The Raulynate is a Semi-Nomadic Magocratical Autocracy led by the current Ancient of War Almira Magrath, founded upon the death of the late Duchess Magrath.

Inspired by the historical Mongolian Empire that rose to power under Genghis Khan; the Raulynate also derives inspiration from the Sith holdings that formed after the collapse of the Chagras Hegemony. Much like the Mongolian Empire, the Raulynate is crafted, and aimed at the creation of a Semi-Nomadic organization. Thus the faction itself would focus more on administration on the grand scale, leaving local administration to captured worlds.

First and foremost, while it is inspired greatly by the Mongolian Empire, it also has a great deal of inspiration coming from similar "cults of charisma" with a focus on ancestral worship. The Mythra Maiden is a deified Duchess Magrath, risen to such lofty heights by her children, and loyal followers. Much of the more religious aspects follows in the form of devout followers seeking to make their deity's will manifest, while also adhering to the Magocracy often found in similar Force Cults.

Unlike many Force Cults, the Raulynate is dedicated to the use of more conventional weapons, refusing the use of Lightsaber. Their focus is on weapons such as vibroblades, and martial arts, as fitting of Almira Magrath's background. This also means that the faction is focused on the acquiring of lightsaber resistant materials to provide them the means to produce a more "fair" fight. This does not mean though that they shun the use of Force Powers, with the most devout viewing the Force as a gift from the Mythra Maiden.

If there are any questions, comments or concerns, I would love to hear them. Either in this thread, or in the Q&A. I am open and willing to answer any questions you may have, and I will do my best to provide you with the information that you request.

Additional information was added to the Raulynate Faction write up due to a couple of important parts having been missing. I still want to encourage those whom are interested or have an interest in the faction to please make your comments, questions and concerns known. I will endeavor to respond promptly to each and everyone whom does so.

The long term (and short term) goals of the Raulynate can be found on the faction write up page. However they are as follows.
Securing the Unknown Regions
Ensuring the Raulynate
Establishing Ties with other Factions
Blades that can stop Fire (In other words, securing lightsaber resistant materials)
Bringing Order to the Galaxy
Currently there are no relations with other Major Factions or Minor. Their location however was chosen (and I will admit it was done so by personal bias) to place the One Sith as a buffer between its own fledgling existence and Factions it would consider to be enemies (such as the Republic and Mandalorians).

What's so different between the former Avidionian Dominion and this Raulynate besides simple differences in government?

How does the Raulynate plan on bolstering its memberbase and maintaining a moderate to high level of activity?

The differences between the two factions are clear.
The Avidonian Dominion resulted from the idea of a safe haven for the Sith after the collapse of the former Sith Empire. As this function became moot with the rise of the One Sith in the Core Worlds, it was forced to change and become something else. It thus shifted into an Aristocratical Magocratic Hegemony, that after the March Event, was beginning to shift away from its ties with the One Sith. The Avidonian Dominion was shifting towards a Neutral stance, in which it was more focused on the people of the Galaxy (the little NPCs running around making the things work) and providing them with security and safety. It was also on the road to adopting the Insidious Force idea, which would have placed it as a faction calling for Balance and a peace between the Jedi and Sith (a rather unconventional and unpopular idea).
Thus the Raulynate is the result of the death of the Duchess Magrath. It is formed from anger, grief and sorrow. Where the Avidonian Dominion was attempting to move towards Peace, Balance and Order, the Raulynate is dedicated to prince Peace and Order through Vengeance and Fire. It shares similar ideals as the former faction, however its own beliefs and how to achieve its goals differ greatly. The change in governmental structure and function was also as a means to ensure the factions own survival. A more mobile faction based around the highly mobile and decentralized Mongolian Empire produces a faction that could serve as a flash point of stories even if their original territory becomes over run (as they can simply move their capital as the map capital would be symbolic).
In terms of bolstering its member base and activity, that is a question that can easily be answer, though hard to enact. While the faction itself has merit, is possible a new idea not done on the site before and has promise; there is always the difficult of bringing people to it. Already it was brought up by a member that they view its preference for using non-lightsaber based weapons as hampering to its own progress. Likewise it could take some time to gather members due to it having been a previous faction that changed (as they might be weary of joining a faction, due to the belief that it may change again).
There are also the other factions to contend with. Similar Outer Rim factions such as the Lords of the Fringe with its larger member base and the Primeval with its rapid growth are themselves a challenge in terms of collecting and drawing members to the Raulynate. They may believe what is the point in having the Raulynate in the Unknown Regions so close to other already establish Major Factions and may shy away due to that reason alone.
However, I believe that the faction will survive on its merit, as well as the dedication put into it by myself and those members whom are willing to help it grow and push it along. We may start off slow at the onset, yet I believe the faction will and can grow to produce something truly unique for the site.
