Nia is an incredibly intelligent, and manipulative, woman. The youngest of all The Sarcina, Nia was born and raised in an incredibly small and insular Clan. From early childhood it was incredibly clear that Nia was mischievous, if not outright malevolent. This malevolence saw her exiled from her clan, and having nowhere else to go she joined The Thirteen.

Veru Itera: Veru Itera is perhaps the most mysterious of all the Sarcina. Middle-aged, quiet, and generally stoic, nobody really knows why Veru joined up with the Thirteen. When coaxed and prodded by the others, Veru will most often simply say that he enjoys the company of the others, though whether this is a lie or not is a complete and utter mystery.

Zix Alar: The most joyous, mirthful, and oddly prideful of all the Thirteen; Zix Alar. Though not much is known about young Zix, it is obvious to the others that the young man is one of the more...excitable of their ranks. Young Zix greatly enjoys combat, fighting, and battle in general. It was he that urged the others to join the ranks of the Cartel, and often he is the one that closely associated with members of Coratanni. His reason for leaving the Mandalorians changes every time he is asked, ranging from simple adventure to tales of murder.

Hera Deshra: Though she refuses to speak about most of her past, the other twelve of the Sarcina are all aware that Hera Deshra was a member of Death Watch that was often sent to handle the...darker side of Ra Vizsla's campaigns. During the first Civil War Hera was one of those sent to light the fires on Kashyyyk, and even now she freely kills without much of a moral compass. Her reason for leaving the Mandalorians is unknown.
