Description: The Amathia was designed to fill the role of small corvette, primarily for civilian or diplomatic transport. While the ship is on the low end of the Corvette spectrum, the armament, deemed necessary for the transport of high profile individuals, necessitates the designation of corvette. The small, sleek vessel, coupled with the EZY engines, ensures that the ship is not only fast, but relatively quiet as well. The only downsides were that the ship couldn't have dense armor, so this was compensated for with higher end shielding. As far as Corvette's go, it is less than even the regularly balanced production lines, but this was done to ensure that the ship was not deemed a military vessel by most classifications, even though it can certainly pack a punch if necessary. All in all, it's a quick little corvette that can get you where you need to go safely.
The Prometheus Latch was purchased as a personal transport vessel with a few modifications made, in secret, based on the knowledge of who the primary user of the ship would be. Equipping it with the components necessary to make the ship almost as stealth as one can make it without true stealth technology involving stygium crystals. Of course it can be seen via the naked eye, but this particular Amathia-class has been painted a matte-black in order to make it more difficult to spot as well. The addition of the various modules has resulted in a reduction of weapons systems, with this particular Amathia-class having two less turbolaser turrets.
