LFG The Pulse That Ate the Stars

I wanted to understand what made Force Wizards what they are. Replicate it. Improve it. And in the end reverse it.

The synthetic lattice was stable, the excitation levels nominal. It was just another test. Just another quiet moment in my quiet laboratory.

Then the air fractured. My body twisted, not in pain, but in dislocation. Like I was stretched between versions of myself. I saw one of them die. Another build something vast. Another dancing with a fine and distinguished gentleman.

I screamed. Or I think I did.

Then came the pulse.

No light. No sound. Just a widening nothingness that consumed every signal. A synthetic Force echo rippled outward from this place like a tsunami, not weakening with distance, but gathering mass.

Now there is something forming. I can feel it.

Nearby planetary sensors picked it up first. It looked like a gravitational shadow, not mapped, not possible. Long-range comms started reporting glitches, overlapping timeframes and darkened stars.

I think I made a singularity.
But not one born of mass.

It feeds on what might have been.

And it is growing.

If anyone hears this… do not come looking. Not unless you know how to undo a Force that never should have existed.

OOC:

What Liin unknowingly triggered isn’t just a ripple - it’s the seed of a synthetic singularity: a false gravity well birthed not from collapsed mass, but from collapsed reality. As the signal spreads across the stars, it doesn’t weaken. It grows, feeding off uncertainty, alternate outcomes, and places of strong emotional resonance. The synthetic Force pulse has created in a sense; a spreading instability. What began as a ripple is now becoming a singularity - a black hole of reality, slowly devouring consistency, time, memory, and even the Force itself.

* The laws of physics are eroding near the epicenter.

* Force-sensitive users begin suffering
bleeding migraines, shadowy visions, or compulsions.

* A new gravitational anomaly appears on star charts - not mapped, not natural. It is pulling systems, thoughts, and possibilities towards it.

Anomaly Effects for Other Characters

  • Dead planets whisper - audio logs play messages from the future (or a future that never came).
  • Ships vanish without distress calls - only to return a day later, aged a century.
  • Force users feel reversed gravity in the Force - Light feels heavy, Dark feels freeing.
  • Black hole forming mid-space - doesn’t pull matter, but memory.
  • Entire outposts enter “temporal quarantine” - repeating the same day with no escape.

This is a horror/mystery/open thread idea. Your character might:

* Feel drawn to the anomaly (especially Force users).
  • Have dreams or visions of their “other selves.”
  • Encounter corrupted versions of familiar places or people.
  • Discover that their ship, crew, or mission has shifted - and they don’t remember the original version anymore.

All signs point to one name due to the knowledge of her experiments:
Liin Terallo. And she may be the only one who can stop it -or make it worse.

If this catches your eye and stirs the imagination, then either comment below or send me a message.

Thank you :)

This is intriguing, and possibly very personally motivating for Wrathian. He got sucked into what he called a "hyperspace anomaly" It slingshot him forward in time quite a great deal, he's always been a fish out water amongst his people so this would be quite compelling for him. I'll go ahead and join my Diarchs for this too!

Oh however did that happen? Time and space is an interesting paradox, ha ha!

Ah a fellow pureblood from ye olden days!

I think a sorceress in the force would feel this and investigate.
