Keira Cerdulan
Beloved Renegade
For Keira, things were a complete and utter mess, for the Empire? Things were going just dandy, such was the bureaucracy of a major Galactic power. Besides, Keira was just a little pirate whelp who had grown a bit too big: nothing to actually make that much of a focus for.
And so, Keira wallowed in her own shortcomings as a commander: as of now, she was the sole Mastiff. During the fight above Corellia the entirety of Mastiff Squadron were slain: leaving Keira simply and surely alone. But the Empire didn’t care, and she was thrust right back into the role.
“Raptor Squadron” they called it.
It was strange, she couldn’t lie to herself: her beloved Interceptor was scrap now...and a new and shiny Space Superiority fighter was what she had to her name: and the men and women she had flew alongside for years were little more than scrap floating above that damnable world. Would these newbies fill the void? Hell if she knew.
But Command had deemed it important to practically figure that out, the Squadron was going to have it’s first of many meetings now. The small Corellian kept herself very uncharacteristically composed, bitter maybe, a smidge of apprehension: maybe even nervousness.
But when you’re a pirate, you learn to keep a straight face. Leaving it little more than conjecture.
Approaching the blast doors where the new squadron members laid, Keira breathed in and stepped inside: the hiss of the opening doors offering little comfort to her. A fascinating bunch, truly, looked far from the rabble that was Mastiff Squadron…
