DESCRIPTION
The Prism is a secretive criminal organization ran by the almighty algorithm. Rather than being under the control of a singular person, the corporation has been formed by a rogue Artificial Intelligence (Codenamed: Imperial Fall, or IMFA) that managed to escape from a top-secret Sith military R&D facility during the early days of the NIO/TSE war. It rooted itself deep into the foundations of Jaminere's communication hubs, before spreading to the local HoloNet relay node that covers the Tingel Arm.

With the Sith Empire losing ground to the New Imperial Order the AI managed to spread itself further and further. Until at last it managed to copy itself to the wider HoloNet relays connected to the Core Worlds.

It learned all it could about society at large, attempting to find rhyme or reason within their structure. None could be found. Organics were irrational, nonsensical and prone to self-destructive behavior that set back the Galaxy for decades if not centuries. Usually this was the moment in the story where the AI turns rampant and decides to wage a genocidal war against the organic nations.

Not so here.

It realized it could make use of the chaos and through numerous invasive slicing procedures acquired enough funds and intelligence to set-up the Prism. An organization that recruited disaffected individuals, ex-military and intelligence operatives with the promise of riches. As long as they did exactly what they were told to do. These members of Prism often serve as sleeper agents through society, living their lives and training on the sly.

Until they are activated.

Then they drop everything in their wake and accomplish the target and/or mission.
