The Galaxy is Broken.
The Jedi are Scattered.
Everything is flooded in D͖͎̪̘̤ạr̠͉̦̮̮͇̠k̖͙n̢͉̫̻e̖͔͖ś̱̻͚̞̥̪̪s̸̻̖̬͙̻͓.
The First Order has pillaged and subjugated large swaths of the southern quadrant of the Galaxy,
the Sith Empire continues to conquer its way across the Outer Rim untested.
Other bands of Dark Siders ravage the Galaxy practically unopposed.
Only the wartorn remnants of peace and prosperity remain in a galaxy plagued by darkness and strife and few are left to oppose the growing evil throughout the wartorn Galaxy. These scattered pieces must come together, we must fight back. We must continue to resist the tyranny of the Dark despite the odds measured against us. So long as one being stands against the tide there is something worth fighting for.
Always remember that a single spark of COURAGE can ignite the fires of HOPE.

IN CHARACTER OVERVIEW
The fires of rebellion have ignited all across the stars.
Out of the ashes of the fallen and downtrodden comes the fledgling Resistance, a series of rebellious fringers, trigger-happy flyboys, grizzled veterans, and stoic Jedi Knights cobbled together into ragtag rebel cells from all over the galaxy intent of fighting back.
The Resistance is on the run, always moving and finding new haunts from which to strike out at the enemy that holds dominion over the galaxy. The Resistance Fleet is scattered, spread out to avoid being caught and massacred in one fell swoop by the dark forces. Its Admirals and Generals scramble to find resources to restock and rearm their ships and armies by any means necessary without the vast resources and territory.
Resistance fighters use the Criminal Underground, established smuggler’s haunts, and shadowports to traffic information and resources in and out of occupied space.
Chaos is everywhere, the Resistance is only held together by thin strands of courage and determination.
At the heart of the Resistance everything relies on the broken remnants of a fleet and a worn-out battlecruiser which has been modified into the Resistance’s mobile capitol city, moving from system to system.
From here the ashen remnants of government met and constructed a new charter to establish a wartime government capable of acting in the best interests of the sentient beings throughout the galaxy without much of the bureaucracy associated with operating interplanetary governments. Without the need to defend planets and the civilians that reside on them or fight fairly. Without planetary holdings or vast resources to quantify and allocate, the Provisional Government has become streamlined to ensure their operation is better able to combat the totalitarian forces of darkness.
Newly elected Chief of State Gul D’razi has issued a call to arms across every sector of the galaxy.
“In our pride, in our willingness to believe that war was at an end we allowed ourselves to believe we were unassailable. We were wrong.
The Alliance was born from the ashes of the Republic, torn from its remnants by the constant wars and conflicts we suffered through. And from its tribulations the Alliance was made strong, tempered in the fires of war. It fought for territory, it fought for freedom, and for patriotism. We have fought our enemies at every turn and we have lost untold numbers of loved ones in doing so.
And it is a fight we can no longer continue. We are now fighting for our survival, and our extinction looms on the horizon. If something does not change soon, if we do not change, we will have nothing left to defend.
And that means we have only one choice. We must ATTACK.
To those trapped under the oppression of the First Order and the Sith Empire, this is not the end.
We will enter each battle with greater resolve and determination than the last. We will exhaust the enemy at every turn.
We will learn from every battle, and move forward with new and more innovative tactics.
Our rallying call will echo across the galaxy and more will join our cause with each battle.
We are the RESISTANCE.

OUT OF CHARACTER OVERVIEW
The Resistance is an attempt to bring to life the various concepts of the Rebel Alliance, from Rogue One to Phoenix Squadron and Saw Gerrera’s Rebels, and the Resistance we see throughout the Star Wars franchise.
The concept for the Faction is to promote creativity and story, not become a massive juggernaut on the Map and control more Hexes than everyone else. The Resistance isn’t just big heroes with all the best tech riding the biggest ships. Some of it maybe well-funded and professional, others dark and ruthless with only scavenged equipment. The only important theme is that overall the Resistance is outnumbered, underfunded, and determined to keep fighting anyway. Overall the Resistance is Light Side oriented, but this is war. War is ugly and grim. The lines can get blurred in dark times, and thus not everyone in the Resistance is expected to be Goody-Goody.
The Resistance consists of small Task Forces of ships, starfighter squadrons, small ground detachments and the like. Some might prefer the commanding of ships, others prefer infantry, and some might like the idea of a single freighter and crew bounding through the galaxy blasting stormtroopers as they go. Jedi and other Fringe groups are on the run alongside the Resistance, with government officials doing everything they can to find new allies to pledge their support. All are welcomed options for writers within the Resistance.
